  1. If your ocelot dies in transit, I assume they won't be any hassle as long as it had a passport?

Noooo... you have the have an ocelot rider on your travel insurance to get the ocelot back if it dies. The passport is in case your turn your ocelot into a wallet, lose it in a foreign port, and need to be able to get it back if it is ever found. The passport needs to actually be in the wallet and not your stateroom safe.

  2. We want to see the highlights during our short NCL cruise stop and are not interested in spending time on a beach, other than to see the beaches. Here's what I've put together.

    Off the ship by 7:30

Take a taxi/tour that includes scenic stops along the way to

    Callwood Rum Distillery at

    Cane Garden Bay beach

Spend an hour at the distillery and on the beach

Then taxi and see sites back to spend time at

Pussers for a Pain Killer and maybe conch chowder

    Spice Company

    etc.

Then it looks like it's a short walk back to the pier(?).

We have 6 people in our group with the possibility of more from our role call.

Would a standard half-day tour encompass this? Do we need to ask for anything special or book a private taxi?

    TIA!

  3. I seriously think "Doug Time" is going to become a permanent part of my lexicon. I ran errands today in a car with clock failure due to a dead battery several weeks ago and never reset, and worked on a remote server with an incorrect clock while looking at a dead wall clock. I laughed at living in Doug Time and kept on.

  4. Thanks for taking us along this week. And tell Sue and your family thanks for sharing you with us. I've chuckled thinking everyone from the CD down probably knows about your live review, too! What an ingenious way to insure terrific service ;-). The. best. ever.

  5. How does luggage drop, passenger drop and parking work at POM - specifically for the terminal used by NCL Escape? Also, we have 6 passengers for a 4-passenger car that we'll be parking at the port. Would it be easy on a Saturday morning departure to drive through and drop off several passengers then circle back to the airport hotel for the others? Or best just to have 2 take a taxi?

  6. Disney. Hands down for girls those ages. This is the perfect age for them with almost unlimited access to princesses, awesome kids' clubs, and kid-friendly dining. They will probably outgrow the "magic" so now is a good time. I'm here on NCL boards and soooo excited about our first NCL Escape cruise coming up in May because DCL priced us out - and we're adults-only on this cruise. Still, the activities for kids on NCL Escape look great. Just hard to beat the princesses for the little girls.

  7. I'm not ok with the changes but will adjust. We'll eat at complimentary venues to compensate for upcharges elsewhere. We were excited about Margaritaville on Escape - but now that may not be complimentary, time will tell. I can handle these changes without it ruining anything. But the people I'm traveling with don't handle change very well and while not complainers, a couple lean that direction. Right now they don't have set expectations and none are on this board. They would be firmly in the "I'm not getting what you sold me" camp. And they won't know that the trip is going to cost $200+ more at the moderate end or more. BUT... if they did, I would not be hearing the end of it and THAT would make me unhappy. I sure am glad I never gave them cost details as I have continued to organize this trip for all of us!

  8. I've watched a lot of NCL cruisers complain of changes since we booked our first NCL cruise 8 months ago. For the most part the changes seemed trivial. The Jimmy Buffet "theme" was a huge draw for us. Margaritaville was advertised as complimentary dining. Sitting on deck with a cheeseburger-in-paradise sounded like, well, paradise. This is a HUGE takeaway for us. I would accept free breakfast/lunch, changing over to a fee-based meal at night. But come on, no top deck complimentary grill? Would not be happy.

  9. Thanks for this review! I've been following on Instagram (while at work, lol) and am just now catching up to this. Not that it matters because not much could spoil our spring cruise on Escape, but do you find the noise travels easily between cabins? I'd just hate for my husband and me to keep the neighbors awake with our snoring!

  10. Whoa! I switched to IE and it's a completely different experience. Pictures show in the threads, not as links; there are all kinds of images in the threads! So there's something in my Chrome settings that's "protecting" me from seeing all this. I looked for a geek forum and can't find one. So if any of my NCL peeps know how to fix, please advise. It's a pain to switch browsers. But of course I will to be able to easily follow the Escape through the upcoming months until my cruise.

  11. So your browser (on a pc) picks ups pictures posted from Tapatalk in code (the image[ ] tags) as a download? Could it be the file type?

Chrome user here, no problems with any pics or types. You might give Chrome a try, excellent browser imo.

Yes. And I am using Chrome (made sure it's latest version). Not sure if they are supposed to but none of the pictures display as part of a thread. I always click to go to the link in a new browser tab. The photos you post work fine in that method. Here is a recent link where my pc made me download the photo rather than displaying it in my browser. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10...386fbf5215.jpg

I have moused around Chrome and can't find a setting that I might change.

    Thanks!

  12. Can someone answer or point to the right CC thread. Whenever someone using Tapatalk(sp?) posts a picture, my PC won't take me to a link; instead it insists on downloading the photo. I'm following the Escape thread and we're starting to get serious with the photos (can't wait!). I don't want to have to download a bunch. Thanks for the help! Leslie

  13. I'll answer what I know and bump the question.

    - I also read it is better to book Dinner Show outside of SDP. Since we are not doing that meal I did not pay attention to the details. But you have to specify not to use SDP.

    - The Comedy shows, Quartet and other shows are free and you can make reservations.

    - I don't know but would assume there is a charge for wine tasting.

Bumping. I'm sure someone will be along to correct me if any of this is wrong. Happy cruising!
