I just booked my first sailing out of NY and can see that when I attempt to add Cheers that it begins on Day 2.  I understand that this is specific to NY and Galveston, but does anyone know why?  Just

In NY, I believe its because of the state's liquor laws as they relate to "pay 1 fee for all you can drink", but I'm not certain.  I'm also not sure about TX.

Thanks. We certainly are. We had 2775 on board which they said was 70%.

I'm glad you're having a nice trip..  We leave a week from tomorrow.   It will be interesting to see if the numbers keep climbing.

My last cruise was cancelled (it was paid in full, I was refunded gratuities and port taxes)....I still have a 500.00 credit after paying in full ....a new cruise..(the cruise I just booked was ALOT CHEAPER)....I was also given a 300.00 OBC as a perk for rebooking.  Hope I am making sense...so as it stands I have an $800.00 credit ...My question is this....Will the $800.00 show on my card or will they disperse it between the 3 of us in the room.....

I think the $500 credit will go on your account (assuming you were the one that paid for the original cruise).  I assume, but am far from certain, that the $300 OBC would be split between the 3 of you.  I base this assumption on my own booking wherein I was given a $600 OBC for having paid in full and not requesting a refund after the sailing was cancelled.  That credit was split between the people in the cabin.

I understand there are reasons for announcing cancellations the way they are doing it, but I wish Carnival, and other cruise lines for that matter, would just state the obvious that no one is going on a cruise any time soon. Articles like this one give people hope that cruises might actually happen in May or June. The chances of that happening are the same as the Bengals winning the Super Bowl next season.

Hi Philly, I'm a Bengals fan.  I know cruising is on hold for a while, but man, that comment cut deep, really deep.  Ouch!  🙂😄😁

    Hey guys!

So I have some exciting news!

I found out last night that I'm going to be transferred to Oasis Of The Seas in 3 weeks time. This is a big step up for me, and a lot more responsibility is going to be put on me - but I'm excited for this challenge.

I'll be flying out to Spain to join the ship, and then crossing back to America for the beginning of the Caribbean season.

Let me know if any of you will be on Oasis! I look forward to meeting you!

Congrats Chris!!!!  We'll be sailing oasis on July 4.  Will you still be aboard?

I have been on 2 BN cruises and scheduled to go again in Feb.

We are not nudists by anyone's definition.  We went on our first one as kind of a dare to each other. We were surprised by the different atmosphere and how much fun we had.

So many fun people of all ages, races, professions, backgrounds.

They have the same comedians, floor shows, trivia games, etc as a regular Carnival cruise.

Clothing optional means no judgment - A lot of people wear just a sarong/wrap (men and women).

There are some extra theme nights to dress up which are really fun.

If other people's nudity doesn't bother you, try it - you may find that the relaxed atmosphere and fun folks and no kids is just what you need for a real vacation.

Yes it is more expensive than a regular Carnival cruise.  But not twice as much.  You get some extras for the cost - more activities, extra bands, and did we mention no kids?

I can't fathom a ship with absolutely no kids on board.  Dare to dream......lol
