How deep is the water that you snorkel in at GSC. My daughter wants to snorkel but not a fan of deep water. Can you stand in the water? Do you need to book the excursion before hand or just go up and snorkel.

What is the snorkeling like there? How deep is the water? Do you need fin if we brought out own gear? I see we have to rent a vest. How would we do that if we didn't book the ships excursion?
