Yikes. We will be on Deck 10 starboard just a bit behind the forward elevators. Hope this gets resolved.
we were in 10114 banging for 5 days when the sea was rough.

Great review, we are also on the 10 floor neat forward elevator, no banging tonight, past nights very loud sounded like someone was trapped in the wall trying to get out

We are avid cruisers, in our 60s, grown children no grandchildren; for a quick weekend away, my husband wanted to cruise out of port canaveral , two ships are Independence of the Seas ( been on many many times ) and the new Disney wish. The concierge level was sold out. We have a veranda.
Questions, can we bring soda on board? At dinner will we be assigned to sit with another family? Any tips for first time Disney cruisers?

we called since we have a similar issue, customer support said this was common.
-
they are thensame

I saw this, I am sick of living in fear. On a cruise everyone has been tested and the ships have good protocols.

Thanks for this update and recommendations. Did you have to have the St. Maarten COVID insurance to go around the island? I'm thinking that since we are no staying overnight we are still in-transit and do not need the insurance. Did you pay the drivers in US dollars? How much was you cost for the day? Thanks again for the information. We are also out at 4:30 and will probably follow in your footsteps.
we paid for the insurance But nobody asked us, we bought it by mistake. The taxi tour was$90, which I thought was fair, celebrity was charging $60 for the transfer

When was last call? We're in the Retreat and wondering how late we can stay on the ship when we cruise next month (we have an afternoon flight).
Thank you!
It was around 9:45 am. we were also in the retreat and were offered to stay later in the retreat lounge. but we felt akward. The retreat was absolutely awesome.

If you have independent transportation (i.e., not Celebrity transfers), do you have any choice of debarkation times/groups?
It's been a while since I've cruised Celebrity, but I'm thinking of Royal's process (at least pre-COVID) where you register early in the week for the approximate debarkation time you want.
We aimed to be the last off due to our late departure, we waited for them to call last call. The were assigning departure times, we used an independent taxi driver. No need to geet their early since they will pulll people with earlier flights out of line

We flew yesterday from Saint Maarten. Thanks to the boards here we knew not to go to the airport early for our 4:30 flight. We tried to get a day room but there were none available. The Holland House will let you use their facilities and even lock your luggage but if we went to the beach I would want to take a shower. When we picked up our luggage we asked our porter to see if he could find a driver to take us around the island until 1:30pm. We had a lovely morning touring the island, seeing lovely beaches and lunch in Margot. At 1:30 she took us to the airport and the line was wrapped around the building. I asked our driver to take us for another hour. We returned at 2:30pm. We only had to wait outside for 1/2 hour and another 1/2 inside.
Outside if you had an earlier flight, the attendents would allow them to jump the line.
It was a madhouse , you would led into one huge room.
I would try to minumize your time at the airport.

thank you for this thread, did you have the nasal pharyngeal test at cvs or just the nasal test?
-
The quest near me only does the nasal test not the nasal pharyngeal, did they perform the nasal pharyngeal or the nasal and did St Martin accept this?

Three things have to go wrong for you to get infected on a flight...
- There has to be a Covid-19 patient on board
- They have to be contagious
- Assuming they are wearing a mask, which is mandatory, the mask itself has to fail to prevent the transmission.
Add the fact that on the plane you are sitting in a finite area within proximity of maybe 10 people max within 6 feet of you, vs. crossing paths with 1000 cruisers over 4 days, I'd say you have 100X multiples more chance of getting infected on a cruise ship
you forgot number 4, That you are not wearing a mask yourself

We just go our April cruise refunded this week
