  1. Hi all,

We are thinking of booking a Catamaran snorkelling trip outside of thr cruise line while we are docked in Bermuda - same trip, just cheaper. Anyone have any reccommendations on who to book? There seem to be a few.

I contacted Rising Son Catamaran this weekend and asked about a refund policy if the ship is delayed or re-routed due to weather. They responded quite quickly and recommended to book through the cruise line as it's only a few dollars more (works out to only $15 total additional for my husband and I) to avoid the hassle in the event of a delay/re-route. You could also just book when you arrive at the dockyard if you don't have a specific day or time you want to go. We want to go on Sunday since not much else will be going on, so I'll be pre-booking. I'm sure whoever you go with, the snorkeling will be amazing!!

  2. We have used ginger pills in the past during cruises to avoid seasickness. We do remember starting to take them 10 days prior to the cruise, what we can't remember is if you take 1 or 2 a day. Does anyone know?

    Thanks

I don't know, but I'd love to know what ginger pills you take. I get horrid seasickness. Funny since cruising is my favorite way to travel! We are cruising in Oct and I'd love to get something to try out beforehand.

  3. No, corkage fee only applies to wine brought onboard by you to offset the lost revenue. We get the viva vino package all the time since we always have to fly in, just makes it easier and more convenient. Once the package is purchased you can bring it with you anytime, anywhere (a bottle or glass, not the whole package). ;)

    Enjoy

PS: The package can only be purchased once onboard at any bar and the Chef's table at Guest Services.

Thank you!! I told my husband about it and he's excited for it.

  4. Armen/Armin? was the cruise director. We really go on vacation for the peace and quiet, so I have no impression of him.

Suspend your disbelief with the magic of world class thrillusionist David DaVinci, as he introduces you to his augmented reality. In this production, fiction is real, and deception is enjoyed. Prepare to be mystified by mind boggling illusions and jaw dropping magic, seamlessly fused with exotic parrots that materialize from thin air and perform their own artful demonstrations of dexterity. You'll laugh, you'll cheer, your jaw will hit the floor as David DaVinci presents his interpretation of the age old art of magic and illusions.

My coworkers went on the 7/4 sailing and said to make sure you don't sit in the balcony for these type shows because you are able to see how it's all done. Unless that's something you'd like to see that is!

  5. I just learned of the wine packages earlier today. My husband and I are big wine people (I used to direct sell wines for small boutique vineyards from around the world) and this sounds like it's right up our alley. I just want to make sure I'm understanding it correctly. You pay the package price plus 15% gratuity, that part is clear. But are you responsible for a corkage fee if you bring a bottle to a restaurant for dinner? Could I bring an opened bottle with me to dinner? Thanks in advance!
