  1. I suppose it's all in the eye of the beholder. Our flight was late arriving and I can't tell you how fortunate I felt when I saw the Princess sign and the rep. tell us they were waiting for us. Those on the bus may not have viewed us as the most beloved fellow passengers but we thanked them for their patience and our good fortune.

In another instance, we had been notified that our flight arrival was 15 minutes too late for the transfer and therefore we had to make our own and expensive arrangements. What a quandary to find the bus still waiting at the airport for other late passengers, a transfer which we could have used.

I guess it's the toss of the coin.

  2. While it is no joking matter I have left the line-up to the MDR to enter the men's room to wash my hands. When I come out I take on the pose of a medical doctor, arms outstretched and bent up at the elbow as in waiting for surgical gloves to be applied. You would be surprised how often others have then left the line and entered the washroom. We all need to be reminded and here was a way to do so without saying a word.

  3. Nonsense? You are very lucky that you did not get it. We have had it before and you never want it again. You better hope that you never get it. If you do, you won't think what any Cruise Line does to prevent it from spreading is NONSENSE!

Don't want to hijack the subject but have to ask if anyone who has been hit by the virus in the past ever had it happen to them the second time? On our last cruise I got the distinct impression from an odour in the cabin that it had been the scene of emesis. I later experienced the preliminary signs of the virus but then it quickly passed. Having been a victim of the virus before I wonder if there is an immunity build up that protected me. It would be interesting to hear of anyone getting it more than the once.

  4. We were please to not only see the remaining time available to us but a record of each of our daily WiFi usages shown on screen as we signed off. But we have to mention the improved connections and speed. If the Golden in our fall cruise was rated a one out of ten, and believe us it was, then the Star was an 8 out of ten. Not sure why but we sure appreciate the comparatively vastly improved service.

  5. The OP’s question prompted this. The ultimate cruise evil of reserving pool lounge chairs can be eliminated simply by renting them out. Give each chair a number and have a booth where you purchase a daily pass. After you return from your second helping at the Horizon and find someone occupying your chair, simply produce your numbered tag to prove the chair is yours for the day.

  6. When consulting with friends and fellow passengers, they were sorry to not have read your post, for their experience, while legal by definition of your circumstances, was clandestine. We're sure they are not alone in this. Your information will help and guide many to created a more comfortable and meaningful commitment of one's ashes at sea.

  7. What was to be considered an Elite cocktail lounge/area perk with it's nightly $5.00 special cocktail and speciality hors d'oeuvres quickly became the Elite/Platinum cocktail lounge perk. Then when that didn't result in enough patronage it became come one come all.

Let us not kid ourselves. This feature was designed to sell drinks while offering special cocktail treats. Nothing wrong with that as if we want to find a bar corner in which to have our nightly cocktails, it may as well be where the sumptuous hors d'oeuvres are served and sumptuous they are.

  8. At the risk of again being deleted from a posting, we deeply feel that the partiality of a CC member who is a shareholder of any cruise line to who's board they post a comment may be held in question for they are bound to be influenced by the fact that they have financial self interests in the position they take. We do not say this is wrong. We just say that this fact should be acknowledged.
