I will need to request a wheelchair for my father on Anthem 2023 TA. He only needs the wheelchair (knee problem) so he can explore the ports in Azores, Cherburg and Le Harve. He DOES NOT need a special disabled access cabin. Trip is booked through Agent so I suppose we need to contact them

Will Royal bounce him if we request the wheelchair I have heard they can be a bit funny? Is there  a cost for the chair? And would what happened if we rocked up with the wheelchair WITHOUT declaring such need on the health form the will surely send out?

Thanks for the help in advance guys.

Purchase a companion chair. It’s cheaper than renting one. The airline will let you check for free

dinning package is better overall. look at the some of the menus that is posted here and a decent dinner will always be over 50 dollars

Look at the price of Maderno and Tepyenoke ( i can't spell it) they are flat rate restaraunts and it may actually be cheaper go go their not on a package.

  3. I just got off the escape, the best deal is the unlimited premium internet. ONe devise is about $33 per day it may be a little higher. NCL which I love to cruise on does charge a lot more than any other cruise line I know for internet. I am going on a 12 day Princess ship next month. I go four divices with unlimited internet for less than I paid for one divise for a week on the Escape.

Try to pay a little more when you pick your seats and choose the seats at the back of the plane where there are only two rather than three.  I think we paid like $15 or $20 to upgrade them last year.  It gives you more room next to the window.

I’m going there also but booked my own air, burned all my miles and got the three seat row for my wife and myself , that should make the trip a little more bearable

We just off the Escape and discovered new changes since our Escape cruise in March of this year.

There are no more beach towels left by an attendant for you in the cabin. We were informed by our cabin attendant this was implemented just 2 weeks ago. Now you have to go to the deck 16 pool area if you want these towels and then return them afterwards. Quite an inconvenience if you have few beach days in port one after another.

We were looking for a little nice voucher booklet with our Platinum perks for specialty restaurants. We couldn't find it until we saw that those vouchers are now a simple printout on a piece of paper. Another little touch lost.

I know I'll get the responses "go get your own towels!", "who needs nice paper for the vouchers" and such. Every time we cruise with Norwegian something is taken away, little by little, and IMO it's cheapening the whole experience.Well, this is MY opinion and  things along with non-existing towel animals and such it's what made cruising special for us.

I agree. The cost of the specialty restaurants is getting ridiculous. We have already paid for food for the cruise, the prices NCL wants is more then I pY for a similar restaraunt at home

  6. For the first time I am using NCL's flight program. They have booked me on an 11:10 am flight out of Miami International. That just seems very early to make it to the airport. I always thought noon was the earliest safe time for a flight home. Please anyone with experience please let me know if I should try and make my flight later.

    Thanks for any help

  7. I have four upcoming NCL cruises planned and we are Platnium plus on NCL so I love NCL. Current we are on a Princess ship and their cost of internet is almost free compared to MCL. You can get four devices with unlimited time, great download speeds and streaming for $100 total. The same on NCL is over $1000. Why? If only you want is one device it’s $60 per week if you purchased ahead of time or $70 per week if purchased on the ship. Crazy for the price diffetanc with NCL

  8. My wife and I are Platnium Plus so with our perks and the UDP we get 5 dinner each on a 7 day cruise.  We paid for it so why not use them. 5 nights of upscale dinning is too much for us so we take friends we have made on the ship to dinner. On our last cruise I was told that the UDP dinners were not transferrable so we could not take our friends to dinner ( we actually had to pay for them and wound up leaving dinners unused). Does anyone know if this is actually the policy of NCL?

    thanks

I certainly hope they will have Howl at the Moon!  So far, every -Away class and -Away Plus class ship has had HATM.  I'd be very disappointed if the final ship in the class didn't wind up with the show as it's one of my all-time-favorites to do on NCL cruises.  I wish they had it across the entire line including the older/smaller ships.

Bliss doesn't that why we haven't done it. They replaced it with a slient disco, how stupid.

Well crap...  I just assumed they were on Bliss as well since they've put HATM on every ship since Epic.  Also assumed they'd add them to Joy during the dry dock.

That's going to be disappointing for our Encore cruise if they don't have HATM.  We love late nights with the piano guys.

I'm glad my wife and I aren't the only HATM fans. We will not book the BLiss because of no HATM. Make sure you let NCL know how you feel, they could add it to the Encore instead of the stupid slient disco.

  11. Hi all, I just booked my first Oceania cruise on the Sirena. Have done many cruises, lately on NCL. What can my wife and I expect differant and do we have to dress for dinner? We have gotten very spoiled on NCL not having to dress. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  12. We are Platinum on Carnival and have enjoyed all our 14 plus cruises on Carnival. Our cruise last week did not have good service and the food was not as good as past cruises. We can afford 2 balcony rooms for our family of six on Carnival but are interested in a change. Has anyone found rates on any other cruise line to be close to the Carnival rates? Also, how do the ships compare to the ones on Carnival. We are not looking for anything fancy, just pretty and nice. I personally don't like having to dress up a lot on vacation and I know Carnival is more casual than most cruise lines. We will stay with Carnival if all the other lines will cost a lot more.

My wife and I have done nine cruises on Carnival and have switched to NCL. We love their big ships. The entertainment is fantastic. They have a small room called Headliners that alternates between comedians and Dueling Pianos, it’s fantastic. The only thing I miss from Carnival is the Guy’s Burger Bar

  13. This is so stupid and frustrating, so I'm posting in case others have answers, or later have same questions!

I called Enterprise at Miami airport to see if they had a shuttle from Mia airport to the port. The person said no.

Some people on another thread swear there's an Alamo shuttle to POM, although perhaps they didn't understand that I was renting at the airport.

I called Enterprise back a few days later, during the day, and was told I could use Alamo's shuttle if I will be returning a car to Enterprise.

I called Alamo to see if they have a shuttle. They said no, except that the Port of Miami rental center has transportation. I then tried to book an Alamo pickup at the airport and drop off at POM and it said there were no cars available. I couldn't tell if that was because their shuttle (if they truly have one) is only one-way or if cars were simply booked up, or what.

I went on the Enterprise site, looked at the info that came with my reservation at the airport, and it mentions a shuttle that runs every 15 - 30 minutes to POM.

So does Enterprise have a shuttle from the airport to the port? Any specific days? What's the number for the Miami airport location?

What about Alamo, or any company other than the one I queried which gave me a two day quote of $195 medium sized car? (Dates WERE correct - two days!)

What car rental companies can I use at Miami airport to rent a car for two days, return it, and then take a shuttle to POM?

Right now I'm very frustrated. It's not a life or death situation if there's no shuttle (is Uber allowed in the airport?) but I don't want to spend more time calling, reserving, and calling to find a shuttle.

I have done it at least a dozen times with Alamo. I have picked up the car at FLL and returned it to MIA and took their shuttle to POM
