Thanks for posting. Are those prices current. They look a bit low.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review!!! It has been great so far, I can't wait for the rest!

Thanks luckybecky for your detailed, honest review!! You did a fantastic job and it was a joy to read it!! Happy sailing!!

The last 2 years we've used whiteboards on the outside cabin doors. They are quick and convenient; just jot your message on the way out.

👍🏼👍🏼
I had to comment ; if only to say that I could not agree more with your post.
Amen....

Or, just bring a refillable bottle. The ship's water is the same stuff that's in those bottles!
Maybe even better....:):D

Jeff, thanks again for your wonderful reviewing. I can only imagine the time it takes you to write and compile it. Another job well done!!!!

If there is a short distance between ports, they sail more slowly. However, generally the captain increases the speed over night, and decreases the speed during the day.

my brother in law- boy did her marry into the wrong family!:)

Sorry you experienced such rude behavior. I'm glad you had a nice time, rude behavior notwithstanding.

That was excellent!!! Thanks for posting it. I can't wait for part 2! I sailed her last June and your video brought back a lot of fond memories.

I agree with all the above posters. That said, I always print the tags in color. I think the color tags make it easier to identify/sort and therefore reduces the risk of my suitcase being misplaced. That's just mho, I have zero actual knowledge to support that theory! :D

I believe the 2013-2014 winter season was the last time Carnival sailed year round out of NY. Based on a talk I attended while on board the Splendor the following summer, the presenter said Carnival has no intention of returning to year round sailings out of NY.

By in large we've been spared of much snow in central CT. Merry Christmas!!

There are a lot of unique features and twists to this ship. Alchemy Bar was fantastic!!! I also enjoyed Bonsai Sushi. Happy Sailing!

Closest port to Fla. that can accommodate cruise ships would be a good guess. First or last stop from home port. Heck it's probably the least expensive in port fees also.
I agree. Plus, many other islands/ports cannot accommodate that many ships at once and these ships need to go somewhere.:D
-
Last time, there was 7 ships at port.
Wow, I didn't think they had enough berths to accommodate 7 ships!
-
They are removing the filet mignon and replacing it with a much better cut of beef. I believe the name on the menu will be "Deluxe Grilled Prime Flat Iron Steak with fresh peppercorn" ;p:');)

The only time I think I would care is if a cruise director was so annoying that it actually disrupted my cruise. I haven't had 1 that did that yet.

Can you take the Carnival beach towels off of the ship to use in port, or do we need to bring our own from home?
Thank you

You can bring the Carnival towels off the ship. Just be careful because if you lose one, they supposedly charge you $20 per non returned towel. I do not know how strickly that is enforced though.

Strewth as if 15% isn't already excessive.
Let's look at it a $10 drink that's $1.50, those who say they tip $1 a drink extra are now tipping 25%.
Madness.
I almost always tip a dollar extra, in cash, per drink. I also always have the Cheers program. Leaving my madness aside for a moment ;), the above math caculation is flawed if, for example, you are on drink 13 for the day using the Cheers program.
