Naturally that got me to thinking if there was anything so crazy or ironic as an on-board bar hopping or pub crawling scene, organized or not.
At one time Princess had an organized "Bar Hop". If you went to all the bars during the duration of the cruise(didn't have to be in the same day), you would get a T-Shirt. Shirts still available on eBay.
I've heard that some people have won two shirts on one cruise.:D

Touch your fore finger to your thumb, and extend your middle finger. Your right hand will make a "d" for drink, and your left will make a "b" for bread.

We always change seats, usually only one chair at a time. Even when we have a table for two, we switch sides every night.

It was a very convenient location & it worked well for us and we would go there again...not a "fuggedaboutit"experience for us. :p
Thank you Mr. Flyer.

Like 'san diego sue', we arrived the night before & we stayed at the Comfort Inn Brooklyn Cruise Terminal & took their free shuttle a couple of minutes to the cruise terminal. We arrived early (about 10:00-ish) to beat the crowds & traffic that others cautioned us about. :)
What was your opinion of the hotel? Trip Advisor is all over the place with their reviews. I know the hotel is in an industrial area, but any bars or restaurants in the area?

I second Harv & Marv, for whale watching, sailed with them twice.

Found two on the same garment last week.

Last month on Caribbean Princess they switched the draft beer to Heineken, from Stella, in Churchill's.

Every ship I've been on had a deck 13!
Yes, but most of the time it is called 14.

I know there is a restaurant right at the pier! Does anyone know the name of it?

I have three complete sets, so I sold my duplicates for 50 cents each at my garage sale. ;)
You should have tried ebay. Check the prices they are asking there.

I booked this hotel for $91 on LMT.
What dates are you staying?

Would love to do a tour.
Check with Sunseekers, to see what they can do.

Pier 66 is in the Beach Zone. Embassy Suites is in the Downtown Zone.

As it appears, while on a different deck, the aft pool appears to be part of the Sanctuary. Is this correct or is is open to anyone?
Although the pool is part of the Sanctuary, we have used it after the Sanctuarty closes. I think it is usually around 6:00 or 7:00. The pool was originally part of the youth/teen center.

We disembarked the Island Princess at Canada Place on June 24. Left our cabin at 7:50 am, and were through airport security on our way to departure gate at 9:15 am. This included claiming luggage at pier, taxi ride, and going through Canadian and US C & I. So, an 11:00 flight can be doable, but personally I wouldn't try anything before noon.

Is there a car rental company near the cruiseport?
Yes, there is an Enterprise office next to the Crowne Plaza.

My late Husband, had 2 T shirts and 2 ball caps.
You can still get a T shirt on ebay. I've seen the caps there too, but not too often. A two week cruise was usually good for two shirts. Only problem was they never had any XXL's, so I didn't get to wear them.

I think I will bring a light snack with me and eat in my room
Niko's Pizza is about two blocks west of the hotel on 6th St. They will deliver to the hotel, and I am sure that there is a menu at the hotel.

Do you mind telling me the address of this liquor store?
If staying at the Crowne Plaza, go out the front door. Walk south to 7th and turn right a block and a half. The liquor store is across from Mishi's Strudel. Same directions as in post #333.
-
How long would it take to walk from the Crowne Plaza to Vons,
Don't know about that, but there is a small grocery store much closer. The Numero Uno Market is at the corner of 5th and Pacific. Walk out of the hotel heading west on 6th to Pacific, about three blocks. At that corner look to the left and you will see Off The Vine, a wine store. If you go right on Pacific for one block, you will find Numero Uno Market. If you are looking for liquor or beer, there is a store even closer. Go out the front door of the hotel and go south to 7th. Turn right on 7th for about a block and half, where you will find the Seven Days Food Store. It is sort of a 7-11 type place, across the street from Mishi's Strudel.
-
Is there some place close we might be able to get to
Try "Off the Vine" at Sixth and Pacific, not too far from the hotel. I have heard that they even deliver to the hotel.
