  1. I second the notion on insurance. Should you need to cancel you'll be glad you had it. Although I can't comprehend how some folks don't like cruising, you msy want to try one before booking multiple (unless you're just planning ahead to 2024. Sounded like you were booking two). I always book as early as possible, for best selection and more time in planning mode 😁😁😁😁
  2. Honestly I thought it was awesome. My dd often grabbed (and subsequently lost) the compass, so I used it to check operating hours, etc. We also used it to reserve shows and check the "extended" menus, as MDR didn't show vegan options on the paper version. I only cared because dh saw polenta fries one night. The app worked well for us on Oasis, and at Coco Cay, where I was trying to navigate without a map. We forgot to grab one. Although activities aren't well laid out on the app, we used it otherwise and were happy with it.
  3. We don't have either and my daughter loved the arcade.
  4. Absolutely. Being we may invite her, I feel we are bound to pay her cruise fare, but I don't expect to pay $50 each day she goes to the arcade, etc. And I would pay for her to do what we do (excursions) but not for souvenirs etc.
  5. In a moment of temporary insanity, I've considered letting our then 13 yo dd bring a friend on our cruise next year. If we do it, other than her own passport, etc, what would be required from her parents (who are divorced, but I'm assuming she needs permission from both) for us to bring her? I realize things can change, I'm just trying to figure out if this is even feasible. We would be leaving from the United States but visiting Nassau and Labadee, among others.
  6. I thought about it but I don't know anyone personally who is going and people are, understandably, leery of buying from strangers.
  7. It seems so. I'm waiting. They offered me to extend the validation date for 6 months but we're not going to Florida anytime soon. I'd even be willing to "donate " the money but we also spent a significant amount of money there. Lol
  8. Beautiful downtown Staten Island. (I grew up there....so it's fair game lol)
  9. I don't know many people who can afford $750k.... anywhere. That's the kind of money that resides in NYC. Lol
  10. See and I paid $84 but felt kind of stuck. Bought tickets, and they gave us tickets. I threw myself on the mercy of KSC for a refund. At least now I know I'm not crazy.
  11. So here's the thing.... I could swear it said it was transportation only so I bought tickets to get in. Then, we were handed tickets on the bus. I'm not complaining that tickets were included but I only bought non refundable tickets to KSC because I thought I had to.
  12. Does it specify whats included in terms of...is it JUST transportation to KSC from the ship then back?
  13. Thank you. I guess ours was different because it was a port stop, not embarkation point.
  14. It's already done...we went 5.31. I just wanted to see the description because there was a misunderstanding about what was included
  15. A favor please? We booked a tour through RCCL and i could swear it was "transportation only". $84 pp. If you have access to this tour now, would you mind screenshot-ing the description for me? Or steer me towards where I can look at descriptions of tours?
  16. I don't know if El Loco was open upon embarkation. Fwiw I thought it was ok but not AMAZING. Agree the Aqua80 show is must see. Do not miss a stroll through Central Park.
  17. Yeah there's never a time that cruise lines intentionally cruise so people are more likely to spend money on the ship.
  18. We never waited on a line for anything (unless we were first, like for ice skating sign ups). There were lines, but we planned around them with a set seating, and a few off time visits to Windjammer. We always found a table, though sometimes it was at the total aft position.
  19. Hmmm....i don't believe that is how it was phrased to me by the crew, but I'm also not sure if my survey answer implied otherwise. I'll have to be more careful next time. They mentioned the survey, and 10 is a perfect score, but did they ask for a 10? I don't think so. Would I put money on it either way? No.
  20. I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
