Loving the Edge so far. Eden during the day , love it. At night= guess the weirdness isn't my thing. Too out there for me. 

For some people the planning is part of the fun of the trip. Live and let live! If not planning is your thing great but why make someone feel bad because they want to plan ahead and see the compass. Just unnecessary and mean.  So she used the word Urgent and it's not to you, Big Deal. Wish people could be a little  nicer. We are here because we all like to cruise. Let's focus on that.  

We too have done inside, promenade and balcony, all were/ are good. Like the darkness of the inside. But watching the ocean fr balcony is hard to beat. But definitely up for trying a jr suite for the right price. We like to take several cruises a yr and so price wise we take what makes sense for us at the time. Anything over 5 nights needs to a balcony for us.

Nabalab- I always book direct w Royal. It seems like some people get some really nice perks from their TA’s but I am a bit of a conrol freak, if a price drop came up and I couldn’t reach TA, I would blow a gasket.[emoji23]

Although mostly guarantees left Inside guarantee is now about what we paid for a balcony. Not likely to get an upgrade anyway but nice to get the email and be on the list.

I am aware this is just a waitlist for a POSSIBLE upgrade. Do they give you the double points if it’s not a full on priced upgrade? We are 28 pts from Diamond plus right now so that would be 16 pts IF they did.

For those who were wondering what the email looks like. We paid $2,200 for an ocean-view balcony and trying to figure out how good of a deal this is. Can’t really use current pricing of $4,300 since we booked a very long time ago and I assume junior suite was much less than. We have never done a suite so would be tempting. This is Harmony 8 night sailing 11/10/18. So as to not mislead this is just to go on a waitlist for a POSSIBLE upgrade.

Yes, this was a 5 night cruise with overnight in Havana and then a stop in Cozumel. Those that are concerned about not being dressed up enough, there was a large variance of dress. Did not see a single tuxedo on men, but everything from full suits to polo and dockers. On the ladies, very few long dresses, many cocktail dresses and a large of amount of dressy pants and dressy tops. I think this was the most informal formal night we have seen. Other than sloppy t shirts and jeans I think you will be ok in just about any other type of clothing.

Was on Navigator 5 night on 1/14-19 - There WAS a Lobster Night, then boarded Majesty on 1/19/18 for another 5 night and there was NOT a lobster Night. Must vary by ship.
