  1. We did a private tour to the Giant's Causeway and enjoyed it.
  2. We have done the bus tour from Le Havre with Celebrity. We were very happy with it since it was our first time to Paris. The bus was a large bus similar to Greyhound, the seats were comfortable and did recline but probably not as much as a airplane seat. We were given free time, a seine river cruise, Eiffel Tower and more. We loved Paris so much we are going back in June. Have a wonderful cruise!
  3. We took a great tour https://wildwicklow.ie/ to the Wicklow Mountains, beautiful scenery! It was a day long tour but saw lots along the way to the mountains. Well worth it if you have the time.
  4. We took a private tour w/Muenster Bus to the Ring of Kerry. They have good reviews on Tripadviser.
  5. Thank you for a FANTASTIC review!! I do all the research for our trips with our next one being Paris, & London before & after our cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. I appreciate all your hard work in compiling this review as it has made my research that much easier. Glad you had a safe trip home and enjoyed your trip. Thanks again!!
  6. Your review is awesome! It's making my research for our trip a lot easier. Thanks for taking time to post, I know it's talking a lot of your time .
  7. deladane Were you able to purchase your metro tickets at the station with a regular credit card or a contactless card? I've never heard of a contactless credit card. Could you explain what it is? Thanks.
  8. deladane This is a great review! Thanks for taking the time to post it. I have a question; At CDG airport did you happen to notice if there were "mini van" taxis? We will be a party of 4 adults w/luggage.
  9. Here's another option; We took a great walking tour with Annette Henry, she gives a very unique tour. We loved it, it was one of our best tours ever. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g551622-d3224717-Reviews-Annette_Henry_Tours-St_Peter_Port_Guernsey_Channel_Islands.html
  10. I've been following several threads re Paris & London. I have a question for those that have been there and done that. What areas of Paris & London for hotels, would be central to major attractions?
  11. We had one of our best private tours with SPB in Russia for 2 days. They will specialize your tour according to your interest. Our guide was very informative and made the tour fun. Highly recommend them. Have a great cruise.
  12. To those that have done the Norwegian Fjords; Is May or June the better month to cruise re weather (temperature, rain or sunny)? I realize the weather isn't easily predicted, just curious as to your experiences during those months.
  13. We had several short performances throughout dinner which included a contortionist, an instrumental, a lyric dancer and at the end a long lyric dancer. We did talk to one of the Edenist.
  14. While in Tallin, you may want to check out the Midieval restaurant, Olde Hansa. Awesome ambiance, no electricity, really different. We did Tallin on our own, very easy.
  15. I traveled with a group of 14. We went to the Eden & Le Petit Chef dinners. All of us loved Le Petit Chef. We were seated at tables of 2 & 4's. We all thought the food was very good and enjoyed it the most. We felt the Eden performance at the end was a bit long, otherwise enjoyed it. Yes, these specialty restaurants are not typical of the traditional ones, but we enjoyed experiencing something different. If your main concern is the menu then you should definitely check it out beforehand.
  16. Our group of 14 booked 5 nights in the 4 MDR restaurants prior to our cruise through our travel agent. 2 nights in Normandie, 1 in Tuscan, 1 in Cyprus, & 1 in Cosmopolitan. We also dined in the Eden & Le Petit Chef. Our favorite specialty was Le Petit Chef and our favorite MDR was Normandie. Great service & food in all the venues. Loved the ship!
  17. We did this excursion on RCCL. It was well worth the time & cost. We did not see any snakes but did see bats which didn't bother anybody. It is a hike to the window/cave. Wear sneakers for a safer hike. Have a great cruise!
  18. We have smelled sewage at least twice on Princess.
  19. This may help answer some questions. Celebrity's Ship Revolution dates. webapps.celebritycruises.com/revolution/schedule
  20. Do you recall if the Martini Bar light show occurred at the same time every night? If so what time?
  21. We have experienced the sewage smell in the past on a couple of cruises. Both were on Princess, so yes it happens no matter which cruise line.
  22. Does anybody know if the 3 drinks that are uploaded to your sea pass card to replace the Captain's Club cocktail reception can be used in the Martini Bar.
  23. Vtcruising, Is the Grand Plaza Café what used to be Café La Bacio where you can get double latte coffee?
  24. Our group of 16 reserved our Eden & LPC specialty dining through our TA as well as our complimentary dining in each of the dining rooms. We were afraid to wait till on board thinking a lot of people may want to experience these different dining experiences
  25. I agree the more info we get the better off we are. I have to say we have found the best way to book our cruises is while on board. On our Oct 2017 cruise we booked the Edge and always have it transferred to our TA. The biggest benefit are the perks while on board which stay in place even if we changed cabin locations later on. Example, classic bev. pkg for 2 & $450 OBC per cabin. Of course the price given by the future cruise dept. is higher than when our TA gives us her price but we do keep our perks. Our current price from our TA for an Infinite Balcony plus perks is $3991 for 2 paxs.
