  1. GoLC,

Can you tell me the price for the private tour with ivar? We may just do that as we really want to go. Thanks for everyone's help!!

Mine wasn't with Ivar; ours is with Caveman Snorkel Tours on Caye Caulker. He has a facebook page with his contact information, plus there are many great reviews on tripadvisor. It is $200 for 3 hours for 1-4 people, $50 for each additional for a private tour.

  2. I booked directly with Caveman Snorkeling Tours, Caye Caulker --- that's his fb page. Found it on tripadvisor. We will take the water taxi to Caye Caulker and have booked a 3 hour private tour with him, just for my husband and me. I'm so excited! It is $200 for 3 hours for 1-4 people. All of the reviews were great! We will be there 2 weeks from tomorrow!

  3. I am excited --- we have booked a 3 hour snorkel with Caveman on Caye Caulker; look him up on Tripadvisor or his facebook page.

**Half Day Private Tour (3 hours - 3 Locations: Shark Ray Alley, Coral Gardens, South Channel. )

    - Snorkeling gear, fruit and water provided.

    - Price for Regular: $35.00USD per person

    - Price for Private: $200.00USD for a maximum of 4 people; price is then increased by $50.00USD for additional person added.

    - In your case if Private Tour, Price: $100.00USD per person - 2 people.

We will take the water taxi to Caye Caulker and he said he will be ready whichever taxi we get on -- hoping for the 9:00 ship time one, which will be 8:00 in Belize. Planning on the 1:30 taxi back to port (will be 2:30 ship time) but we are there until 5 so I think we are good to go!!! It will just be my husband and me, so looking forward to no crowds!!

  4. GoLC--does seaduced take cruise ship passengers? I sent them an email but since it is a holiday weekend I doubt they answer til Tuesday. It's more important for hubby to see pretty fish and coral than to see the sharks. (Already did rays in cayman). We are doing a beach day in coz so I don't want just another beach day in belize which is why I am hesitant of goffs.

We are doing a beach day in Cozumel, also -- Sanchos, which I love. So I'm pretty much committed to Belize being great snorkeling. I have emailed seaduced as well, but no response yet. May try again on Tuesday. I THINK I found seaduced on tripadvisor; so I'm not 100% sure they take cruisers, but I would think they would!

  5. Masonsmom, I'm in the same shape. We want to do the Shark Ray Alley and Hol Chan and Caye Caulker --- but I'm so afraid of missing the last tender back to our ship. I don't want to be stressed the whole time! :) I've looked at ecotoursbelize and seaducedbybelize --- both are dot com. I had also thought about just doing Goffs, but my husband really wants to do the other --- what a dilemma!

  6. A friend and I are doing a "quickie" back to back - 4/3 on Sensation in October. I have sent an email to the "contact us" on the Port of Canaveral site, but received no response. IF we use the port parking, when you drive in, they have always (at other ports) charged for however long that cruise is. We will not be going back to get in our car between cruises, obviously. Will we pay for both trips at once? Also, the way PC charges (the "double dipping" by charging both incoming and outgoing cruisers a full day) - we would wind up paying $30 for the turnaround day, right? Craziness! Just trying to figure out what to do!

  7. My friend/cabinmate who is in her late 50's got a letter from security on boarding evening (Victory, October 2011.) She had to report to their offices; it was about her fan, which she had taken in her checked luggage every cruise. It's small, not much bigger than my outstretched hand. She said they were very nice but they told her fans were not allowed. It was confiscated and she was mortified!

  8. I bought packing folders for our cruise and I LOVED THEM! I'm a daily ironer. I ironed everything, folded on the enclosed "board" and placed in folders. I didn't need my Downy Wrinkle Release nor my travel steamer - everything came out PERFECT! Now, I didn't pack anything like linen, but I was thrilled with the results. I also used cubes to jam underwear, pajamas, swimsuits in; they were great as far as organization goes.

  9. Gosh, that jewelry is beautiful! Is it only available at Uvas or can we find it elsewhere? We're planning to do some excursion then shop... would love to know where I could find jewelry like those pictured!
