  1. Hi all! We are cruising Odyssey of the Seas  on February 3,2023. I am a bit confused about reserving seats for the shows. It has been a while since we cruised Royal Caribbean and I read a post that indicated that we should reserve seats for the shows. This was not the case on all our previous cruises. When I go into my app, under entertainment, there is only the option to reserve one show? We really like the nightly entertainment, especially the comedy shows and would be so disappointed if we were unable to get in to enjoy them. Am I missing something?

I didn't book very far out when I had GTY's so mine usually popped up quickly but I would be doing the same thing. It's part of the fun. 😁

Right?! I feel like I am doing something "special" by figuring it out ahead of time!

All you had to do is locate your booking online to see cabin number

All of my documents just say "GTY". No cabin number unless I am looking in the wrong place?

  3. HI all!

I booked a Guarantee Balcony for our upcoming Odyssey cruise. We sail in 5 weeks. I did a mock booking and balconies are sold out, as is most of the cabins on this 2/3/24 cruise.

I completed my Pre-check in and added my Set Sail Pass to my Apple Wallet. So happy to see this "trick" worked and I was able to see my cabin assignment! I am very happy with the cabin assignment, a category 1D on deck 12.

My question is, what are the chances that I will keep this cabin? I really hope I do! 🙏

  4. Hi All

We recently booked a Balcony Guarantee on the Odyssey 2/3-2/11/24. I was not given the option to "pick your room". Now it looks like the balconies are all sold out on this sailing.

My question is this. I saw that a Deck 11 forward facing "spacious oceanview" cabin is available for just a small amount more money. Should I book the OV instead of risking an obstructed view balcony cabin?

I am thinking my odds are not great to get a decent balcony cabin with the category already sold out. The spacious Oceanview has a large window looking forward. That looks cool to me.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

    Mary

  5. Thank you so much for your amazing review! We will be boarding next Wednesday as you are disembarking. Seems so far away!

Can I ask you if you have seen cornhole boards anywhere onboard? Several guys in our group of 13 are huge Cornhole players and would bring their bags if so. I have not been able to figure it out.

Would greatly appreciate your response! Enjoy your time!!

Did you get the drink pk/internet pkgs, too?

Even without,  for 11 nites balcony, I consider that a fair price. $1,220/person.

What do you believe is a fair price?

I was not referring to the price itself but the price difference between an ocean view and a balcony. I feel we got a good price but am really hoping for a price drop on the balcony cabins before final payment in October. I am used to a large difference between balcony and suite but not so much balcony and ocean view. I now have a better understanding from all the great information provide in this thread!

  7. Hi, I have not booked a cruise in a few years. I am wondering if RCL will still honor a price drop if that should occur? Would they provide onboard credit or honor a better price? Thanks and sorry if this has been asked a thousand times. I was not finding the exact answer I was looking for! Mary

Freedom has no sailings scheduled between January 19 and March 1. I think the first official sailing is now scheduled for March 8.

This should alleviate some of the congestion for our 1/26/20 Epic sailing. We have a group of 10, we have a 1:30 boarding time and some of our group have an even later boarding time.  We usually board around noon but wonder if this is going to be an issue?

  9. HI I tried to search for this answer with no luck. I am wondering how early we can board Epic in San Juan? 9pm is the departure time. When I did the online check-in, I had to pick a time and got the 1:30 slot for boarding. I am used to boarding around noon time on other cruise lines but have never been on a cruise that leaves so late. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
