The 2025 World Cruise will almost certainly have many itinerary changes due to the continued unrest in the Middle East.  It looks like the plan is to stick with the initial schedule through Carnival in Rio.  After that…Crystal has presented four options to those booked on the 2025 WC. All options are heavy in Europe, with two options emphasizing Northern Europe and two options emphasizing the Mediterranean. Deadline on return of the surveys is May 5.  It looks like results will not be published.

In my opinion all four options are better than the original itinerary. In any case, I give Crystal credit for asking for feedback…something that was not done for those of us on the 2024 World Cruise.

Which ship?  We are booked for a segment on the Serenity.  Mobassa Kenya to Mumbai India.

  2. Is there any way we can see what excursions will be offered at each port before we are able to book them?  We're doing a segment of a world cruise in 2025 but I want to start exploring all the options.

  3. I am the original poster and looking through the website photos, I definitely see advantages to the Classic floorplan.  One thing I didn't notice before was the small slider vs full sliders in the Classic.  I also prefer the TV to be opposite the bed.  So thank you all.  We have a perfect cabin!!

  4. I have been amused by how my question about dressing for dinner and sport coats morphed into a discussion of wearing baseball caps (loss of hair due to chemo not included).  Any more REAL comments on what "normal people" wear in the dining rooms!!   😂

BYOB! And pay a $25 corkage fee to drink the wine at any restaurant, or consume it free in your stateroom. Then, there are 2 opportunities to purchase “2 for 1” drinks during happy hour. My double vodka cranberry costs about $13 during HH.
This is why I love O, we’ll have to see what happens going forward……

PS, the included wines on offer within the package are not the “premium” wines their marketing folks rave about. JMO.

Can you tell me what wine by the glass costs?  And there's a 20% service charge?

  6. Another Skagway question.  I'm rethinking our excursion in Skagway.  What is the best tour to travel the Klondike Highway for the scenery but to spend enough time at a dog sled camp for the grandchildren to cuddle with the dogs as well as take the 15 minute ride?  I've looked a Viator and other shore excursion tours, but I want to have the best possible experience with the dogs while going as far as we can on the Highway.

We took this excursion a few years ago:

They take you a few miles out of town to the trailhead.  The guide talked about the gold rush as well as the flora and fauna along the way.  We hiked for a mile or so then got in rafts and floated back down the river.  It was a lot of fun.

The hike itself was pretty.  If you can figure out how to get to the trailhead, that might be an option.

I was hoping for something we could do for free because we have 11 of us taking an excursion in the morning.  Big $$$

  8. We are a family group of 11, including 5 adventurous grandchildren ages 12-13.  We're doing a half day excursion up the highway and to visit the dogs, but what can we do for the extra 6 hours.  We're docked until 8 PM. Are there any outdoor activities/hiking trails accessible by foot from town.

Dining reservations can be made online 120 days prior to departure (130 days for Haven, 125 for Club Balcony and top tier latitudes). You need to make those reservations exactly 120 days prior to departure (12 midnight eastern time) for best selections. They will sell out quickly.

Show reservations can be made 21 days prior to departure (26 days for Haven and top tier latitudes)

Haven't been on NCL in many years but booked on Jade in May.  Reservations for shows?  Can you explain that?

  10. I'm on the Norwegian Jade in May.  In Santorini from 1 to 9. I booked a short ship tour to the volcano in order to get off the ship first (It starts at 1:15 I think).  At the end of that, the cable car should be quiet and we'll take a public bus from Fira to Oia.  Fingers crossed it all works!!

Some info for you on this thread.

You should be ok with an 11:30 flight. I live in the area, so usually take my time getting off ship, but if no issues, they usually start disembarking 0630-0700. When are you cruising? I will be on the Ovation in May, and I could pay more attention, and come back with info.

If you have a private tour, you can get off the ship whenever you want.

We're not going until July-August but we are a family of 11 all flying out in different directions the day we disembark.  It would be great to get the real scoop.  Thanks for the Lyft/Uber info!
