  1. The fact that it's THERE doesn't mean that it's VISIBLE in dim lighting. If the top edge of the step visually blends with the floor below the step in dim lighting, it could be easy to miss - especially if you're wearing fancier shoes than you're used to, and if the ship is moving.
  2. Is there ice readily available at/near the coffee/tea stations, or in the buffet area? I've gleaned that iced tea is not widely on offer, or at least isn't very good. I'm perfectly happy to brew tea and pour it over a bunch of ice, but that is certainly made easier with access to ice. Same question about lemons - readily available, or should I get a bottle of lemon juice from a store either in London before the cruise or at a shop in any random port? I'm a self-admitted lemon freak.
  3. I'm happy to hear that it's an easy-to-navigate airport. After the ship overnights in Bergen, Viking scheduled us on a 6am flight out of Bergen. Now I'll need to decide whether to try to get an hour or two of sleep that night, or just stay up. I'm a total night owl - and our hike in Bergen starts at 5:30pm. Probably getting back to the ship at 10pm or later - then we'll have to eat and pack. I'll have to be sure to pack my patience in my carry-on and not in my checked baggage.
  4. I may purchase a small bottle at an onshore shop and bring it onboard. Same for lemon juice (I tend to like lemon rather than milk/cream in my tea).
  5. Awesome. Thank you! Do you happen to know if it's a Keurig or Nespresso? Or some other brand with which North Americans are unfamiliar? Trying to figure out if bringing a few of my hot apple cider pods would be worth it.
  6. These are really general DV questions and not limited to the Star, but I don't think the questions are important enough to warrant a whole thread of their own. 1. I know there's a coffee/tea machine of some sort in DVs. Is it a pod-based system? If so, what kind? Or is it a more traditional setup with a little coffee filter? 2. Is there a clock in the room, or can I bring a plug-in digital clock? Is there even an outlet for that type of thing on the desk?
