  1. Thanks again everyone. The goccl site was a great help. The balcony divider can be opened.  Getting two balcony rooms together on the floor I preferred was limited due to the cruise being popular (ABC Islands) I guess.  One of the rooms is next to a connecting cabin which would have been very convenient had it not already been booked by someone.  The few other cabins that were an option were not in a location I wanted. Now it's just to rush to guest services to request it be opened before theres a huge crowd but I will also ask my TA if she could make a note on the reservation.

  2. Family of four will be on Horizon with 2 balcony cabins.  Will I be able to have the balcony divider open between the two cabins? I did a search but did not find the answer. It would have been ideal to have the connecting cabin that's next to ours but it was booked already☹️

  3. OMG...I'm only on page one but I had to stop reading and comment.  This is soooo me.  I wonder if we're related😁.  I'm from VA and will be on the Horizon next year and staying one night precruise at Hampton Inn.  Early is on time. On time is 3 minutes late. I'm the planner and hubby goes with the flow.  I'm not social but that changes on cruises for some reason. Can't wait to read the rest to see what else we have in common😁

  4. Hello.  Tried to book Hampton Inn Brickell (since it's highly recommended here) about two weeks ago for 11/29/19 but there were no rooms available.  I figured it was too early so I tried again today and it said the same thing.  Is it possibly because it's the day after Thanksgiving or is there some special event going on that weekend?  Any other good hotel suggestions in that area.  We are a family of four including two teenage boys.  Prefer to be close to the metromover or close walking distance to it.  Also prefer Hilton or Marriot brand but we can be flexible.  I'm sure I will have many more questions in the near future.  Thanks in advance to all of you very knowledgable posters/repliers who keep answering the basically same questions over and over (including mine I guess).

  5. Omg, I love Dr. E! He was the cruise director on my very first cruise a few years ago and I still talk about him! We are on the Magic in Jan 2019. I hope he will still be on it then!

I was on the Magic last month. He mentioned he was going to the Pride but did not say when. Glad I got a chance to cruise with him as the CD.

  6. My family of four was on this cruise. We had a great time. DH was not feeling well on Friday (our last day) so he stayed in the room. He felt worse Saturday and Sunday. Not much better today. Now that I hear others were not feeling well at times, I'm thinking there just may have been some "bug" on the ship. I may try to post a video with snippets of our vacation at some point within the week. OP you have very nice pictures. Looking forward to the rest of your review.

  7. I purchased Early Bird for family. Is this correct: Eventhough I purchased EB I still can't check in and print boarding pass until 24 hours prior to flight. However, Southwest will have my spot already reserved at 36 hours. So I can actually check in at 12 hours prior if I want.

  8. We will be cruising Christmas week and on Sunday I filled out a request for Steakhouse and Cucina on Magic. I received confirmation within a couple hours for Cucina but nothing for Steakhouse. So I sent in another request on Tuesday but still have not heard anything. Being that it's Christmas week, did I wait too late to reserve and if they are booked would they not let me know? Or does it take several days to receive confirmation one way or the other?

. The fact is if the mother had been supervising her daughter, this terrible accident could have been avoided.

Neither am I meaning to sound cold. I feel for the parents and all involved in this tragic accident. I do understand the possibility of a parent and child separating accidently in a split second. In any crowded environment I have always tried my best to keep my children at arms length. If anything would have happened to them I would have felt at fault and probably carried that guilt with me a very long time.

  10. Family of 4 leaving Friday before Christmas. Being that flights are so expensive during that time we've chose to drive a rental to FL and fly back. Not looking forward to the 12 hour drive. One way rentals dropping off in another state is more than what I thought it would be but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm still looking at flights leaving that Friday and was wondering from anyones experience, do these sometimes go down in pricing the closer it gets to that date. So far I've seen that they have gone up about $20. I have read threads stating that their flight has went down but I don't think it was around a holiday. I'm not a frequent flyer and don't have a lot of knowledge on this.

  11. I hate driving but airfare is outrageous during Christmas so we are driving to Port Canaveral from VA 11 1/2 hrs and flying back home. It's DH and I and two teenagers. Not looking forward to the drive. Weigh your cost and do what's more economical for you.
