  1. We just booked for Oct. 2018

Web site doesn't even have public areas on deckplan yet.

I am sure shows and other announcements will be forthcoming.

I research Breakaway to get most of my info.

    Blessings,

    Sam

    Hi Sam!

I'm booked for Halloween, 2018. Can't wait! I'm hoping they have the racetrack like the one on the Joy

  2. And the CN deposit will not post to your shipboard account until the future cruise rep gets around to processing it. It may not be that day, if they have a backlog from the previous sailing to work through.

Since you mentioned shopping, I think maybe you are hoping to get the OBC for purchasing the deposit and use it for shopping on board? But in fact everything will be charged and credited to the same account throughout the cruise and you don't settle the bill until the end, so it really doesn't matter if you get the OBC sooner or later. So there's no rush to necessarily buy the deposit on the first day, if you have other stuff to do. (Unless you actually want to book another cruise urgently.)

Thanks for the info. I am hoping to get the cost of the certificate off my budget so I can shop without having to worry if I have enough pesos :p

  3. When you order the extra $9.99 whole lobster, that is you entree, if you also want a steak you would pay $10 for a second entree. Years ago, you could add a lobster tail to you meal for $10. That is long gone.

The large steak or whole lobster is a extra charge entree in place of the included steaks.

maybe I should hide a lobster in my suitcase and drop it in the hot tub before dinner

  4. Thanks so much:)

I think it was level 4 to board the tender, we had to walk through the employee area to get to it:)

Thank you so much for answering my question. I will be on deck 4. Finally a perk for travelling steerage!

If you wouldn't mind another question, were there any must see/ do on the ship?

  5. There will be one dining room open and the buffet.

Osheehans is opened as well. That was my choice. Got the cruise off to a awesome start. I think the noodle bar and sushi bar are opened as well but they are not complimentary. Have a great cruise!

  6. The dining rooms aboard have tables for 4, 6, and 8. Unless you are sailing Concierge, you will most likely be seated with others if you are a party of 2. You could be assigned to a 4 top alone, or to a 6 or 8 top with others. Concierge groups are typically seated by themselves, unless they request otherwise.

If it's important to you to be seated alone, you should have the request placed on your reservation. Many times such requests are honored, sometimes they cannot be. You would be seated at a 4 top by yourselves.

I will point out that DCL is very good at matching dinner companions (at least in our experience), and it's a great way to meet people from all over. They typically will place couples with couples (sometimes with singles in the same age range), as well as families with kids with each other (generally based on the ages of the kids.

Thanks for your reply! How are folks seated in the buffet at dinner, is it open seating?
