Can someone please tell me if the Jr Suites no longer have the little curtain between the bed and the couch/sofa bed. It looks like in the 'old' pictures there is but I went on youtube to view some of the videos and it looks like since the refurb that maybe they did away with them. I was just wondering because my daughter will be on the sofa bed and likes to stay up late watching her laptop and whatnot and thought we could just draw the curtain to get some shut eye lol or perhaps if the ceiling is 'metal' we could rig up a sheet lol

Thank you for your review! Loved it!

Hi, I apologize if this has been addressed as I am still trying to get use to the 'new setup' and I cant find my answers 😞 This will be my first western itinerary cruise and was wondering if there are things to do inside the ports of Cozumel and Puerto Costa Maya (shopping, restaurants etc) Thank you 🙂

I'll be on the Adventure next year for the 1st time. Looking forward to the rest of your review 🙂

Thank you for all the pics and taking us along with you!

Thank you everyone. I really do appreciate your feedback. And yes it will be an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle in May :-) I was strictly asking about the sealed/factory wrapped bars I'll be bringing from home. Maybe even those individual sealed snack bags of pretzels. Definitely no 'fresh' food, fruits, sandwiches etc etc Sorry if I caused any 'confusion' or 'upset' others.
-
I bring individually factory-wrapped granola bars (in their original, unopened box) on board every cruise I have ever taken since 2003. I have never had a problem; it is not fresh food. I suffer from hypoglycemia and I never go anywhere without a granola bar in my purse because I never know when a low blood sugar episode will hit. I also have a severe food allergy (I carry epi-pens) and cannot guarantee that restaurants on shore will have food that is safe for me to eat. So I can't risk being ashore for several hours without a snack. I would never take fresh food on or off the ship. OP should be fine if they follow this example.
Thank you. This is exactly what I was wondering and for the reason you mentioned. Just a factory wrapped granola bar/power bar. It would never have been what others mentioned . Thank you

We'll be sailing on the Pearl next month and I just saw a 'note' on several of the Dailies that reads that no food is allowed on OR off the ship and that includes items that are even packaged. A few of our excursions will be 3+ hours around lunch or dinner time. I was planning on taking some snack bags like Doritos or power bars with us in case we got hungry. Is this really not allowed??

Thank you so much! It's perfect!

I go to my local bank beforehand and they do it for me. I always ask for$200 worth of small bills.
Anything left over I leave it for my room steward in addition to his regular tip. I was told the crew
exchange money among themselves if someone has shore leave and no local currency.
The walk might be flat to the Empress but I would have had difficulty walking it in 20 min but I am
a senior citizen. Someone in better shape might be able to.[/quote
Thank you, good idea. I'll stop at the bank before I leave :D

Thank you everyone. I really appreciate it. I've never had to exchange money before. Would they do that on the ship for me or do I have to do it in town?

Entertainment is better on NCL. Be sure to book shows at 100 days prior to sail.
Hi, I am also new to NCL. We'll be heading to Alaska in May. We can actually 'book' our spot for shows??
-
Just wondering if there is a shuttle that takes you into town from the port. I know we can also catch a cab but should it be in Canadian or American dollars? I heard you can walk into town but not sure my knees can take it LOL Is there anything to do at the port? Shops or restaurant?
-
Hi, does anyone have recent dining menus or even a room service menu for the Pearl? Very much appreciated.
-
Yes it is I believe (well at least some of it is). That said, I found the stuff they served up to be beyond nasty!
:D
oh no, thanks for the heads up!

Hi, first time on NCL and just saw there is a Sake bar on the Pearl. Does anyone know if it's included in the UBP?
Thank you :-)

Thank you :-)

Perfect! Thank you.

Hello, new to MSC. Interested in the MSC Seaside. Are there always 2 buffets open for dinner and are they both 'free'?
Thank you in advance :-)
-
Can anyone tell me are there any Adult only areas/pools aboard the MSC Seaside? Thank you.

Hello, first time on Norwegian and very much looking forward to it. Looking forward to our 1st Alaska cruise in May 2018. Does anyone have any of the MDR Pearl dinner or lunch menus? I am sorry I couldn't seem to find any. I may not be looking in the right place. Thank you.

Doesn't Carnival guarantee the purchase if bought on their ship? I think RCI does.
Sent from my iPad using Forums[/quote
We tried, believe me but they said 'No, once it's off the ship the jewelry company takes over' and that was at least 5 different Carnival Cruise employees :-(

I am so so sorry that you are going thru this Birdie06. It's been such a long time but I do believe I am the original OP on this thread. After hundreds of angry phone calls and several weeks of not giving up we were finally able to get someone at the EFFY Corp to at least listen and try to help us. As it turns out the reason why my stone just 'fell out' was because of the resizing that was done to the ring (even though it was just up 1 size AND done by another EFFY store) As per EFFY NY, the ring should have never been resized as it did indeed damage the prongs. Since then the stone has been replaced, free of charge, from EFFY since they admitted it was their fault.
I honestly believe if not for the help of Claire @ EFFY in NY this would not have been resolved to our satisfaction. I would be happy to pass any information that I still have in hopes to have your situation resolved as well.

1st time sailing Norwegian. We'll be on the Pearl in May 2018. Was wondering if there was anyplace that you could just get a slice of pizza. Not the restaurant you have to pay for. Just some place to stop and get a slice like you would a burger or hot dog. Thank you :-)

Thanks everyone. Maybe I will bring some magnetic hooks and try to hang a sheet or I'll just try one of those sleep masks to cover my eyes. LOL thanks for the replies
