I'm told things will go much faster if you check in online and then print and bring your e-docs (when they are ready).

Can you buy it in 12-pack cans and take it on with you? We've taken soda (not seltzer) on with us on previous cruises. Taped a room tag to it, did not tape the ends so they could see we had not opened it, and it appeared outside our room with luggage. Saves having to buy the soda package!
This is what we are doing. Went to the store and picked up our seltzer cases tonight.

Don't worry, I am fairly certain you can find something to occupy your time while on honeymoon! ;)
Yes, lots of "napping". :eek::D

Just got the news, they are safely docked in Bermuda now. The showed a photo of the Dawn, she looked wonderful!
I watched her and the Grandeur pull into port. People on the ship were cheering - it was a great thing to see and hear!
-
Earlier reports said that 90% of the island was without power. Hopefully that has changed now. For those of you who have sailed on the Dawn to Bermuda you may have seen the catamaran Rising Sun. A reporter said that it had been washed up on the rocks and then off onto Harbor Road.
I too saw the ambulance. Hopefully the worst is over for all of these folks and they can relax and enjoy their trips.
We are supposed to go on the Rising Son in 2 weeks. :( Disappointed as it looked like an awesome excursion.

Both ships are in now, but I just saw an ambulance driving away from the Dawn with lights flashing.
Prayers for the sick one, and wishing a full and speedy recovery.
I could hear the sirens but didn't see if it was police or ambulance. I hope whoever is injured/sick is okay. Must have been extra scary for them and their loved ones as the ships had to circle for hours today.

Yeah I know....freaked out just thinking about it
I have my eye open for Gonzalo now :mad:
Hoping and praying we aren't affected!! :(

Going there on the Dawn next Friday 10/17, think that there is another hurricane on the way!
Yes, there is potential for another to hit. :(
-
TS Fay is now Hurricane Fay...
Can you imagine the damage she could have inflicted to the Island if she had the force she has now....:(
Wow!! If that had happened, I'm not so sure we'd be going to Bermuda in a couple of weeks Sebas!

Happily both ships are now in port. I'm sure that the passengers are relieved that they won't be bouncing around tonight.
You could hear pax of the Dawn cheering as they pulled into port. Even though the island is poorly damaged, I'm sure they are happy to have arrived.
-
Grandeur pax are watching football as they dock. Love this dock cam! :D
-
Glad to see they are moving the cam with the ship now. May have been a delay on my end.
-
Grandeur is now in view on the doc cam. Or was! Hopefully the move the cam along with the ship, I've been wanting to see one dock.

Might do some Christmas shopping while there. Will check out the pottery and glass shops as well as the rum cake shop. I assume the rum cake will last until Christmas (for gifts)? As long as I don't eat it first...lol
That's my plan too!

But has NCL put out anything yet to tell family members/friends of passengers what is happening? I don't see anything on NCL.com at this point.
I was wondering about this myself!
-
After watching the port cam before bed last night, I had a dream that the Dawn was pulling into port in this storm. I hope they delay quite a bit as it doesn't look good there right now.

Update - I called and spoke to NCL Rep. They said that on their screen they show all my correct amenities but I told them my screen only shows Choc Covered Strawberries. She assured me that she sees my original amenities and that it may just be a small glitch. BTW - I was her first call regarding this matter.
All of our codes except strawberries disappeared too! Glad to know it's just a glitch!

I searched the viva vino and got prices etc. Now, if we buy 4 bottles to start and decide we want to buy another 4, can we do that or do they all have to be purchased at the same time? Thanks again!
Yes, you can buy another package later in the cruise. :)
-
My DH and I would each get at least one card, if not 2. I guess the French press may be our backup.

Congratulations!! Will have to take our chances in the raffle on the Dawn in 40 days!!

I purchased "Nature's Bounty" Ginger Root 550 mg. :) Good luck!! Hope it works for you!
Thank you so much!

I get very sick on cruises and amusement rides. I have tried Bonine but even though they are non drowsy I find that they make me sleepy. I tried ginger pills at Islands of Adventures Harry Potter ride which I had ridden before and was sick for hours after and was stunned at how I could ride the ride with my eyes open and no sickness! So I just went on the POA and took 1 ginger pill with food 3 x a day........(I believe this was what the package recommended). I had no problems all week! I started the pills when I got on the ship and stopped when I got home. (I thought I would keep it going while on my flight home just in case that ride got bumpy as it was kind of bumpy going in to Maui and I was a little sick!) I bought my ginger pills at Walgreens. I also bought some ginger gum but never ended up using it.
I also get very sick on any type of motion, especially cruises. Did you take ginger vitamins or pills sold with the motion sickness medicine? Any idea the brand? I'm willing to try anything!

On NCL's website, periodically, a link pops-up to "chat with an avid cruiser". It displays a woman smiling at the camera while holding onto her sunhat. Is NCL aware that the ship in the background behind is a Royal Caribbean vessel?
Probably not! Now I'm trying to get it to come up so I can see.

I make a list of things that I'm worried I'll forget or are very important. As I purchase items for the cruise, I'll put things into a canvas bag and leave it in my closet. I'll pull out the suitcases about a week before and start packing.
I don't make a clothes list until closer to the cruise date. I'll make a clothes list for myself and one for my husband since I pack for both of us and my husband is not the best packer!
This year when we put our summer clothes into storage, we'll put our "must pack" items on the spare bed so we don't need to put them away only to take them out a few weeks later.
