10+ of our group of 14 tested positive also....we were on your same cruise....
Yesterday myself and my partner were both negative....and today he was positive.
Is Princess oblivious to all these post cruise cases? If they are, it's ridiculous.

We disembarked today. DH tested positive as soon as we got home (he didn't mask, I did). We are both healthy and double boosted. Very little masking on board last week. Suggest taking precautions.
Thank you for bringing this to the attention of others. It is surely an act of kindness. The reality is that this virus is still here and that some of us will get much sicker than others. Ignoring Covid precautions is dangerous. I know that I don't want to look back on a cruise remembering how sick we got. Wear masks and wash hands frequently. Don't pack into elevators. Be sensible.

We join you next Saturday so appreciate all your insight.

Since there is no Alfredo's on the Caribbean Princess...is there a good substitute??

Or each steward is handling it differently???
Has there been any Covid on the ship? Are people wearing masks and distancing? We board in a couple of weeks and have heard many Covid stories coming off other ships.

I used it to board the Caribbean Princess last Saturday.
What day of the week did you take the test? There's some confusion between Wed and Thursday being accepted. Thanx.

Read that there are many Covid cases resulting from the previous repositioning cruise. What's happening now on the Caribbean Princess health-wise? What are the precautions? We are sailing in a couple of weeks and concerned.

Had dinner at Crown Grille last night (party of 4) and they knocked it out of the park! Service is still struggling, but bottom line things are good.
Cheers
Glad to know. What did you order so we can copy you. We were disappointed in the past so need some guidance.

We are on this cruise too and, sadly, the service is lacking. The front line workers are trying SO HARD and want to please you. However, service is inefficient. We have been to the Elite Reception the last two nights. We had to order our drinks 3 times each night for one drink. The scanners are a big issue. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. When it doesn’t work, it is frustrating for the worker. They have to get a piece of paper and manually take your order and cabin number. Water/drink service by the pool was basically non existent yesterday before noon. Today it improved.
Once again, the front line workers are doing the best with their tools. In time, improved procedures and a working Medallion scanning system should improve performance. I have let my Princess Travel agent know and have offered to provide feedback to any Princess employee who would like to discuss. I am trying to help Princess.Hi. We are Elite too and wondered if there was a wine tasting event? Also..we recall the elite parties where drinks flowed freely. Anything like these events happening? We are on in a couple of weeks. Thanks so much and regards.

First formal night. Have fun. Are they pouring champagne in the piazza?

Here’s an interesting tidbit. When we got back to the ship, my medallion failed at check in. Then the security person asked for my cabin number and all was good! Of course, my DW had no issues with hers.
Now I had read earlier on CC that sometimes the battery dies, so I tested it again when we got to our cabin. Access Denied! So after we verified my DW could still use hers to get into our cabin, I was off to Guest Services. And yup, that’s what is was. Found out my medallion was created on Apr 19, a week before I picked it up at the port. So it lasted about 23 days. It will be interesting to see if my DW’s will last the rest of the cruise. BTW while I was standing there, another person showed up with the same issue.
So if this happens to you, not to worry. Just pop down to GS and get a new medallion. Easy peasy!
We were on the Sky Princess for 29 glorious days...pre pandemic, of course. The medallion lasted the entire trip (Mediterranean n transatlantic. Now they reside as lovely fridge magnets. So..guess it all depends...

You’re going to have a great time. I will also mention, for what it’s worth, we have eaten dinner every night in the CC section of the Coral MDR except for one and the food has been quite tasty. But more importantly, we have not had any heartburn this entire cruise which is a big thumbs up from our perspective. 😁
Hi Ken. We recall the champagne waterfall evening...is this still being done? And the daily high tea? Can't remember what's in the mini fridge? We're elite..is there a cocktail party? So many happy recollections.. and we know that things have changed. We live in south Florida..and covid is somewhat on an uptick. Naturally we are concerned that Princess is doing all they can. As for the food...good to know it's agreeable. That's such a delightful and important part of cruising. Last cruise in November was on Celebrity...so much salt...such swollen ankles... Hoping this chef had a bit more restraint as far as sodium is concerned. Fun "talking" to you. Julian n Joan

The ship has been quite comfortable with regards to temperature. But I will say International Cafe has had some awesome lunch offerings!!
Thanks so much. We were on the CP 3+ years ago..sailing from Florida to Quebec. We had a terrific time and look forward to sailing again. Regards.

We will be on the CP in a few weeks. How is the temp on the ship? Sometimes we've found that the ships are kept very cool. Also, how is the food. Anything memorable?? Thanks so much.

The ship is the Infinity. So we won't schedule a specialty restaurant for night 6. Is the other chic night on 2 or 3. We were on the equinox in November and not impressed with the dining room at all. So looking to remedy that in June with the specialties. Been on the Edge..food was superior.
-
On a 7 night cruise...What 2 nights does the main diningroom serve the best menu...lobster...beef wellington? We ordered the 3 night package but want to use it on the lesser nights.

We did not purchase insurance. First time we haven't done that and I'm not sure where my brain was. This is very helpful information. We would be very happy with FCC for what we paid. We have got another cruise picked out for the fall. Thanks for the information!
Everything we were entitled to came back to our credit card within a couple of days. About 4 days later we could see all credits and print them out, on the Princess website under our account.

Hi, we are thinking about canceling our cruise scheduled for February 20. Did you cancel with a representative? I am not sure I understand their cancellation policy. I appreciate any information you have.
We cancelled with a princess rep over the phone. The least complicated way is to cancel when the cruise is more than 30 days away. If you wait then the princess insurance plan comes into play.. if you have one. At that point you will lose the money you paid for the insurance policy because you are actually using it. Also the cancel for any reason clause in the policy may have financial limitations. If you cancel before the 30 window the cost of the insurance is refunded to you in the form of future credit. If you don't have insurance, and cancel after the 30 day opportunity...most will be lost unless you test positive for covid. Then you may get a cash refund. I have to tell you...a weight was lifted after we cancelled. This is just not the time for us. Good luck whatever you decide.

Gibralter weather is chancy. We have been there 3 times...and only once was the weather nice. It can be windy and rainy so it is good you are taking an excursion. The monkeys are fabulous. We have walked back to the ship on the only one nice weather day. You can take the shuttle...or just ask your driver to bring you back to the ship. Enjoy.

Did you get the refund on ins? I was told it was non refundable by my TA. Hmmm
No paperwork yet but if its cruise with confidence...the insurance was not used. I was told by Princess that it is refundable..but not if you go thru the insurance for a refund or for fcc. So we opted to not wait and canceled outside the 30 days. Sounds logical

We cancelled just outside the 30 day requirement using cruise with confidence vs our Princess insurance. Reason being...cruise with confidence refunds the insurance...while the other actually utilizes the insurance so no refund.

I've never received documentation on a cancellation, but we've never canceled much either. Our March 2020 that Princess had to cancel just showed up in our online accounts. As NavArch4 said, that will have an ID# and a sail by date. It took about a week to show up there.
Thanks. Good to know it took a little time. Nothing is there today.

We cancelled our February cruises yesterday. How soon should we receive documentation that shows our FCC? When can it be used? It's as if our bookings have fallen nto the abyss. Appreciate hearing what the experience of others has been.

There should be some suggested voluntary procedure. Probably they don't want to know.
