Jarle was selected as random victim of testing on arrival. In the email we received 13.mins after arrival in Toronto, it was a phone number you need to call to register if you have a positive pcr test that are in the valid timeframe.
it’s a automatic voicemail, so you must plot in your date for positive test and you must register your phone number you used for ArriveCAN registration. And then you must be able to verify it in documents. They might page you to check your documents in-person the next 14 days.
Before they have registered your positive test and that you don’t need to test, you are receiving emails every 3-hours that you need to do testing and that it is mandatory, since you were selected.
So a bit stressful, but they stop when it’s processed that your not being tested due to recent positive test.
Safe travels❤️
Thank you so so much….I’m a bit annoyed with myself that I’ve let it stress me out this much. 💜

We are on our way to the same cruise! Hopefully will be landing this afternoon. We also are carrying our positive PCR results from August. Was it a simple procedure to register these results? Ive let this become my biggest stressor of this trip. Thanks for any and all advice.

Do they insist on a PCR test, or can you have a Rapid Test? I ask as they say with a PCR you can still show as positive upto 180 days after having caught covid.
If you show them your positive test that was run by a lab that includes the lab information, they will exempt you from random testing

,Cancelling was the right thing.
People, please do not fly unless you are 100% sympton free and isolated for the 10 days. We most likely caught Covid on our way home from Florida....on the flight or in the airport.
We flew home on a Wed. I felt quite sick by Sat.. then my husb was sick. Both of us have tested pos. ( his test at a walk in..mine at home) . We were surprised.
Now we have to isolate for 10 days. He is missing work, golf etc. We will also miss grandparents day at day care.. can't babysit or see them at all.
We have fairly mild cases, no fever, but still not well...No meds and told not to re test.
Our Life is disrupted...but would hate to ever pass this along!
CDC says quarantine is 5 days, not ten. After 5 days and your asymptomatic, resume normal activity but wear mask for 5 additional days if out in public spaces.

Thanks for the info!! We have a Sunday departure as well and this sounds wonderful!!

I’m on this cruise as well with the exact same arrival day. We are planning on testing the morning of the 9th before we leave for airport. I want the stress of the testing behind me as soon as possible 🙃

You can test positive for up to 90 days after initial test….they really need to update their rules. No one should be re testing after 5 days.

So Delta just rescheduled me to a flight that has me arriving in at 2pm. Much too close for my comfort. I used Flights by Celebrity for my air and I am past final payment. My TA called and then said they could book me into the day before but it would take a week to get it approved. Does this sound reasonable? Or should I call again. I don’t leave until Nov 12th. Has anyone rescheduled their flights after final payment?
Thanks for your answers
Took Celebrity 6 weeks to change my outbound flights so we wouldn’t miss connection. We leave September 11th and this was finally resolved two days ago. From my experience, one week is not enough time and I wouldn’t look for this to be resolved until the end of October. FWIW, our flights were also Delta.

Love to follow your adventure @abbydancer
We will be on eclipse 11.september on the 11-nights Alaska sailing. Can't wait. We have moved this sailing several times..... So it's almost hard to belive, that we are actually so close to sail/departure time.
Can I ask you a question. Please tell if they have the helipad open for visit, viewing point during your sailing.
And how is the temperature now?
(we are used to colder climate and wear layers everyday most of the year..... as you can see, we are from Norway and one of us has been living in Spitzbergen for 2 years;) So the vikings goes on holiday in colder climate🤣🤣
Safe travels onwards❤️
We are on this cruise as well…and we have also had to move it several times. I wont believe it actually going to happen until I am on the deck, coffee in hand 😋

We have a Vancouver to Vancouver Alaska cruise that starts on the 11th of September. Both husband and I tested covid positive (home tests) Aug 7. Retested with CVS to have “official’ positive test results on the 17th. We will need to travel with a certificate of recovery/fit to fly letter (which we are having a very hard time obtaining, but that’s a whole other story). Has anyone landed in Vancouver and used one of these letters? Anyone made it through entry and then used the letter to board ship? Any suggestions to make this process go smoothly would be greatly appreciated. The stress I’m letting this cause is crazy.
thanks for any help

I hope for you someone has tried it. But I was almost in your situation. Fortunately we did another home test a few days later to see if we were negative yet and we were not! That was Juky 29. So we went that day to CVS and got our positive tests. We have video calls with our doctor tomorrow to get the COR.
We leave August 21 from Vancouver
Good luck - I hope this will all be over soonMe too and thank you! I’m going to try and do that this week. Have a video chat with my doc next week. Did another home test and still positive.

I'm in the same boat. Have an Alaska cruise departing from Vancouver 11Sept. Just read the requirements for the COR....I did a home test so I don't have what's required for official documentation. Dodged this for over 2.5 years...ugh. Anyone out there that actually got a COR with only a home test and have it accepted at the pier?

We are using Celebrity for our air for our Alaska cruise in September. This will be the last time I use them. Like several other people have said, our flights were canceled by Delta and then rebooked. Out connection time on one of the three legs is less than 35 mins. Have called Celebrity several times. One of the customer service agents “booked” an appointment with me for a call back 14 days after submitting a change request with Delta…never called back. Very frustrating. Fingers crossed now that the emergency desk is actually a thing and can help us when we miss the connection 🙃

Just booked (today) Iconic Christmas Markets cruise on the AMAVerde for Dec 2021. Also pre and post add on. Last time we cruised AMA was April of 2019. So excited!

It’s been almost ten years since we’ve been on Solstice. Heading back in May. Can’t wait!

We will be sailing on Solstice the end of May. Alaska bound. If you are back in the fitness center, can you see if they have any Peloton bikes?
enjoy your trip!

Thanks for doing this! We board Anthem on the 31st for the same cruise. You gave me hope that there are items on the menu that will be “friendly” to me. We can’t eat dairy and avoid meat if possible. It’s nice to hear they are taking care of you.

Booked the AMADolce today for the March 2019 Bordeaux wine cruise. Has anyone here done this cruise? This is our first river cruise and I’m feeling a tad overwhelmed. Now on the lookout for airfare. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

Our last cruise was the first one we actually asked for vegan food. Our head waiter tried his best to accommodate us. On the second night he presented us with a vegan menu that had about 5-6 choices. We were given this menu every night and asked to give our order 24 hours in advance. They also served us several Indian dishes made by the crew chefs that were outstanding. Funny thing was, our assistant waiter (a young Chinese woman) was disgusted we were eating food prepared for the crew and that we were really enjoying it. Oh well. Made for some laughs for us. Speak to your head waiter the first night. Remain positive and flexible and they will bend into a pretzel to help you out. (Our sailing was in Grandeur)
