Just finished a 7 day cruise on the Breakaway. Not going to do a full review but here are some of the important things to know.
1. If you are not from New York get there a day early and check out the Air Craft Carrier museum next to where the Breakaway docks. It is fantastic.
2. Be prepared for a cold day the first day out and the last day coming back, BUT plenty to do inside the ship.
3.If one of the shows isn't to your liking there is always something else to do.
4. We absolutely loved Howl at the Moon, its three piano players rotating two at a time playing lots of great music and funny bits.
5. For you non Chicago people Second City puts on several shows they should not be missed especially if you like SNL.
6. Cagney's Steak house was great well worth the $30 up charge.
7. The staff was very friendly, we even had several of the piano players from Howl at the Moon join us for food in the Buffet several times. It was fun to get their view of things.
8. Don't buy a hot dog from the Hot Dog cart at check in, there are several of these New York Hot Dog carts on the ship and there the dogs are free.
If you are considering this ship I say go for it. If you have any question I will be glad to any if I know the answer.

We cruised on MSC in January and dropped off our car at Budget's 17th Street location. They have a shuttle but it is also a two block walk to MSc and one of Princess's docks.

Just off the Getaway, after a great crossing of the Atlantic. It was the best of my 26 cruises. The ship is beautiful, the food was great and the entertainment was out of this world. On many nights we sea three different shows.
This ship is not to be missed
