August will be our the first cruise with both minis, thanks to an upgrade. We also have the plus package for when out and about on the ship. I foresee a lot of restroom visits on that trip.

One set-up will be in the cabin. You have to phone to request the second set-up.

@Ocean Mouse Be sure to check out the cheese selections at the International Cafe on deck 5 (most ships). I recall that they often have a selection of cheeses in the evenings. Enjoy your first Princess cruise!

On our December cruise on Caribbean Princess they no longer had the evening cheese selection in the International Cafe

  3. Caribbean Princess is our favorite ship. We have been on her numerous times.  There have been isolated issues which Princess always compensated us for and which we laughed off as a good story to tell when we got home (toilet not working overnight, cabin flooded and had to move to another cabin). You have to not sweat the small stuff, laugh it off, and enjoy your cruise.

  4. I finally gave in and bought Cadence containers. They are expensive but they do not leak and since you fill them with your own products you don't have to pay for travel size products.  I looked at my sample size serum and it is .5 oz, approximately the same size as the smallest Cadence container, but the sample size was twice as big because it has a pump top. On my last cruise, my serum and moisteriser were in the 56 size Cadence containers and they each lasted for about 10 days. I have purchased the larger containers for hair products and longer trips. It is an investment but I think it is well worth it for frequent travelers.

  5. We were in this lounge in Fort Lauderdale before our April 22 cruise that was only the 5th week it was open.  It is for suite and reserve class passengers and it is located in the Princess corporate building  1600 SE 17th Street.  They had bagels, cream cheese, lox and all the trimmings, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, good pastries, coffee, soda, water, etc.  They checked you in in the lounge so when they transported you to the port they were able to escort us directly through the security line and onto the ship.  It was a great experience.

Does your schedule allow time to take the train? It runs twice a day (day or overnight) and costs ~A$140 first class (and saves airport transfers). Baggage limit 2 x 20kg. https://transportnsw.info/regional/regional-train-coach-facilities/xpt-regional-trains

Note that I've not done it myself. I'm booked to take it in March out to Sydney for a Celebrity cruise then home afterwards.

We are considering the train but I hate to waste an entire day in transit unless the scenery makes it worthwhile.

  7. We will be spending a few days in Sydney then flying to Melbourne for our round-trip cruise from Melbourne.  It appears that the airlines have very restrictive baggage allowances.  Their definition of a personal item is way smaller than what a US airline allows.  This would mean checking additional bags. Has anyone flown this route and what has your experience been re luggage,

Silly girl, pizza does not come from Italy, its strictly a New York thing.  Oh, and if anyone from Chicago butts in here, they dont know what they are talking about.

I totally agree with you.  BTW, we just moved to Florida from Upper St Clair and we spend our summers in Bethel Park.

No idea regarding Royal Caribbean but the pizza in Alfredo's is a different class than Slice. The pizza in Alfredo's reminded me of the excellent pizza that I have had in Italy.

We love the pizza at Slice and hate the pizza from Alfredo's.  Everyone's taste is different.  That is why we are given choices. BTW, the worse pizza I ever had was in Pisa.

Stupid Baked Alaska Parade with the napkin waving. Art auctions and the attendant paper advertisements. EFFY and their paper advertisements. "Shopping Hosts". Port photo ops with stupid costumes - also the same thing outside the dining rooms. Pushy photographers in the dining room. HEARING SWEET CAROLINE EVER AGAIN!!! (There is no part of the song that actually includes, "so good, so good, so good". GAH!!!)

I cover my ears and walk out of the room whenever I hear "Sweet Caroline".😁
