We only had 450 passengers on a recent cruise, and the casino was open and running.

I'm on that sailing and am just sitting tight. It's not going to Grand Cayman, but I doubt it will cancel. The timing is perfect for me (other factors going on there), and the price was good (and just got better).

The chat folks really aren't the ones to report such issues to, as (noted above) they are reservations only and are very limited in what they can do. A phone call or email is the way to go.

Occasionally, but not every transaction. For many things, they just asked for our room number (and sometimes just looked at the card to verify). I think I swiped it myself in the gift shop.
It got to where I would forget to pull my card out at a time I normally would have it out and handy.

I expect they are swamped, indeed. They state that it can take up to 14 days to hear back.

That's what we got on Summit. They wrote it down. Once they got to know us, they even quit asking.
d - you were parked at the bar so they got to know you... LOL
Something like that. 👍

I think all the single malts were on the premium (and a few of my faves still were a couple bucks upcharge from that). Honestly, though, I didn't pay that close attention.

I'm also a big fan of the new system. We've always gotten a drink package, but we're thinking about trying a cruise without it. Being D+, the break even point has changed significantly.

I don't see any reason why the lines would not require vaccination for anyone where it's approved.

You also can use an app like CheckMyTrip. While we've never had an issue with a carrier not giving us some notice, the app sometimes gives the notice even sooner.

Depending upon how much they fill the ship, you may only have one show per night. We sailed at 25% last month, so they only did the later show each night.

We've been on three Silversea cruises and enjoyed them all. We're looking forward to our fourth towards the end of the year.
Also consider the Paul Gauguin. That can be somewhat magical. We've been twice.

Both aluminum and plastic bottles are recyclable. One is "woke" and the other practical.
The big difference between aluminum bottles and plastic bottles is that aluminum bottles can be recycled into more aluminum bottles. They can even be cleaned abs recapped/reused (although that's not really done). Plastic bottles cannot be recycled into more bottles.

I’ll also add that onboard, day or night, it was the most casually dressed cruise of any we have been on.
I'm glad you mentioned that. Alaskan cruises are very casual.

My wife pointed out that I should have noted that we are cruising the beginning of June. Does that info change anyone's recommendations?
Early June will be a little cooler and drier (but hardly dry) than other times in the Summer. It's actually a wonderful time to be up there. Excellent wildlife viewing (except for salmon, which may not be running yet).
The only time you really need cold weather gear is if you are visiting a glacier. Otherwise, you can see temperatures in the 50s, 80s, and everything in between (and maybe in the same day).
Much, if not all, the rain you'll see will be light or mist. It could last 15 minutes or all day. Layers definitely are called for. A good way to go is to have a lightweight shirt (quick dry is good) for a bottom layer and a waterproof shell for a top layer that you can zip or unzip as needed. In between is a matter is up to you. Some wear another shirt or a fleece. Others (like me) who don't get cold easily skip a middle layer or just have one handy in a backpack if needed. A baseball cap or other lightweight hat comes in very handy.
Pants are what makes you comfortable. I agree with the recommendation of quick dry, but jeans also work fine.
Waterproof shoes (check out hiking shoes) and wool socks are a great way to go.

DW and I didn't mind the tracelets at all, but we did question their efficacy.
Here's hoping for the best.

Do you find a sommelier helpful if you are not an expert but are knowledgeable about wine? I tend to switch from white to red. And when I refill i often like to try something different at least until I've tried everything. I had to remind the staff to ask me what I wanted instead of refilling. Have only been on one X cruise.
We had no trouble getting tastes of anything served by the glass anywhere we ate on Summit last month (and sometimes had a many as three in front of us). That's a good way to try the list, although I will admit that a glass of each ain't a bad way to go, either. 😃

Thank you! Everyones comments make me feel better! I will tell them hello. We love the sunset bar so I am sure we will see them.
You will love the crew. They may be the best we've ever sailed with. Even if that's because they had loads of time due to the low capacity, they still were just wonderful persons. I enjoyed every interaction I had with every crew member whether the Captain or the guys polishing the stair rails.
And I get back on board the day you get off! Counting the days over here!

The tracelet was a non-issue and not at all uncomfortable. I would forget it was there.
The biggest deal was getting used to putting it on because I wore it on the wrist of my dominant hand, but I had that down by the end of the second day. No big deal at all.

I wouldn't worry. We had 450 passengers on our 7/31 Summit sailing.
It was wonderful. Enjoy!

If you are willing to put your friend in the same position she would be in if you both cancelled because of her positive result, then do that and go. If not, cancel and go another time.
If you were to cancel, then you could ask your friend to consider any nonrefundable expenses when squaring up.

I experienced same on my 9/5 and 9/17 cruises. Originally got a 1:30 and checked back and they opened up all time slots. I was able to get a 11:30 as well as many people on our roll call.
Just for the sake of further experience, the 11:30 slot opened up for my earlier sailing yesterday. The later one still has only the 3pm.
Happy sailing!

Have just received email to submit to move up
In a CS so bid is for a RD or PS
Retreat on website is showing as sold out(and has been for some time)
Why am I getting this offer?
Don't forget to keep checking if you are interested in an upgrade. Cancellations happen all the time. Move Up isn't much of a deal unless it's a good deal less than the actual price difference of the upgrade.
On our last cruise we upgraded for about 60% of the minimum move-up bid.

The Cabana's on Edge are on the deck across from the Magic Carpet. No privacy and people walking about 5 feet from your cabana.
Wow. To hell with that. I wouldn't want that even if the Retreat deck were not an option!

Keep in mind that not everyone cashes in. You have OBC, promotional casino credit you can buy online, and just a room charge.
With the price reduction, many of us now have substantial OBC. I doubt I'll hand any cash to a dealer. I'll just play my OBC.
