I am ok with staying on the ship if the only way off is to book an excursion through the cruise line.
Now that being said, if those that choose to not purchase the excursions, are forced to stay on the ship, and yes it would forced, due to having to either pay to get off vs. doing your own thing, they should have IMO all port fees and such refunded as they did not step foot in the port.

We have missed St. Marteen 3 times in row. First was after hurricane hit, other 2 were due to storms creating large swells, making it dangerous to dock. Oh Well, maybe next time.

I will stick with S.O.S.

What would happen if you bought rum wine or beer on a back to back at a port or funshops . The last day of the cruise or the night you disembark you get that to take off the ship . Would you leave that in your room at the end of the first cruise and have that on the 2nd . That cerainly could be nice if they let you do that on a back to back .
We bought a couple bottles and picked them up the morning we returned, took them to our room and nothing was ever said, I even opened one up and imbibed. No recheck on bags.

They did not apologize, they did not offer to replace the bottle (obviously we weren't going to drink it now...it looked like someone took a swig out of it), she simply said they will let us know. Two or three days later we got a message telling us that they would be giving us two free drink coupons. It was a fine trade of value, it was an $11 bottle of wine, it was the principal of the matter that NO ONE ever checked the cameras, NO ONE even believed us....why would I spend my vacation standing in line, talking to multiple people, and messing around with this stupid thing if it wasn't true.
While Carnival not being sympathetic to you could lead you to believe they did not care I could see.
But to say that NO ONE ever reviewed cameras (if able) or even believed you I find doubtful. They did give you the coupons, which in a way says they found some credibility to your complaint.
The company I work for and any other would never disclose the process or goings on regarding an internal review regarding any employee to you or anyone else, what occurs to any employee being a written note to file or termination, We would apologize for the inconvenience and assure it would be taken care of, the results are not of anyone else's concern.
But on a more positive note was the ship awesome? Any Pics?

You have circled 10398, which is indeed a balcony cabin.
10396 is one of the square-shaped cabins across the hall, and is indeed an interior.

I have been bringing this fan on with us for the past 12 cruises , I just carry it on , still in the same box .

Have to clean it , as there is allot of dust throughout Carnival ships , you notice it on personal items most likely , but a fan catches it as well .

Tried to get me to upgrade to a balcony for $400.00 . I think not , 200 I would have thought about it , needless to say I deleted the offer.

Wee Jimmy , is he still with Carnival , if so what ship ?

My Vornado fan , bought specifically for cruises to have the noise .

On ships that do not have mini fridges / or only in certain rooms , like the sunshine , we bring an insulated cooler bag to put 8 to 10 cokes in at a time . Served us great on the 11 day inside cabin on Sunshine , and will again on the 8 day , seeing as the lido cabin does not have a fridge this go round .

25 days , Tried Royal last year , now back to Carnival

I called the day they changed the port , I ended up demanding they refund my money for the excursion I was now going to be unable to take . They tried to to get me to wait and book another , but ultimately I told them no . Why should they hold my money in their account drawing interest .

Fingers crossed , but it looks as though our replacement for the 24th cruise, St. Kitts , may need a replacement . Hurricane Maria looks to be tracking right over them sometime on Tuesday .

If that is what we get in October , that is what we get I guess , but I will say this , they will not be leaving with us , I am sure we will find some kids on the cruise to pawn them off on.

We have had balconies on the Lido deck , while I loved the location and its proximity to the food and pools , it was quite boring at times to look down at a deck below is instead of the ocean .
We prefer the cove balconies over regular ones now, you can look out see the ocean and nothing else, love the sound of the waves as well, only drawback is if you have rough seas they will lock them so you can't go out.

The cabins and the staff . I like the food , but the wife not so much (food that is) she likes the beds the most .

Sad , Prayers to the family , but I could not help thinking , here hold my beer and watch this .

Week after week reviews come in complaining about the same issues on the Sunshine. These seem to be the main complaints:
- Sewage smell in rooms
- Sewage smell on decks/Liquid Lounge
- Shower flooding
- Toilet issues
- Drips in hallways
There are complaints about service/food as well, but that is subjective.
All Carnival ships have at least a 4 star average, but the 61% "Loved It" rating puts the Sunshine 10 whole percentage points below the next lowest ship, the Splendor at 71%. So it has more sub-4 star reviews than any other. It is lower rated than the "Destiny" itself.
Do you think Carnival will do anything to address these issues?
Bad reviews or not , I for one do not care , I am going to be enjoying my 11 day repositioning cruise starting tomorrow ,, I just have to find the wife so we can start packing , should have never let her go over to her moms or grocery shopping alone .

I received an email yesterday stating that we can't arrive at the POM until 1pm Saturday. Boarding will start at 1 and we are scheduled still scheduled to sail at 4pm. Anyone know why this would be? Will the buffet still be open when we board?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Everyone gets that email , I still show up at 1030 or 1100 am , never have had an issue , I would dis-regard .

One of our guests backed out at the last minute. Our cruise is on Sunday (March 23rd). Do we need to call and delete the guest from our booking or just leave it?

I got the email about it, but did not pursue it, I am lucky if I drink more than 3 (alcoholic beverages)a cruise anyway. I drank enough for 10 people in the Navy, I like to think I have outgrown it.
