  1. EEK, Ive missed half the review. All caught up now. Lets see my notes if I remember correctly.

-Dresses as usual are on point! Love the black one and the gold!

-Cornbread... BAHAHAH. Did I read it was "stuffed" too.. with what cream corn?

-Hey us old people sit on the balcony and drink wine... not in our bathrobes:rolleyes: lol

-The glasses being lost, omg I would freak. Our friend lost her Ray Bans in Punta Cana.. the kids, hubbies and 2 of us were diving for like an hour looking for them.

-I didnt know you stayed overnight at Bermuda so long, how cool. Yet sad since there wasnt much night life.

Cant wait to read more! now to catch up on Sean's.

  2. Thinking of doing the 1/2 day excursion with Big Beards so that we get back in time to do some shopping and have lunch, trying the local fare or sharing some appetizers. But can we also find a nearby beach to waste away at before having to get back on our cruise? We dock from 8-5.

Or shall I just do the full day and still have time to shop?

    Thank you!

  3. Are you signed up with Shutterfly? If so, they are constantly offering 50% discounts. I just checked their website and their the current special Shutterfly is offering on photobooks is only 30% discount. But they do run the 50% discounts fairly often. I also use them for pictures and photo books and the quality is great. Lately I've been making the photobooks after our cruises and if there isn't a 50% discount available when I finish, I just wait until one is offered (usually notified through email) and then I'll order it. :D

BTW, I remember your Breeze review and really enjoyed that.

Thanks all I usually get groupons for books etc. it was just the principal of the matter lol. Note to self next time don't lag on ordering [emoji19].

Speaking g of which pghsteekerfan thanks for the shoutout, I actually am working on my 2nd breeze review.. from April lol [emoji849] better late than never right lol.

  4. Just happened to pop on over to the Carnival site and saw your review. So glad I did. We are doing a Royal cruise in April out of PR, With a few different stops. Im just on your review of your hotel and the private island. Its making me rethink our prestay lol. Cant wait to see what else you do. I also am thinking about the night kayaking with the boys. You think teens would enjoy it?

BTW, I cant beleive you have done 2 cruises and 2 reviews now. I have yet to post our Breeze review LMAO. Its really a moo point now (Ya I know its moot/mute... unless your a Friends fanatic LOL).

Cant wait to see what else you do in PR. Love your reviews.. also your not alone in the looks you get when taking pics of odd things, like menus, bathrooms etc. LOL.

  5. This is an example of the triumph of Southwest marketing. So many people actually believe the hype that Southwest is always the lowest fare (and bags fly free!) that they pass up a really great fare on a legacy airline to wait for Southwest to be even cheaper. By the time Southwest opens up the dates, the great legacy fare is long gone and Southwest is more expensive. Moral of the story: when you see a relatively low fare, grab it.

Ya I'm kicking myself now and will never make that mistake again. Can only hope it will go down from $600-$700 to something a bit more reasonable [emoji15][emoji22][emoji19][emoji379]

  6. Ugg in going through this same thing for an early April cruise also from LAX, or San Diego, Ontario, Santa Ana, & or Long Beach lol. Found red eye flights on AMerican for $350 round trip. But waited for southwest to open up and the AA flight went to over $650 and SOuthwest was $250 one way and $600 returning lol. I'm kicking myself for not booking right when I found the AA flights. Hoping they come down again

  7. I normally bring a 6 pack of soda and a 6 pack of water with me on every RCCL cruise and have never had an issue. In fact out of RCCL's port in Puerto Rico they have their own store at the pier that sells 6 packs of water & soda that you can bring on board.

Oh good to know, we are sailing from there in April. Thanks!

  8. Not unworkable at all. The fact that people are laying their junk around and then leaving for god knows where is the whole problem. You eliminate that by setting the expectation that you use a chair by SITTING IN IT. A chair isn't a nice comfy place to throw your book while you go eat or take a swim.

I am going to start leaving my shoes and vacation bag in a chair I want in the Schooner bar. That way, I can go to the windjammer and eat, go up to my room to get something, or go get photos printed and when I come back my seat is saved.

People only do this at the pool because it is allowed. Once it isn't allowed people won't do it. You don't leave your book and towel and clothes anywhere else on the ship because that isn't a thing people do. Once it isn't allowed at the pool, people won't do it there.

A benefit to this is that there is no reason to worry about having to reserve a seat by throwing your stuff there. If only the occupied seats are taken then you'll be able to find a chair when you come back. No holding seats for a friend, no reserving, no wait.

It's a culture change but in no way is it unreasonable or unfeasible.

Actually I save my seat at other places too not just the pool. For instance, when Im at one of the bars I will leave my book or notepad that Im using. Along with cover my drink with a coaster and tilt my chair to save my spot. Now thats usually to run to the bathroom.. so I dont leave that spot for ungodly amouts of time just as I do with my pool chair.

Carnival has a great way to deal with chair hogs. They have chair police. Someone walks around putting a sticker with the time the chair was vacated, if your not back in 40mins (which I think it MORE than plenty time to allow you to not only hit the pool, potty and get some food) then they move your stuff and usually will help people find available chairs.

Unfortunately I have just learned that if you want a chair on a sea day, no sleeping in. Get up early and get your butt in a chair! Just nap in the sun, works the tan more LOL.

  9. Finally back on Cruise critic after a long hiatus... Aka not having anything planned lol. Saw your link on my review and had to read it

Loved it made me feel like I was back on ship. Your port days sounded so relaxing! The family is adorable too!

Great job, can't wait to read about your Vista! Or have I missed that too lol
