Although the Grand Princess is the oldest ship of the fleet, she is in great condition. We have just completed a 14 day New Zealand cruise and have another 21 days to look forward to. There is absolutely no odors present, the promenade deck goes around the entire deck, and no warped planking evident. The Grand had a major refurbishment during Covid with extensive updating. The crew was excellent. Don’t hesitate to sail on the Grand Princess!

We were recently on the Caribbean Princess for the Canada New England cruise. There was no Bingo. There was a new game Deal or No Deal, you bought cards for this in the Casino. The game was held in Princess theater. We did not go and have no idea how it works

Sailing through the orchard my new favorite! Vodka, spiced pear liqueur, elderflower liqueur, triple sec, lemon juice, simple syrup, aromatic bitters, delicious!

Regarding wait list, we’ve had good luck clearing the list. If waitlisted prior to final payment likely to happen shortly after final payment due. Good luck, that’s a popular excursion!

In our case we’ve done over 25 cruises and have always received refundable OBC. Wise to thoroughly understand contract with travel agency before booking. I stand corrected, that OBC always refundable. Buyer beware!

Look again. FCD OBC is non-refundable. TA OBC is probably non-refundable.
Travel Agent OBC is definitely refundable

Last November 4 of us took a cab to Long Beach for $60.00. The taxis were readily available both from and back to airport from port.

We will have $1500 on our Canada cruisetour the end of the month. Only $200 is non refundable, the rest is TA & Military, FCD. Definitely pays to book with Travel Agent.

We did the Italy cruisetour a number of years ago. You will have the same tour escort and bus driver the entire time. In each city you will have different guides for tours, The hotels are all excellent, as are the meals. As far as walking the tour of the Vatican has the most walking. They do skip the line saving time. We have done 5 cruise tours with Princess and everyone has been excellent!

We called Princess and was able to make an appointment to have it done at the terminal. There was a charge, but test was quick and convenient. This was at Ft Lauderdale.

Club class is very strict, only allowing passengers in Suites or Club Class mini suites in. They have a list at the door of eligible diners. It is a perk that diners have paid extra for.

Take a taxi, the Princess transfer charge is person, while taxi fare is per ride.

We are also looking at this cruise tour. I am wondering if it is possible to add two additional days to the land portion in the hotel used by Princess. I can't find the answer and gave up waiting on hold with Princess.
No reason why not, you can book it yourself will be cheaper than using Princess. Alternatively you can always book a different hotel and taxi to tour hotel at tour start.

We are also considering this cruise tour. My major concern is the limited flight
options from Detroit. The shortest flight available on EZ air is 16 hours. We are considering the TA cruise tour eliminating return flight home

I am unable to access the Hal site using my IPad. I have tried using Chrome and Safari browsers. We have b2b cruises in Feb, it’s been disappointing having
so much trouble. Can access via computer..

No experience on HAL, but availabie on Princess for my husband. I did call Princess medical department prior to sailing to insure the test could be done on board.

The night before, upgraded from mini suite guarantee to aft Suite!

Not only Club Class also Sabatinis for breakfast

We have done this land tour and cruise and were very happly with it. The hotels are all top rated and centrally located. Excursions well planned with quick entry and top notch guides. It was our 1st trip to Europe and having everything arranged for us was great. We’ve since done Switzerland, Spain, Rocky Mountain, cruise tours and enjoyed them all!
These trips can certainly be done on your own, or with indendent tour companies. We are in our 70’s now and like having Princess handle the logistics.

HAL said recently they were now going to try to delay final payment when future plans weren’t certain. Seems like a positive consumer friendly move. I am uncertain where I read that.
Better consumer move would have been to delay final payment before due and penalty date

On Princess if you’re in a Suite, breakfast at Sabatinis is a perk. A table of 4 included
a man dressed in a bathrobe and slippers. I know I shouldn’t care what others wear,
but really?

We did the Spain cruisetour last year and thoroughly enjoyed it! You have a guide and buss driver that accompanies you on the tour. There are daily excursions Included, and optional excursions available at extra costs on occasion. The escort handles all the logistics, you just enjoy the trip. We’ve done Italy, Switzerland, 2 different Alaska cruisetours and were extremely happy with all of them. Hotels are always top rated in excellent locations. They deal with luggage handling, you’re responsible to putting outside your room and will see it in your next hotel room. We are also in our 70s and appreciate the excellent service given. Although the trip is pricey, you’ll have a wonderful trip!
