  1. We just disembarked at Port Canaveral a couple of weeks ago with 5 ships in port. I did not find the port area to be particularly congested compared to Miami or Port Everglades.

Thank you! It’s been a few years since we sailed from there.

  2. If you are at terminal 1 then walk to the right and he can pick you in front of Grills restaurant.

Otherwise, do not bother with getting a ride somewhere. Just wait for him outside your terminal.

Thanks so much! That’s a big help!

  3. My husband will be driving from the gulf coast to pick me up at Port Canaveral. I am platinum and can do the earliest self disembarkation. I seem to remember it is very congested right at the port. Would it be easiest (especially finding each other) if I took a taxi to somewhere nearby and had him meet me there? If so, recommendations!? Thanks!

  4. My friend and I will be in the Triumph, doing btb 4 and 5 day trip. We don't want to eat in the dining room--this is a purely relaxation/rest trip. I really liked the crab ravioli on the Paradise in the mdr. I have searched and cannot find it...is that served on the buffet line? Thanks for any help!

  5. We flew in yesterday for our cruise leaving today on the Carnival Magic. We flew in to Hobby airport and had a car service (Ladybird) pick us up and take us to Harbor House. We paid $113 total using hotels.com

We are right next to the pier. Here is a picture of the ship from our hotel room this morning

Could you walk to the port? Or are there lots of ins/outs/arounds that would make that a problem?

  6. When I had done the research I was looking into doing Caveman. I know that was the person that was there close to us and I kept seeing everywhere when we were there and watched his interaction with the customers. But since we didn't go with him, of course I can't recommend him from any experiences. I just know that's who I had thought about going with. :) I believe he gets 5 stars on TA as well with a lot of good reviews.

Mitsugirly we booked with Caveman last June and it was the highlight of our trip! He went out of his way to make our day special. It was just him, my husband, and me. I can't say enough complimentary things about him --- you won't be disappointed!

  7. I smashed my big toe into a cast-iron kettle. Totally klutz move. I knew it hurt something awful and the nail felt loose, but I just thought it was bruised. Went for pedi and when she took off my dark coral polish, it was very discolored under the nail --- black and purple. She said it would probably just fall off but she made it pretty for now...She said not to go to have it removed because it would damage it in some way. I don't want it to fall off because it would look horrendous I'm sure! Have a cruise booked and don't want to have to wear a bandaid over my toe the whole trip! :) As of now it is still attached, just very loose and sore. Suggestions? I don't want to mess it up forever, but if it does come off, how can I make it look not so horrid???

  8. I was only brave enough to go for the half day. If you are on Carnival at least, and those are the times from Carnival, that is ship time. For example, we debarked starting at 8:00 SHIP time, which was 7:00 BELIZE time. That was fine, as that gave us an hour to tender over --- it's maybe 15 min or so? --- and walk to San Pedro Water Taxi -- maybe 5 minutes. Their first water taxi to Caye Caulker is at 8:00 BELIZE time. Make sure you confirm times; Belize is sometimes the same as US Central time, but because they don't observe Daylight Saving Time, it was an hour off. I just didn't want to have to worry about getting there and doing a full day tour and making the water taxi back and then the ship's tender.... it was stressless for us!

  9. I think it is a flat $200 for the half-day for up to 6 people. In other words, it costs the same for 6 as it does for 2. So yes, your husband can go along and just enjoy the ride and scenery! Caveman puts food in the water and the rays and nurse sharks come in droves --- we just climbed down the ladder and were surrounded by many of both! Caveman did not get out of the boat at this location, but that worked fine! He then moved the boat nearer the reef and he guided my husband to see many things --- I stayed in the boat for this part. I had back surgery in December and knew I'd slow them down.

  10. goLC - Thank you for sharing your Caveman review - sounds great and exactly what we are looking for. How did you book the tour and how much did he charge?

His email is cadleh@yahoo.com. His facebook is Caveman Snorkeling Tours Caye Caulker --- lots of nice pics there. Also on tripadvisor; #1 on Caye Caulker. It was $200 for a half day --- for 1 to 6 people, so the per person charge will vary. It was worth $100 per person for the two of us; having his expertise with just the two of us was phenomenal! He always answered my emails promptly because I had a zillion questions, LOL. He will tailor the day to suit your needs.

  11. May 29, 2012, I smoked my last regular cigarette after 20+ years. On May 30th, I started e-cigs WITH nicotine. By October of that year, I was down to the smallest amount of nicotine. In the spring of 2013, I used my e-cigs with NO NICOTINE. By December, I stopped the e-cigs altogether. I was able to vape in a car and in my inside cabins --- my non-smoking friends/spouse couldn't tell if I was vaping or not. I can't imagine anything in the vapor containing any more pollution than that which is emitted by the ship itself. I think some people just like to b*tch. About everything. I can't imagine it being a problem on a balcony, especially the e-cigs. I know I could not have stopped smoking without them.

  12. Perfect in every way and oh so easy! Got off the ship, walked a very short distance to the water taxi. Easily made the Belize-time 8:00 (tender to mainland was 1 hr earlier.) It helped relieve stress to already have tix ahead of time. About 30-40 minute water taxi ride to Caye Caulker. Caveman met us when we docked and we went to his place to get equipment. He was so pleasant and interesting! Snorkeled out by sharks/rays for 30 minutes or so, then went closer to the reef. He escorted my husband here --- I knew I would hold them back... Then we did drift-snorkeling with his boat. Took us through the split for feeding the tarpons and he found us a sea horse, too! Took the water taxi back to Belize and had plenty of time to shop and not be rushed. Perfect day and would do it again in a heartbeat!

  13. We will take the San Pedro Express water taxi to Caye Caulker. I've already purchased the tickets for that online, so no standing in line for that. 45 minute water taxi ride to CC. He said since we booked as private, we will start whenever we arrive!

  14. Not sterling silver but I don't think it looks cheap. I've probably only got a couple of outfits that I will wear it with, but I think it's different looking and it does lay fine on my wrist. Looks cute with a white tank and navy shorts. It was free shipping when i ordered.
