Just want everyone to know that the Vatican will be closed on June 29, 2019 for Feast of St Peter and St Paul.

Jade and Star are not sister ships. There are differences.

 

Jade has 2 pools, Star has one.

Jade has Great Outdoors aft, Star lacks one.

Jade has Spinnaker lounge on deck 13 forward with lovely views, Star has it on deck 7 aft with no or little views.

 

Star has a very few pros over Jade, but overall we prefer to go on the Jade over the Star.

 

Jade and Pearl ARE sisters.

 

Jade (Civitavecchia), Star (Venice) and Epic (Barcelona) are doing Med summer 2019, and Pearl (Amsterdam), Spirit (Southampton) and Getaway (Copenhagen) will do North Europe summer 2019. Pearl will pop down to the Med for a bit sometime during the summer.

 

Wait for the itineraries to come out.

I am on the Jade next June/July. Do you think they will change out this ship for the Pearl? I saw an article today about the Pearl and I wondered what may happen. If they do change it out will that happen soon?

When your card is swiped, your picture shows on the screen.

So the person with the package attached can get one drink and then get another a few minutes later? So 2 people could basically share a card.

Not that I would but there is nothing to stop it right?

I will be on the Jade next summer. Guests one and two get the free unlimited open bar. How does NCL know who is guest one and two for the free drinks? Couldn’t the third and fourth just get free drinks from the other free ones.

Everyone has been so helpful on this board. I have not cruised NCL yet and will next summer for 11 days in Italy and Greece.

My 19 year old son will be with us, I thought I read that NCL has a 18-20 year old club?

I’m new to NCL and will be on the Jade next summer.

I booked a balcony cabin but we have 4 adults so maybe looking for more room.

How does the upgrade program work? I know I can bid for up to 2 levels up but what I don’t understand is how and when do you do it? Also how do you know what price will be accepted? What’s fair?

I have only sailed once on NCL but booked for an 11 day next summer on the Jade.

I’m curious as to what an upgrade bid is?

I booked a regular balcony cabin.

Also is there a way to determine if price goes down I can get mine lowered before I make final payment?

I just booked the Jade for a Mediterranean cruise next summer I’m in cabin 5030 which is under the casino. I actually think we are under the walkway next to the casino.

Has anyone stayed under the casino and could smell smoke? I had read on a thread that you could.

We stayed in 9199 last November and absolutely loved this cabin so much we booked cabin 9201 grand scenic ocean view for our May cruise.

 

I have pictures on my phone but don't know how to post them.I will try to figure out how to tomorrow.

This may be a weird question but I really want to cruise on a ship that has a scenic ocean view available. Preferably 9200 or 9201. Don't really care where the ship goes. Anyone know how I can look online in this manner?

I was on the Vista in August and YTD was in Horizon dining but I heard they were going to flip that in the Caribbean and the Reflection would be the YTD room and Horizon would be for set dining times. Has anyone that has recently been on the Vista in the Caribbean confirm or set me straight? Going on the Vista again in March and just want to confirm.

We did an excursion to Santo Domingo once and had a great time. I don't think the ride was 3 hours each way. It was long but not that long.

 

My husband loves history and there is plenty of that in Santo Domingo. We went into an old church, museums, shops, and had a great lunch. It was a full day and definitely worth it, especially if beaches are not your thing.

This is great news!! Just got off the Vista on August 18th and at 4:59 the teenagers lined up to take over the hot tubs!! There was so many of them in the hot tubs you couldn't even see water!:eek: It was not pleasant at all to sit on balconies and see the sights and visit.

Now the Havana guests can enjoy the peace and quiet longer for which we paid for :)

We have added Revello to our tour in Naples with Rome in Limo! I wasn't sure about it but after seeing your pictures I'm so excited. I am a little nervous about the drive down now :eek::eek:

Also we are seeing the Cinque Terra so I'm anxious to see your review. We have decided to do a Carnival excursion for that one since it's so faraway.
