  1. I saw this thread a few days ago and didn't bother clicking the link, thinking "How good could this video be? " I finally gave in and watched it today after seeing this thread had grown to 11 pages, and I must say your video is absolutely stunning. It is visually gorgeous, but it also draws you in emotionally. You are truly gifted. Wonderful work!

  2. I stayed in balcony cabin 1061 on Glory's Panorma deck and loved the location. It is very convenient. You just walk out the mid ship doors to the outside, and if I recall correctly, you are at the level where you enter the water slide. The Glory has the stadium type tiers around the pool area, so you can grab a seat there or walk down one level and you're right at the Lido pools, then the buffet, pizza, and adult pool area are farther aft. I don't think there are any extended balconies on this deck.

The location was pretty quiet because the only people going in the interior of the Panorma deck are the few that have cabins there. I did intentionally not book any of the very forward cabins because they are right below the gym, and I've read that you can hear the noises in your cabin from people working out above, dropping weights, feet pounding...

  3. We are sailing out of Baltimore on the Pride 1/31/2010 - we are first timers. We have already made reservations for one of the nights at Davids. Being first time cruisers, though, how dressy do they mean when they say the dress code is Cruise Elegant? My husband would rather not wear a jacket, so could he get away with that at Davids?

    Thanks!

As long as you didn't book David's on one of the formal (now elegant) nights, then your DH won't need a jacket. I've seen men with jackets, with only shirt and tie, and even in a nice polo shirt on the non-elegant evenings.

  4. I was in Paradise Beach last month with my 2 year old daughter and a group of family members, and we had a great time. It was not overly crowded when I was there. I chose lounge chairs right next to the restaurant because they were shaded, and there was plenty of space for my daughter to play in the sand both in front and behind the chairs. There were several other preschoold and toddler aged children there too.

I imagine if it were very crowded our experience may have been quite different, but my group really enjoyed Paradise Beach. Their food, especially the nachos and guacomle, was delicious too.

  5. One quick question!

You do not need a car seat in the buses or cabs, when you are on an excursion?

Just trying to figure if we should leave it in the car @ the parking terminal or if we do need if for excursions to the beach!

    Thank you!

If you are riding on a bus or shuttle, you will not be able to use a car seat because there are not seatbelts. None of the cruise sponsored excursions or airport transportation I've been on have had seatbelts in the buses or shuttles. If you're using a taxi for transportation, then you have the option of using a car seat--you might just have to dig around to find the seatbelts stashed under the seats. It depends on your ports as to whether or not carseats are legally required in taxis, but regardless of the law, you'll find many parents who decide (for better or worse) not to use them.
