  1. Hello, we need to travel to the East coast after our cruise in Long Beach Cali. The 3 hour time change is killing us, I have kids who have to be in college/school Monday (the next day). we are in a suite, we want to walk our luggage off as soon as possible. If it docks at 8am what are the chances we can be off the ship and through immigration/customs by 9am? I want to book an 11:50am flight out of LAX. Help :)

If you have the concierge walk you off and get a porter to take your luggage they will walk you to the head of the immigration line you should be out of the terminal by 9am.

  2. There are two ways to get to the terminal once you reach the end of Julia Street. You can take a right and walk a short distance to the terminal entrance, but you will be walking against traffic and there are signs that tell you not to do that.

Or you can take the escalator or elevator up to the Riverwalk mall, walk directly across towards the river and you will see an elevator that takes you to the terminal.

Is it possible to walk across the tracks and enter the portal that says "Julia Street Cruise Terminal" and get into the terminal that way?

  3. Booked this sailing too! What do you think of the "overnight" in Vancouver leaving at 1:30am. I LOLed.

I think it's because they are waiting for low tide. I'm surprised the Bliss would fit under the Lions Gate bridge at all. The Bliss is 20 decks high and I know some 15 and 16 deck ships that could not fit under the bridge. The only thing I could think of is they are building it with a fold down mast.

  4. That looks like the ceiling is a view of the bottom of the Haven pool!! OMG! That would be the first reason I've ever had to book the Haven. I'd give them an observation or 2!

(It's probably just the sky or something, but that's not as fun to imagine.)

I'm sure that's just a light. The DOS is above that area.

  5. Regarding the UDP for all nights and trying to get the free Plat wine and it appears we are in the minority here from what others have said but worth letting you know. When we had the UDP for all nights and we went to Le Bistro on POA we asked to use our certs just for the wine and were told no, the NCL system couldn't figure out how to ring that up so we ended up using the Plat meal cert to get the wine but were limited to one app, one entree, one dessert. Again, others haven't had this problem.

The same thing happened to us last month on the Epic.

  6. I emailed the pre cruise concierge about not being able to book and this is what I got back.

"It has been a schedule changed and it put on a stop sell. At this time we do not have any information. We apologize for your inconvenience."

I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

  7. Does anyone know what the # would be for a replacement fuse? Cannot find this information anywhere.

At this time we travel with an extra charger. Is it wise to carry an extra fuse when traveling, or are we being over protective of DH's wheels? He cannot walk one step without help.

The battery has a circuit breaker that can be reset if tripped by pushing it. That's on the front of the battery. The tiller has a fuse that is under the battery housing on the main frame. That one is a 3 amp fuse. Same fuse used in automobiles (spade type). It's purple in color. Just pull the battery off and you will see it. Pull the fuse out and take it with you to an auto parts store to match it.

  8. FYI, make sure your charger says 120-240 volts. It must have the dash between the voltages to be directly plugged in to 240 volts. If it says 120/240 volts with a slash in it the charger will have a small recessed switch somewhere on it that must be switched to 240 volts. If it's not switched you will burn out the charger. Those with the slash are usually the older ones.

  9. We just took flights out of Phoenix and Washington Dulles and they did not ask us to put our carry on in the sizer. From what I've been reading it depends on the airport. I got this off of Flyer Talk. Published carry-on limit: 9"x14"x22"

    Actual sizer dimensions: 10"x15"x23"

    Published personal item limit: 9"x10"x17"

    Actual sizer dimensions: 9"x11"x18"

There is a cutout for the handle so that helps a little.
