Thanks English Lady, you are one of the most helpful on here, amongst many others I know.
:)

Quick early morning day of embarking question :)
Is there a cd player in a superior balcony cabin.
Thanks
-
Thanks to you both, very helpful and reassuring.

What kind of shoes can you wear on these nights, I know not trainers but are loafers ok or boat shoes, it just says no trainers, what about canvas pumps.
He may be wearing black jeans or dark chinos, I dont think he will be comfortable in formal shoes.
Thanks for your help.
One more thing, are black cargo pants a no-no on these evenings?

Thanks all for the info, very helpful.

That made me laugh :D John Watson.

Ok thanks Scriv, I may do that then, we dont have mobility probs as such, Just dont want to take chances with my dodgy back and his dodgy knee. :)

Thanks all for your replies, really helpful.
Scriv, do you need to book in advance for the troll car? There will be only our ship (Britannia) in Olden that day.
I wonder if P&O will let you change your excursion to another one.
Thanks

Can someone tell me how the walk is and whether it takes 45 mins there and back or 45 mins one way then t'other?
We are on the excursion for this, its a coach trip so far then you walk the rest of the way to the glacier, am wondering whether I should have booked the troll car instead.
Thanks

Just dont understand black and white theme night, why, when you have all the glorious evening gowns in all the lovely colours would you want the whole ship in black and white! Yawn.
Not for me Im afraid, I want to see colour, glam, sparkles and glitter.
Having said that I have mostly black dresses :o. Even so Ill be using gold evening bags, or even a bright red one.
Still dont like the idea of it, especially when there are only 2 formals on our cruise.

Bit concerned with our trip now as there are 4 ships in port at Bergen and Stavanger, already lost Flam.
-
Maybe I was a bit hasty, we had just got in from a long journey from Scotland.
Im sure we had missed it anyway as I got the email on Wednesday and wasnt able to reply til Saturday.
I agree it was a good price and no doubt someone has got a bargain.
Still, I like the cabin we have and will feel like I now have £300 to spend (weird logic) yippee!
 Have got a 3:30 boarding time bah!

Re the B617 trip to the Fjords on the Britannia.
Was offered an upgrade to a suite on B deck for £150 pp, thought about it but said no thanks, we have a good sup. balc midship and although having breakfast in the epicurean was tempting, I just thought an extra £300 was too much for me.
I hope that someone else benefitted from it, if not maybe my daughter and her husband that are also going may get a free upgrade as this will be the first time she has booked a cruise herself. :)
I went onto their webpage and it says all suites are fully booked.
Anyway good luck for those going on this trip, you never know.

Superior deluxe balconies on Britannia, Azura and Ventura have bathrobes and slippers but not to keep.
-
I wondered if they would change it as they had done to a previous cruise before ours.
There would have been 4 ships in at Flam (inc. Britania) so maybe just as well they have changed it.
:)

Thanks OfTheSeasCruiser and Barnet.

Hello folks.
can someone tell me which ship is at Dubai today or tomorrow, its an RCI ship but dont know which one.
Thanks for your help.

The most detailed review Ive read yet, sometimes its the little things you want to know about. Good job.
Bit disturbed at the smoking on the non smoking side, hope thats not the norm.
The lighting in the cabin seeems a bit anti-green.
Im going on in June, seems ages to wait.

Thanks groovechick.
Fantastic for the kids having their own cabin and better for you too I expect.
We are about the same distance as you from the midship stairs but the other way, towards the fore.
Treated ourselves to balconies for this trip.
Ive been in an inside cabin that was so small it had bunk beds, I was travelling with my cousin so we had a good laugh it was like being kids again.
Good to hear a little less movement on that deck.
We are going to Norway and I wont be surprised if the seas are rough.
Thanks for your info groovechick.

Glad you enjoyed the cruise.
Im booked in a c cabin so pleased to hear the cabins are ok, can I ask your location and what sort of cabin you had?
Looking forward to your review, when you have recovered. :)

Fabulous, thank you for posting lake 5298 and the english lady.
Unbelievable isnt it.

He does seem the type that have done so many cruises they think they now 'own' the crew and the ship and P & O and probably the whole of Carnival.
One of his comments was...about the Captain
'I dont pay him for an opinion.....' etc (he wrote that in capital letters)I cant recall the other bit.
He actually used the word 'disgusting' about the present to the Captain, kudos to the Captain for not decking him.
Wish someone had copied it, some posters thought it must be a joke but he did say he had a witness and they had exchanged details, it didnt seem very jokey to me.

Spent a while reading these comments, some very funny.
I dont condone people being so rude to the op but really this guy does take the biscuit, if you looked up pompous in the dictionary his face would be there.
Read it before it gets taken down, as it may do as some of the comments are v rude.

Some great advice and information there, thanks, hope I dont get the bill.:)
Im in no rush and will take heed of the good advice here.
Thanks everyone
