To answer the original question posed, I'd take the longer cruise for less money. Plus, the Venezia is a unique ship. Its definitely worth a try.

I have such a weird vibe about Curaco. I hate that I watched that documentary about the lady that went missing. I know its 1 in a million but its ruined it for me! So irrational. I need to do more research on Bonaire and Curaco in general because I to am deciding between these two itineraries. Both a win!
I saw the same documentary. It blows my mind that on such a small island, no one can find the American girl that works in brothels?!?! How hard could this be??

There’s something else I skipped over. The price I pay for doing a live report that is a day behind.
Between the chairlift and the pier is, of course, the duty free shop. There is nothing that interested us in there, but it makes a good AC spot to get out our sail and sign cards and IDs.
I open my bag, and take out the sail and sign cards to distribute. I also carry everyone else’s ID’s, so I get them out to distribute. I then go to get my ID out, which I keep.in my phone case. And then it occurs to me. Before leaving, I took my phone out of my pocket to get the card we’re using to lock the safe - which I also keep in my phone. And left it on the desk. With my ID still inside. And the card for the safe.
Talk about a rookie mistake.
We still had an hour before all aboard time, so there wouldn’t be an issue for my wife to go on the ship, retrieve my ID, and come get me. Except, of course, my wife not letting me live this down. And, the pain I’d feel for making my wife make an extra round trip to and from the ship.
For those who read my Horizon review, yes, I had a flashback of standing outside airport security while my wife passed me my book through the security guard. It was going to happen again!
Though I had resigned myself to my fate, my wife, who’s intuition was taking a vacation this vacation (remember how many points she got last cruise?), took charge.
She gathered all of the IDs back, and told everyone else to go in front of her with the sails and sign cards. As I approached the guard with my sail and sign card, my wife pushed ahead of the kids and me (almost knocking over poor grandpa in the process) and handed the guard the stack of IDs (we carry IDs for the kids, just in case). The guard glanced at the stack, handed them back, and sent us all on the way.
I know, how could I forget to include this part?
You've got yourself a good, smart wife there!!! Don't let her go! 😄

After Game Night, I went and got my hot water, then back to the cabin. As I was making my tea, I realized that I hadn’t had ice cream on the ship yet. Oh let's change that. I grabbed an empty cup, and went down to Deck 8. I’d learned on Mardi Gras where the late night ice cream was(hallelujah). I also got some tap water since I was running low in the cabin. After those errands, I went back and stayed in. W went to the casino to spend my $25 in chips (plus more money that he wouldn’t tell me about).
Before I fell asleep, I said a prayer thanking God for ice. Blessings to the king (or queen) who decided they were done with hot drinks, swollen limbs, hot rooms, and everything else that was improved by adding ice. Thank you God. Ice slaps every time. Joseph’s stepson definitely had something to do with that one, and we are grateful. Amen.
"Joseph's stepson".....LOL!!! I almost spit my coffee across the room because I laughed so hard! Great review!

Perhaps not. I was not aboard. I got that information from a debarking passenger who stated they were told the coast guard was called.

Thanks for reading this😁! Yes, W is from Cincinnati, so he loves the Bearcats, Bengals and the Reds. ♥️♥️♥️I see. Well, I'm from CT and believe it or not, I'm a Bengals fan! Tell W he is a man of excellent taste (and not just because he chose you for a wife! 😄)

Hoping they get everyone on quickly. NY taxes drinks (even though it is only pennies) and for some that could add up pretty quickly - lol.
LOL!
