  1. Thanks Cbreeze,

We charge around 3-4k a month, so we build up points quick. We maxed out on the old Compass card in 8 months last year, thern built up some points on the GM card. 2% is OK. Better than 1%. I had the Icruise card before the compass card and that was great.

  2. I noticed a few of you have mailed in certificates with return receipt requested. The address on the back of thecertificate is a PO box. Is there another address? I have two $500 I want to send in on the cruise I just booked.

    BTW,
I haven't followed this thread since January when everything was switching over. What's the consensus opinion for a good rewards card to replace the old compass card
  3. Maryallen,

That was my concern back in December. I'm planning a cruise for April and was worried about getting caught up in the snail mail. I called in early December for my two $500 certificates and got them a week later. The down side was I only got one year expiration, but that shouldn't be a problem for me. I know alot of members were loading up points the last month and BOA is moving slow on this.

  4. Is everyone waiting for them to send the certificates or are you guys requesting them before the 31st?

I would wait and get the two year expiration. I was anxious to book my cruise and ordered my certificates about two weeks ago. I got one year on the expiration.

  5. I just received 2 $500 Compass reward certificates. I didn't wait till the end of the month as I am planning to book the Majesty out of Charleston soon. BTW, Only 1 year on the expiration.

The question I have is, since I have no desire to earn world points, do I have to use the BofA card for booking to use the compass certificates. I'd like to use a Visa and the OBC offer , then send the compass reward certificates to pay the balance.

  6. I just go my December statement from BofA and I have 1000 Compass rewards points for the year. Since I can't earn any more, can I request my certificates now or do I have to wait for the end of the program? I'm planning a April cruise, but may pull the trigger on a Feb cruise if the prices drop.

  7. The problem with the card is that it was originally an MBNA credit card and thney were the ones that started the program. Bank of America took over MBNA and inherited the program. It wasn't long for Bank of america to cancel the program.

The same think happened with the ICruise.com card. They gave 3.3% of rewards. MBNA canceled the program.
