I'm sorry I did not get this exact info while onboard. . . I did not use them myself but as best I can remember, I think there were four of them with at least one on deck 5 port side (even rooms) that I feel like I walked past about 100 times. I think it was decks 4 and 5 and then all I can say is two more somewhere up on the higher stateroom decks.  I will say it was not very hard to find them if  you were looking and I believe it was on the Q and A's in the Hub App.  It would have been easy enough to take a screen shot from the app but I just didn't think of it at the time.

We mostly packed soft clothes that didn't need ironing and I did bring wrinkle releaser for the couple of items that did and it worked well enough.

Thank you. Not sure if it will be needed. I will find them if I need to.

  2. Update: I was finally able to change flights with Delta, now 3:00 departure. Also had to cancel GD, her BF and GGD, as they decided not to go after all. Now all I have to do is change our pickup time from the port, as I don't really want to spend 5 hours at MCO!, And set up our Pretesting for the Wednesday before we leave.

It is highly unlikely you could make that flight. If everything was perfect, maybe. However, we are in very imperfect times and nothing is certain. CCT could get you there by 10AM with a 9AM pickup. You have to get your bags checked, checked for flight, through TSA, on the tram, to the terminal, and then to your gate before they stop allowing passengers. I just don't see it happening.

My thoughts exactly! Delta has changed our inbound flights once and our outbound twice now. Have contacted them twice via twitter, both times responded with an "i'm sorry for your situation", but still waiting for an answer! Being that I am somewhat obsessed with planning, this is frustrating! But due to possible cancellation of our GD and 2 others, I am being patient!

By the way, we have a similar situation on our Sunrise cruise in September.  Our cruise is out of Miami and we are flying from FLL.  Our flight was changed to 11:10.  We have also done that from Miami to FLL before with plenty of time to spare.  But, that was also pre-covid and debarkation was on a Saturday, not Thursday like this time. Hopefully, we will make that Southwest flight, but I did book a refundable flight on another airline for a couple of hours later to have as a backup.  Just not sure how things will be right now.  Good thing is that both flights are refundable, so it was just more money upfront with one of them to be refunded.

I have contacted Delta twice this week via twitter, still waiting for an answer. Worst case, we will book a hotel for the 9th and change our return flights t0 the 10th.

I fly in and out of MCO several times a year for almost a decade now as my daughter lives in Orlando (and I’m a Disnut!!).  I’ve always had decent luck with TSA. Longest wait maybe 20 minutes.  BUT is the 10 month old a lap baby?  The only bad experience I had at MCO occurred when we flew with my 5 month old granddaughter.  At least then, on Jet Blue, you could not check in on line, had to wait at the counter for her birth certificate to be checked (cuz she COULD have been over 2 in disguise!) and a boarding pass to be issued.  Then TSA had to check it all again.  Was quite the long drawn out process.

Yes she is a lap baby. This may all be for nothing, as now my GD is contemplating canceling! DW and I both told her that it is entirely up to her and her boyfriend. She has already been in contact with Carnival, who stated she could get a full refund, but as the cruise was booked with our TA, it has to go through her. SHe now has until Monday at the earliest to decide.

We have a 12:20pm booked out of MCO...private transfer pick up at 8:00am from PC. Hoping concierge will aid us for an early departure from ship. Best flight option for us to get back to the west coast....fingers crossed.

I am still waiting for Delta to contact me back via twitter. Worst case is get a hotel near MCO for Sat. night and re-book flights for Sunday.Ugh!!!!!!!!

Make a new account and send a message to @Delta

They have an entire team, just like the phones, to handle issues and because it's online, they can handle multiple customers at once.

and because it's on Twitter, everyone sees the question or complaint.

I had a late inbound once in Boise with a tight connection in SLC, I Tweeted @Delta asking if I will make it, and they tweeted back yes, and that my inbound was on approach and would watch for me in route to SLC

Never call when on the road, hit them all up on Twitter....All the airlines do this now.

Many companies will give you more and faster response on Twitter than phone

Thanks for the reply. I will try that after the Dr. appt. I am leaving for.

Where are you flying that is causing this?

    Seems unusual for Delta

BTW, do not mess with calling Delta, hit them up on Twitter @Delta and air your problem. Then they'll @back to go to DM's

They are way more responsive on twitter (it is public until you go to DM's)

    Good luck

Flying to Syracuse, NY. As for Twitter, I have an account that I have never used. Heck, I have had it long enough that I can't find my password! I guess I could log in and state that I want to change password. Thank you for your reply and guidance.

Maybe, but I definitely wouldn't try it. Far too risky.

It's an hour drive. MCO is a pretty large airport you aren't familiar with. You don't know what the disembarking situation is in the Covid world.

What airline are you flying? The major airlines...AA, Delta, UA...are firming up schedules every day. Southwest is slowly coming along. The smaller airlines like Spirit, are struggling.

Delta. That is exactly what I have been thinking. They have switched our outbound flights at least twice. The last time it got switched, I was on hold with them for 2+ hours! As if it weren't enough, this is a party of 4 adults and a 10 month old, and I am the one in charge of this! Thank you for the reply.

  10. Sailing Mardi Gras 10/2/21-10/9/21. Our returning flights were changed AGAIN by the airline. Now has us flying out of MCO at 11:05 AM. We have reserved Cruise Control Transportation for 9:00 pick up at the port, which I hope can be moved to an earlier time. I am just super nervous that if one little glitch happens, we miss our flight home! And yes, we did purchase insurance when the cruise  was booked a year and a half ago. One thing I don't want to do is book a hotel for that night and have the airline change our departure a day later. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

  11. We are on her 10/2, can't wait!!! BTW, all the pix are awesome! The only thing we're waiting on is the exemption for GGD. I hope it gets approved as there are are 10 of us going and it would really suck if they had to cancel, as this has been booked since 10/19!

You should be fine,  especially since you have a private shuttle picking you up.  Are they picking you up at 900?

Yes, 9:00 pick up at the port. Also 10:00 pick up day of cruise, from hotel to port. Thank you for the reassurance!

  13. We are booked on the Oct. 2 sailing, flying in the day before, with 1 night stay at the Staybridge Suites, pick up by Cruise Control (Private Shuttle), both from the hotel and from the port. My big concern now, with reading about flight delays and cancellations, is our return flight on Delta. Our flight is scheduled to depart MCO @ 11:55 AM. Will we have enough time to make this?

  14. My cruise mates and I have talked numerous times about excursions, protocols, rules, etc. Although we are not among the thousands or more of fellow cruisers that have had numerous cruises cancelled, we have decided as a group that we just want to cruise. All but my great granddaughter have been vaccinated. If we only get to do the one excursion we have already booked, so be it, we will be on a beautiful ship, enjoying each and every day!

  15. For our October Mardi Gras cruise, we did book one excursion (Discover Roatan-Monkeys, sloths and macaws), as we really wanted to do this. As for Cozumel and Costa Maya, we will wait and see what happens. If non-Carnival excursions are allowed, good chance we will book Nachi Cocum, as we had a blast there the last time we visited. Never been to Costa Maya, so that one is up in the air.

  16. I have talked with the others in our group (7 people in 3 cabins), regarding our October Mardi Gras cruise. We came to the decision that whatever rules/protocols are instituted, we will follow. The ONLY concern is that my great-granddaughter,who will be 10 months old at time of sailing, will not be allowed to sail due to not being vaccinated. Even if there is a lottery for unvaccinated, how far in advance will this take place? As we will be traveling from upstate New York, this would mean cancelled flights, transportation, etc. Not that it matters at all, but we booked this cruise in October of 2019, long before the pandemic. And the other 6 in our party have been vaxxed.
