Boarding on a different line a passenger was declaring loudly that under no circumstance would he give up his Passport.
He was escorted out of the hall and never seen again.
Moral: The Golden Rule: They set the rules.

The Air Ambulance from
Tenerife to home cost $ 95,000. Make sure you have ample coverage. This is not the time to go on the cheap.

Further to my comments above about Seven Corners/TinLeg/SquareMouth at long last we received checks for the bulk of our loss. The "Concierge" at SevenCorners helped, having been prodded by SquareMouth's satisfaction guarantee.
Would I use them again. If only for the repatriation which was wonderful, probably not.

Try to convince the driver to let you off at/near the "Gold Tower" The HOHO bus is across the street and the Cathedral around the corner-a bit of a walk.
We went to Sunday Mass at the Cathedral and took the HOHO bus. That was it for the day.

Not a happy camper. My wife left the ship in an ambulance and was taken to a local Hospital in Europe. I contacted TinLeg and they arranged an ambulance flight at a cost of $ 95,000. So far so good.
On returning home, I submitted the paperwork for the cruise fare and the Hospital bill (paid at their urging, with the promise of immediate reimbursement). This was in November,2015. To date March,2016, no recognition, just "We never received the documents", all of which have been sent numerous times. From another website this seems to be the norm for
TinLeg. The SquareMouth "Zero Tolerance" promise seems to be a sham.
My advice: Go elsewhere.

By all means Viña del Mar is a marvelous place to stay. Beautiful gingerbread on the houses which were the summer "cottages" of the high officials and diplomats pre AC.
There is now a subway to and from Valpo.

Terceira (Praia de Victoria) is in the Azores, Portugal not Islas Canarias, Spain

From an amateur radio website:
I will be operating as K6UN/VP9 maritime mobile onboard the Grand Princess, November 8-15th, 2015. This sailing is a California Costal Cruise, leaving round trip fro"m San Francisco and visiting Santa Barbara, Los Angenes, San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico. I plan to operate while in International waters on 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters. Hope to see you on the air!"

Stay an extra day in BA and take a tour to Iguazu Falls. After the Drake Passage your eyeballs will be tired but so worth it.

On another line, the Lido was infested with several tables of inveterate card players. Protests to senior people was ineffective. I took my tray and, with several others in tow headed to the Card Room and sat down to eat. When protest brought a ship's officer, I explained that the Lido tables were occupied by people who would not move.
The card players never showed again.

When last seen it was permanently mounted, port side aft, at the turn of the route from the bathrooms, etc. I suppose the mounting could have been changed.

Do you mean Crows Nest?
Yes

There is a very large screen TV in the top lounge, port side. You may have to arm wrestle some elderly lady watching Dr Phil but it is there.

Thank you for your kind reply. We are doing the 51 day Mediterranean tour and need space for wheelchair and rollator. I remember a little table next to the couch which (hopefully) can be removed for storage of those items. The shower is a plus.

As long as there is advice being given out, how about Maasdam stateroom (L) 400?
It looks a tad larger and right near the handy door to the outside. Anyone know if it has a shower or tub?
Any comments will be appreciated as we are looking at several weeks on board.
Thanks to all

On Maasdam last year, the ship ran a tour. We only did the bus portion, went to Church (it was a Sunday) at the magnificent cathedral and then took the HOHO bus. The bus stopped somewhere for twenty minutes, so we went into a cafe for "chocolat y churros".
By all means go to Seville

Rooms very small. Food and service superb. The food is REAL Italian, not the AmericoItalian you get on Tuesday night at Marios down the street. Cruise staff large, involved and very fun.
go and enjoy.

Sunday night at 6pm finds me in the Lido. The petty officer in charge of the crews mess brings me up a plate of Nasi goreng, Bami goreng and one stick of Satay Beef accompanied by a little condiment container of fresh Sombal.
Sometimes a piece of fried chicken for good luck.
If there is an epicurean heaven this is what they serve.

We have cabin 400 on Maasdam for the Atlantic Adventure. Do you remember if it has the little lamp table next to the sofa? We would remove that and use the space for wheelchair storage. I also believe you said there is a shower rather than a tub. To save cluttering up the site here you can reply to e-mail "c6a3b att hotmail dott com"
Many thanks

The guayabera is not only acceptable, it is the standard dressup in Central and South American countries. In the Phillipines, the Barong Tagalog shirt is the male formal dress. Live it up and wear your tighty whitey.

Cozy but comfortable.

[i did two weeks on Norwegian EPIC. Very unhappy. No lounge to see the ocean or ports. Ship is one giant floating casino. No signs pointing forward or aft. I tried one of the "Studio cabins" which was fun.. Would not do megaship again....
