Great chart!

I've never been there myself, but my family and I have contemplated going several times, so I researched it quite a bit. From what I read, it gets very favorable reviews and seems to be worth the money. Also, I haven't been to the "free" beach next door, but I don't recall it having changing rooms or bathroom facilities.

Great review as always Brianna! Thanks for posting!!

One of the tricks we've learned over the years is to use the Euro outlet for high current items like hair dryers, curling irons, hair straigheners. If your appliance is rated up to 240V, all you need is a US to Euro adapter. Note, don't do this if your device is not rated for 240V.
Great tip!!!

If you want a traditional cruise experience this is not the ship for you. If you want something different, lots of variety in food and entertainment, plenty of activities and fun things to do day and night, this is the cruise for you. I would add that this ship has the best swimming pool/hot tub situation I've ever encountered on a cruise. It's near perfect!
What made the swimming pool/hot tub situation so perfect?

Ok, thanks guys!!!
Or maybe I can shower fully dressed; kill 2 birds with 1 stone!... :)

Does Anthem have a self serve/coin-op launderette? I searched the boards, but the most recent thread on the topic was from 2010.
-
There are lots of Anthem threads!
Did you prebook shows and activities like the Northstar, IFly, Puzzle room, comedy club, the Gift, and We Will Rock You? If not, plan to be at the port early and do that as soon as you board. Signing up and paying for the Royal App will make this easier to do last minute. I booked really late in March and nothing was available to book online, but I got everything I wanted when I boarded via the royal app. Otherwise you have to run all over the ship to find the booking venues and stand in line.
Thanks 138East! I have been reading them dutifully. I am just looking for additional tidbits and advice some can share that may not be posted in a typical threadpost or review.

On Oasis Class and Quantum Class, reserving shows in your cruise planner is highly recommended but optional. You may still get in but you'll have to wait in line. It is not an option on any other class of ship.
Do you need to reserve seats for every live show/event?

I'm sailing on Anthem in June. Can someone tell me which shows, if any, require advance reservations?

Reading different posts I've seen on some ships you have to book entertainment, did you find this..
What do you mean you have to book entertainment?

Hi All:
I'm reaching out to my fellow CC community members for some information. I'm sailing the Anthem on June 16 and it will be my first cruise aboard her. Additionally, I haven't sailed RC in almost 14 years. So, I guess I am looking for any information about the Anthem or RC in general that will make my cruise, or planning for it, better and easier! Any tidbits, big or small, will be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks!!!!

If you have DD Choice, you can go to any dining venue you want any night.
If you have DD Classic, if you want to go to one of the 4 "free" dining room venues, then you have to go to your assigned one.
Ok, that makes sense. If I have Dynamic Choice, can I go whatever time I want each night? Lastly, is only 1 of the restaurants formal attire?

Hi all. I'm really struggling to grasp the dd concept. I haven't sailed RC in several years, so I will be experiencing it for the first time on Anthem in June. My understanding is you rotate between 4 dining rooms every night. However, I was also told that if you did not want to go to a particular dining venue, you could skip it and go to a different venue. Is that true? Assuming it is, do you just show up at the venue of your choice and get seated depending on availability? Any and as much help and information you all could provide will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!

I have a couple of questions that I can't seem to find the answers to. Is there a limit to the amount of drinks you can get in a day? Also, is there a time restriction between drinks; i.e. only 1 drink per hour? Thanks in advance for your help.

We sailed he 2 weeks ago and had the same experience. Self disembarkation started around 8:15. We had Zone 8 and were off by about 9:30 ish.

Thanks for your review. My family and I are leaving in a couple of weeks to sail the Ecstasy on this itinerary. I'm glad you had a great vacation!

Thanks for the info cruisinmisstee. I'll bring along through dress duds!

Thanks BK!

Anyone?

Can anyone tell me approximately what time the Ecstasy starts debarkation on its 4 day route. I'm trying to plan a rental car pick-up and am looking for a general idea. Thanks in advance for your help!

I have heard alot of "no so good" things about cruises to nowhere. I cannot imagine getting on a cruise ship and going nowhere.
That thought of that is disappointing in itself.
I've only done 1 Cruise to Nowhere. It was my least favorite of the 13 cruises I've sailed.
On the other hand, I loved the Victory when i sailed her. I thought it was a great ship.

I agree with Deck 10; and the earlier the better. My wife and I walk every morning at about the same time. There are few people on deck in the early AM (and fewer still as the cruise progresses... :<) ) and you get to know the ones that are out. By day 2 you know who runs fast, walks slow, etc. and therefore you can help stay clear of the faster folks and know you may have to detour for the slower ones...

Does anyone have some good ideas for things to do in and around the Bayside Market area? We'll be arriving in Miami around 11 AM the day before our cruise and I'm looking for some things to do with a 10 and 12 year old boys. We're leaving for the airport in CT at around 5 AM and I imagine we'll be a bit tired; so I'm not looking for anything to wild or anything that requires more than a 15+/- minute cab ride; preferable even things in walking distance. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for posting these videos. They were cool. I sailed the Miracle several times when she was on the East Coast. I had a great time on each voyage!
