Can you book last minute?  Last year on the JEWEL the price dropped about $200 2 weeks prior to sail.  We had booked after final payment and I thought that price was great, about $380 p/p  then  dropped again and again, if we had waited we could have sailed for about $180 all in! (7 day  inside passage 2nd cruise of the season)

This is encouraging... we are looking to book Alaska for this June and missed the sale yesterday! We may just wait it out and see if prices drop again...

  2. Hello,

I am an avid cruiser and have sailed on NCL, RC and Carnival. I am now looking into European cruises from Rome and wanted to get feedback and advice on recommended cruise lines to search. I notice my 3 regulars have somewhat limited sailings, and some of the lines I am not as familiar with offer more. Any suggestions or things to think of?

  3. On our tour yes, everyone went to the same beach. They took us to Shipwreck Bar and Grill and we used their loungers as well. Since they have an AM and a PM group that is where they take the opposite group while waiting for your tour. For example, we were picked up and dropped off at the beach while the other group did their tour, then they came back to the beach and we went on our tour.

If you already have an international drivers license, wouldn’t that be acceptable rather than paying for another?  It sounds like a really fun day. How many buggies go out on the tour?

Not sure about the drivers license, but when we did this tour there were 6 buggies, one with the guide and five on the excursion. There was an AM and a PM tour on our day. Super fun! Definitely bring garbage bags to cover your belongings or something that can be easily washed... ours were covered in dust!

I just returned from this tour and had such a great time!!!

Please let me know if you anyone has any questions.

Where in the cruise terminal did you meet? Was the beach included as a stop?

    Thanks!

  6. Hello,

We are cruising to Antigua next week and have an excursion (4x4 Island Tour) booked through Royal Caribbean.  The excursions has us back at port at 11:30 am and we don't leave until 5pm.

Given this time frame, is there a beach that you would recommend going to? Thinking we would need to stay near the port so we don't waste too much time traveling to and from...

    Any suggestions?

I left off at our last evening in San Juan, which was Saturday, May 25, and I will get back to there, but first I want a little feedback. My husband is scanning the Compasses so I can share them, and I'm trying to determine which format is best for CC.  I have PDFs which include the 4 pages together and JPEGs for individual pages. Here's my scientific experiment.

    CC Day 1 0526001 (1).pdf 12.55 MB · 4 downloads

Looks like the PDF link works, everyone OK with the PDFs?  Thanks!

The PDF’s open perfectly!! Thank you!

  8. Hello,

My husband and I are sailing for our honeymoon next month and are considering splurging on a day pass to the Sandals in Barbados.  Does anyone know which location is recommended from Bridgetown?  Also, has anyone done this recently and can provide feedback?

    Thanks!

  9. Hello,

I am cruising to Antigua next month on the Freedom of the Seas and wanted to do the Salty Dogs Tour; however, I can't book directly through them as all of their vehicles are being rented out for the cruise line's excursion. When I try to book the excursion through RC, it says online booking isn't available and to check on board.

Does anyone know what this means? Is the excursion sold out, or do they hold some back for onboard booking?

Also, are there any other suggestions for a similar tour?

    Thanks!!

  10. Hello!

I am cruising on the Freedom of the Seas out of San Juan next month and am having trouble choosing a hotel.  We will be arriving around 3pm on Saturday and our cruise leaves Sunday evening.  In the time we have, we'd like to visit Old San Juan and El Morro.  I am also considering doing a half day tour Sunday morning to El Yunque with Sunset Tour.

Based on the time we have and the location of what we are trying to do... where should I look for a hotel?  Cruising out of Pan Am Pier and only need hotel for one night... so must not have a two night minimum.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi all!

I'm in the midst of planning my honeymoon and I originally was looking at Carnival but I found a ship/port on RC I really like. Can anyone give me feedback on the below ship and the ports it stops at?

Freedom of the Seas (7 day Cruise- November 2020)

    Leaves San Juan

    St. Thomas

    St. Kitts

    Antigua

St. Lucia (Which is my dream to visit)

    Barbados

    Thanks in advance!

We are doing this trip next month for our honeymoon too! Happy planning! ❤️

  12. Hello,

My husband and I are visiting St. Lucia for the first time and are looking for feedback regarding the tours from Cosol's and Spencer Ambrose's.  I've been reading other posts and reviews, but am hoping to get clarification before booking!

Cosol's takes you to both the drive-in volcano and mud bath, as well as snorkeling at the beach, but there isn't every much time at each stop since there are so many stops.

Spencer's tour you have to choose between the drive-in volcano or mud bath, as well as the beach, but you have more time between there aren't as many stops.

Is this accurate? I like that Spencer's is by boat, but being our first time we were hoping to do the volcano and mud baths, plus have time to snorkel.

Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!
