Seven Seas Voyager BRILLIANT by Kf3229

This was our first cruise and, having undertaken extensive research, booked RSS with the USP of Holy Land tours included. We travelled business class from LHR on Virgin, which was the worse business cabin we have ever experienced. Dubai hotel, JW Marriott Marquis, was excellent. Embarkation was very well managed and lunch on the pool deck was a wonderful start to our trip. Continue reading... BRILLIANT

Thomson Dream 1st cruise brilliant by Ann North lanarkshire

This was our first cruise. Had read some of the reviews of the Thomson Dream and they seemed to differ between good and bad, so had an open mind. I was pleasantly surprised the cabin 5167 was spotless and bigger than I imagined. Yes the shower cubicle is small, but you are on a ship not a hotel. So wasn't a problem for us. Our cabin was kept clean by our steward called Budi. Seemed to know when you were out in order to clean or turn bed down for the night. He was lovely very friendly when we did see him. Something for everyone and I can't imagine anyway not finding something they liked. Continue reading... 1st cruise brilliant

Anthem of the Seas Amazing Anthem of the Seas by Trixie21

Background - This is only the second cruise for my wife and I ( first was 2 years ago on norweigan epic) - this time we travelled with my wifes parents. We are in our 40's and they are in their 70's (but young at heart!!). I booked this cruise about a year ago and have been following the progress of anthem until her launch and since she started cruising with interest. The ports (canary islands , madeira ,lisbon , la coruna and vigo ) appealed to us and the lure of a brand new ship sealed the deal! Continue reading... Amazing Anthem of the Seas

Britannia Don't let the negative views scare you by Gingerjulie26

We have just returned from a weeks cruise on Britannia to the Norwegian Fljords. Prior to our cruise we spent time reading through countless reviews about how awful the ship is, which made us feeling apprehensive and worried our holiday would be a disaster. How wrong were we? o us, the ship was impressive. Large, stylish and elegant. Our cabin was more than sufficient for our needs as we didn't spend much time in it. The bed is very comfortable! Yes, the balcony is quite small but as we were in the Norwegian fjords we didn't do much sun bathing on it. Great selection of bars and resturants onboard, evening entertainment of a good standard. Day time entertainment programme needs some improvement. Continue reading... Don't let the negative views scare you

Seven Seas Navigator Cruise of Good Fortune by goodwinmacc

We've recently returned from a fascinating cruise to Alaska. A pity the cruise didn't start in the UK because we're not at all fond of flying. We first flew to San Francisco, and were pleased that our package with Regent Seven Seas included an upgrade to Premium Economy on the long 11 hour flight. Two nights in SF gave us the opportunity to visit Alcatraz. Because it's hugely popular, we would recommend that any readers here who are contemplating a visit should book as we did online, a good month or so before you travel. We managed a fairly early ferry across to the island, and the excellent organisation there meant that we were really not aware of crowding most of the time. Worth every dime! Continue reading... MSC Preziosa THE MOST AMAZING HOLIDAY by Two Jerrys

This was our first cruise so I did a lot of research before travelling. We decided to book with MSC as the route appealed to us and they were offering free flights with our package. Having now completed the cruise I am amazed at the petty things that people critise MSC for as our experience was so positive. We had one set back before we traveled. We requested 1st dining but were assigned 2nd and on a waiting list for 1st. Our travel agent emailed MSC and this was sorted out by the time we arrived in Genoa. Transfer from the airport was smooth and embarkation quick and friendly. Our cases were outside our cabin within the hour. The MSC Prezosia is an absolutely stunning ship. Continue reading... 3. If Cruise Critics is so worried about the influx of new members submitting reviews, perhaps they should ignore them and just post what they want.
    We aren't worried. :)

I did appreciate that CC posted the information that each ship review is looked over by them.
Yes, by a real person. No automation here.

Don't hesitate to be in touch with us if you ever question something you see posted on the site.

  4. It was Viking River who sent me a request to complete a review for a river cruise that put me in touch with the growing Viking Oceans community before our cruise this year.
I don't know if they asked for Viking Ocean but I have a feeling that's why we have so many new members submitting reviews.
I would never say Viking doesn't care about people's opinions but their marketing people have far more to do than write bogus reviews.
I'd agree with this. Viking isn't huge but if they put out an inferior product, it would take a lot of work to counterbalance the negative reviews they would get. I think in the long run, the reviews will balance out and it will be easy to get a full picture of how the experience was.

It is not only perfectly reasonable to be cautious about such reviews, it is prudent. By now it is old and tired advice to be very skeptical of reviews from users who have no posts and no other reviews -- whether they are good reviews or bad reviews, whether we are looking at TripAdvisor, Yelp, Amazon, CruiseCritic, or wherever. This doesn't mean that all such reviews are plants or fake. It means they *could* be and one should be cautious about making purchasing decisions based on such reviews.
    Excellent advice!
  5. Hi Cruisers! There has been an increase in reviews for Viking Star and I have looked at every one of them before publication. I've read critical comments and positive comments. We also have reviews for Viking Star that are awaiting some edits by the reviewer that will also add to the overall picture of these first few cruises.

It's not uncommon for a cruise line to ask their cruisers to submit reviews. That doesn't mean they're planted. It just means that a smaller line trying to get the word out about their product is asking their passengers to spread the word especially if they had a good time. A lot of the time their passengers are new to our site and they register in order to submit the review. These are all things we run into in the review process. But please know that Cruise Critic does not automate the member review process and every review you see on the site has been viewed by a real person that is trained to look for certain things that indicate a review may be fake. Do we get it wrong sometimes? Sure we do because we're human. But in this case, we believe these new reviews are genuine.

Thomson Dream What I expected and more by pole007

I booked this cruise for its itinerary and price ( did a cruise and stay). I can honestly say the only down side was leaving the ship to go to the hotel. My husband has vowed to only go on cruise holidays from now on, reason being how you are treated. The staff made us feel special, nothing was too much. Second visit to the lovely Orion restaurant and the waiter had remembered my drink from my first visit. Our cabin steward Ni Liu was absolutely amazing, polite, friendly and could not do enough for us. We stayed in an outside pulse on deck 9, being smokers it seemed fitting and was a good call. Oceana First Time Cruising by paradisemerton

Just back from a wonderful two week cruise on Oceana to/from Venice via Corfu, Kotor, Naples, MonteCarlo, Livorno, Genoa, Civitavecchia and of course Venice. Overall highly impressed with the ship, not too big, very clean, wonderfully friendly and efficient staff and crew. Cabin steward, restaurant and bar staff were all keen to help and provide excellent service with a very warm and ready smile. Plenty of places to sit on deck, easy to order food and drinks from frequently passing staff. The Horizon Grill dinner, at a supplement, was excellent. Continue reading... First Time Cruising

  7. I have not booked it yet, but I think I will through that website. We are "almost" 60, (don't want to be reminded) and have our adopted 5 year old grandson who we have had since age 1. Not cruised since we got him but time to break him in! Cannot wait, he will have a blast! I'm Donna, so if you see older looking people with a little kid, that's us :D

we are doing the day pass/buffet/and alcohol for us, I think, just buffet for him, I think..lol he don't eat much, so trying to decide.

I'm Cecilia. Jason and I are mid 40's. Our boys are 6 and 9. Maybe we'll see you there!

We were just there in May. We booked thru their website but saw others doing it at the entrance. We also were told by our cab driver that you can get a deal through them. I can't remember the exact pricing but it was a few dollars less than what we paid in advance. I will say that we opted against the buffet because we had read it wasn't that great. We ordered right on the beach from a menu. If you search on here, mitsugirly has a review and pic of their menu. Prices weren't bad. When we went there were only 2 ships in port so it wasn't crowded at all. The water park was closed for some reason so that was a disappointment for my son but we still had fun. They play various games on the beach for free shirts, drinks, etc. My son had lots of fun playing on the water toys! Get there early as possible if there are lots of ships in port when you are going.
Thanks for this information! It's so helpful. I read Mistygurl's review. I was glued to it! There are only two ships in port when we're there too. I'm getting so excited. It's very soon.

Anthem of the Seas Anthem of the Seas really does rock! by Clio1610

Let me start by saying that these are our thoughts & observations – mine, Hub’s & our 18yr old Son ! We parked in Blue Car Park, walked across the road into the Terminal and were met by rows of check-in staff in Blue tops all holding tablets and we were checked in, through Security & Onboard all in 10 mins ! First impression ? WOW – Just WOW !!! Met with a glass of Champers & chance to have a wander and a first look along the Royal Esplanade. Very similar to the Royal Promenade, just smaller. As we boarded just after 11am (we were in Group A) we decided to take as many photos & film as much as we could straightaway, so we started at the top on Deck 16 and worked our way down... Ventura First Time Cruising by Mighty_muzzo

We stayed on the Ventura so just thought I would write a review since we were massively impressed with our first time cruising, so here are some tips: When it comes to Gratuities(Tips) you automatically pay a fee a day, we took this off, you just go to the reception and ask to have them removed, that way you can tip who you want to tip throughout your cruise, we did this and ended up tipping more but that way we knew the staff got them. When you arrive go straight to the Waterside Café or Beachside all on deck 15 as you can have food straight away, especially if you had been waiting a long time to Embark. Continue reading... Norwegian Jade Great Cruise with NCL by JD Owl

This was our 9th cruise but the first time with NCL so we can speak with a bit of knowledge. Booked the cruise a few weeks ago and then read all the negative reviews which made us apprehensive to say the least. Having now experienced the cruise i'm delighted that I didnt read the reviews before we booked. I'm totally flabbergasted by some of the complaints that you read about the ship/NCL. The overall quality of service was very good and the staff were friendly and attentive. The embarkation process was painfree although we did book a suite so we got the priority boarding. 9. We are going here on this date too!
We'll see you there then! Did you book through that site? I didn't have time today to look but this is for sure what we want to do. I was hesitant about booking ahead of time in case the weather is bad or we miss the port. I'd hate to be out but it looks like that site is a good option.

Traveling is me, my husband, two boys age almost 7 and almost 10. I have to say almost because they remind me every time! Husband and I are mid 40's. I'm Cecilia.

  10. I found out not too long ago that they have an "approved" list of agencies you can book with...somewhere on this site but I have never looked.

I guess I didn't realize you could get deals and OBC by using them or that cc got a kick back?

Cruise Critic does not sell travel at all. As noted, we are part of the TripAdvisor Media group and there are other sites under the TAMG umbrella that do sell travel but Cruise Critic does not and we don't allow the discussion of specific travel agency sites, including any that we have an affiliation to.

We sell advertising to many agencies but that is not an endorsement of that agency. And we don't approve or disapprove of any agency.

If you have any other questions, please send them to the community manager at community@cruisecritic.com.

  11. Since my two reviews are causing concern about the total "loved it" score, I just wanted to say that I did not review twice on purpose. The reviews are not identical and were not "entered twice". I submitted a review and when it did not appear for a week, I supposed it did not meet the guidelines since it was copied from my journal and had photos attached. Therefore I made a brief recap and submitted a new one, which was quick and easy to read. A few days later my first review was published without photos, and later my second one. I felt that information contained in both reviews was useful, and elected to keep them, knowing that as more reviews are submitted the votes I got would become less of a factor in the score.
Your first review was published 3 1/2 days after submission and the second was 2 1/2 days after submission. We've removed the second review. As noted in the e mail we sent to you after submitting the first review, member reviews are published in the order in which they are received by a real person during normal business hours. You will receive a second e mail when the review is processed. You do not need to submit the review again.

    Thanks for the review.

  12. We're in Cozumel on June 30 and want to go to Playa Mia. We want to take a cab and pay in person the day of. We can book it ahead of time through the Playa Mia site but we'd rather wait and see if the weather is good, everyone still wants to go, etc. then pay when we show up. Does anyone know if we can do it that way? Seems like we can but Cruise Critic members know everything. :)

Celebrity Equinox Our first time on celebrity ... It won't be our last by seapals2

Having cruised many times with Princess, P&O, Cunard and a few with Royal Caribbean we wondered how Celebrity would compare. As it turned out .. Very well indeed. Embarkation was extremely slick and lunch once onboard was our first taste of the fantastic buffet quality of food. We ate at an outside terrace table and had our first glass of classic package wine a very nice chilled prosecco and clinked our glasses in anticipation of a great cruise. The cabin (Aqua class) was ready early and by 2pm we had unpacked and were ready to explore. Finding room in the double wardrobe was our first test but with a little careful reorganising we managed to fit in all our clothes. Continue reading... Our first time on celebrity ... Ventura Amazing Value For Money! by Merlinslaney

Not having sailed with P & O for a few years, and reading some very negative reviews from recent cruisers, we were not sure what to expect on this week long cruise. To start with, the embarkation was fast and efficient, we were onboard within half an hour of arriving at the port terminal. Naturally everyone heads to the buffet restaurant and it is obviously crowded, to be expected. The first night's dining was superb, followed by excellent entertainment by P & O's Headliners troupe. Each day we commented on how everything actually seemed to have improved since we last sailed with P & O, especially the entertainment, but also the food and friendliness of the crew wherever we went on the ship. So we were surprised and a little perplexed to hear other passengers moaning about the entertainment, and also the unfriendliness of some of the waiters. Continue reading... Anthem of the Seas Anthem of the Seas - Truly a WOW! by Jb-lhr

We have just returned from a 3-day ‘taster cruise’ on the brand new Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas! If you’ve seen any of the advertising, the word ‘WOW’ features heavily. We can honestly report that it is an apt description of the incredible ship, its features and the service onboard. We had completed the online checkin process at home (including ‘uploading’ a photo) and printed our SetSail Passes before arriving at Southampton. At the dock, someone with a tablet computer completed the process in under 3 minutes and we proceeded to Security, from where we were asked to sit for a few minutes (after being informed the disembarking guests had all gone and the ship would be ready for boarding shortly – this was 10:30am). We boarded at about 10:45 and were immediately handed a glass of ‘bubbly’. Continue reading... Anthem of the Seas - Truly a WOW!

  14. When we were dropped off, our cab driver offered to come back and pick us up in a week. Not being really sure if we should commit to that, we didn't. Once we got off the ship, the taxi stand was right in front of us. Other people around us had prearranged their taxis and after making a phone call were picked up. We stood in line maybe 20 minutes for an available taxi. There did not seem to be an abundance of free taxis. If I knew then, what I know now, I would have prearranged our ride. All in all it worked out just fine, it wasn't horrible.
Thanks! I'm going to look up the taxi companies there and see if I can pre arrange a round trip.
  15. Having never sailed from Galveston before, I worried about the transportation from Hobby to the port. I did a lot of research on the best way to do it. We were six of us, DH, DS, DIL, and 2 grandkids. I was ready to book super shuttle but DS had called a cab company and was assured we could do the trip for under $100. I believe super shuttle would cost $140 one way. The Carnival bus would have cost 210.

After we got our bags, went out to the taxi stand, got an available van, and headed to Galveston. The trip took 45 minutes and cost us $95. We gave him $120 and considered it a deal. We would have tipped any driver the same amount.

I had read a lot on these boards that taxis were by far more expensive. I just wanted to let you know, they were not.

Thanks for this. This is what I've heard too, that a cab is comparable and direct and private. I've been researching all these different shuttles but a cab may be the best way to go.

One question...what about when you returned? Were there ample cabs available to take you back to the airport? Thanks.

Norwegian Jade Rome to Venice April 2015 by swsw

We have just returned from this cruise on the Jade. Our only other cruise experience was 4 days on the Queen Elizabeth. The Jade is not as beautiful a ship as the QE but we were impressed with the Norwegian Cruise Line's organisation. Embarkation and disembarkation at the start and end of the cruise and at all the ports in between, including the tender port at Kotor, was excellent we never had to queue for anything. The free style dining suited us very well and we were able to eat whenever we wanted to. The ship did not feel busy and there was always space/seats wherever we wanted. Continue reading... Britannia A taste of Britain by Biscay Bay

I'm in my mid 40's and have now taken 14 cruises with various other companies. For me a cruise is a time to unwind and relax for a few weeks while seeing a few new sights. Every ship will have it bad points that doesn't cater or seem right for every one but for me I like to take all the good and bad parts and make an average decision. Don't get me wrong here but there were some areas that needed some serious attention but then there were aspects that made up for it. Continue reading... A taste of Britain

Thomson Dream Good value and interesting itinerary. Mexican Medley and Pride of Panama by TruDesborough

We had sailed with Thomson before so knew what to expect. Yes, the Dream is a little tired and we did not much like the Lido deck where the decking itself needed work, but everywhere was clean and the service throughout the ship was excellent. Our flight out on the Dreamliner was very good and the transfer to the boat reasonably efficient. Our cabin was an inside one on deck 7. The large bed made by 2 singles fixed together was extremely comfortable. Continue reading... Good value and interesting itinerary. Mexican Medley and Pride of Panama

Thomson Dream Incredible Ports by cbloom7073

This was my 8th cruise with Thomson but the first outside of the Med. It was a typically Thomson cruise with all the good food, activities and service I have experienced before. We booked the cruise a fortnight before, based on the itinerary, and were not disappointed. The weather was very kind and the sea was calm throughout (although I believe the week before had missed a couple of ports due to high winds). Continue reading... Incredible Ports

Marco Polo Excellent Marco Polo by Benb111

Great cruise around British Isles, helped by excellent, sunny weather apart from Kirkwall. Nice sized ship, around 800 passengers, most aged 70 plus. (Average age way above 60). On board staff excellent, most from Ukraine; restaurant staff and chefs, mainly Indian. Brilliant waiter Kalpit and wine waitress Valentina. Wanted to see the Italian Chapel in Orkney, and signed up to a 'Leisurely Orkney' tour which highlighted the Chapel. Yet we stayed just 20 minutes at the Italian Chapel (in a 3 1/2 hr tour), totally ridiculous. We were bussed in and bussed out and taken to less interesting sites including a tea stop of almost an hour! Continue reading... Excellent Marco Polo

Island Escape The best cruise I have been on by ellie4evva

This was the 3rd cruise i've been on, however it was the first Thomson's Cruise. The other companies I have been with are Princess Cruises and Celebrity Cruises, both of which were more costly than this 'budget cruise'. To start off with the flights and embarkation were well organised and staff were very efficient. The ship looks big, however it is a nice size, there's plenty of space, yet you keep bumping into the same people which is nice. There are plenty of things onboard for all ages, including a couple of lounges, a 'pub', casino, swimming pool, spa, gym and of course 2 inclusive 'self-serve' restaurants. There is a wide range of food provided all day, with a different theme for each day, There is a 'posher' restaurant which serves delicious food with waiter service, for this there is an extra £15 cover charge per person, however I feel that this was worth it for the quality of food and the waiter service. To clarify, Cruise Critic is owned by TripAdvisor however it is run by an independent staff. TripAdvisor is not a travel agency and neither is Cruise Critic. We don't allow any discussion about travel agencies in order to keep the playing field fair. We do have travel agent advertisers but that does not imply an endorsement.

    Norwegian Spirit Fantastic! by Emma24

After having been on a few cruises with various company's, but normally with Royal Caribbean, I was slightly wary about cruising for the first time on the Norwegian Spirit. It was to be the smallest ship I would have been on and I expected it to be a cheap and cheerful cruise with the food not very good. WOW was I wrong! We embarked in Barcelona ready to sail to Morocco, Madeira, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Malaga. My first impressions of the ship were great. All the staff were very friendly in welcoming us on board and the ship was extremely clean. We did our own tour of the ship to check everything out and find our way around! Continue reading... Celebrity Eclipse Perfect celebration by paulgina

We booked this cruise 14 months prior to sailing as part of the celebrations for 2 of our party celebrating their 60th birthdays. This is the first time any of our party of 4 have been on a Celebrity cruise and we weren't disappointed. We loved everything about this ship and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. We found embarkment was smooth and quick, and we went straight up to the lawn club for a refreshing drink and watch the sites of Miami before a taste of the fabulous buffet. Continue reading... Thomson Dream Enjoyable First Time Cruise by A G

Have just returned from a two week cruise and stay in Jamaica, Columbia and Panama. We flew to Montego Bay, Jamaica from Birmingham on the Thomson Dreamliner which was a very nice plane with a lot more room and more comfortable. We arrived in Montego Bay and were shown to the check-in area for the ship where our passport details, photos etc were taken and we were then transported a short distance to the Thomson Dream. Upon arriving at the ship we were shown to our cabin and then told our luggage would arrive shortly. My partner's luggage arrived but it took around 45 minutes before my luggage was found. I beginning to wonder whether it had actually arrived in Jamaica. Continue reading... Enjoyable First Time Cruise

Norwegian Spirit NCL Spirit - Mediterranean - April 3rd 2015 by pipcarobethdan

We have taken cruises with NCL before, travelling twice on the Jade and once on the Star so we were looking forward to not only another cruise but a new ship. We had read good reviews about the Spirit on Cruise Critic as well. We boarded in Malaga (after enjoying 2 days there revisiting our old haunts as we used to live there) after taking a taxi which dropped us right at the entrance to the terminal. Immediately, a porter was there to take our cases and point us in the right direction. The check in process was simple and quick (most people would be boarding in Barcelona 48 hours later) and there were no queues at all. We checked in and were on the boat within 10 minutes. Thomson Dream Nothing wrong with Thomson by Nannie D

I find it hard to understand why people moan so much about Thomson cruises, no they're not five star but you know that when you book. Although our cruise Mexican Medley and Panama Canal had some problems it was all out of the captains hands. He can't avoid delayed flights, bad weather or a guest needing hospital treatment. We cruise with Thomson because of the crew who are excellent . As a vegetarian I don't always like the main option on offer but head waiter Daniel arranged for the next nights menu to be delivered to my cabin every day so I could check if it was ok and if not suggest something different. Excellent service. Continue reading... Nothing wrong with Thomson

Azamara Quest Exceeded Expectations by TPW

Upon boarding the Quest for our first Azamara cruise we met so many people who were on their 4th,5th or 6th (and in some cases more) cruise which is always a good sign. We had a mini suite on the 8th deck (8053) and everything was very good. The staff were excellent, the senior staff including the Captain were personable, friendly, helpful and communicative (quite the opposite to the cruise we took immediately prior to this on Silver Wind - for all we saw the senior crew on that ship it might just have well been on 'automatic pilot'') the food was superb and the staff most attentive at all times. It would help if there was more than one choice of red and white wines at dinner. We will travel with Azamara again and have no hesitation in recommending this ship on the basis of this most enjoyable experience. Continue reading... Exceeded Expectations

Oceana First time with P&O by CRUISIN LINDA

After cruising with 6 other companies, we thought it was about time we tried P&O. This was the repositioning cruise from Southampton to Genoa. We arrived at Southampton about 12.45pm after a pleasant train journey from Oxford. There were taxis right outside the station, so we got one to Ocean Terminal and went up to the waiting area, where we were issued with a card with a letter on it. When our letter was called we went to check in and were soon on the ship and on our way to the buffet! We had some lunch and about 2pm an announcement was made that the cabins were ready so we made our way to our cabin – C343. Continue reading... First time with P&O

Magellan Cruised from DUNDEE TO NORWEGIAN FJORDS AND BACK TO DUNDEE [ 29TH MARCH 2015] by Mazzablue17

Marvellous Magellan!! We travelled via GLENTON HOLIDAYS - therefore we were picked up from home in a mini-bus form AYRSHIRE and driven to the port of Dundee to join the Magellan. There followed a very slick and quick embarkation and we were in our cabin 55mins later! Service from all staff and crew was excellent, entertainment of a very high standard and plenty of variety. We attended the art class, where a very talented cartoonist gave us some tips and examples of his work. Lectures on whales ect were available, and fruit and vegetable art by the kitchen crew was amazing - not forgetting the Chocaholic Buffet - where for 30minutes, you were invited to take photographs of their creations...then - YES - eat it!! Regal Princess Beautiful new ship - much better than Crown Princess by Gaviano

Just come back from a 7-night cruise to Eastern Caribbean, and had a great time. The ship (at time of writing) is still less than a year old, and is shiny and new, with all the carpets still spotless, and the marble and gold railings gleaming, the cabin still fresh, the bed still comfortable. Had a balcony stateroom up on deck 15, and forward, so I was a little apprehensive about feeling too much of the swell once we got out onto open waters ... but we never felt anything worse than a gentle rocking (though that might not be the case if Regal Princess ventures out into the mid-Atlantic, say). Staff were always friendly and courteous, food in the buffet was good, and sometimes very good; in the restaurants, very good and sometimes excellent. Continue reading... Oceana Another very good cruise, despite feeding the monster Britannia by Clodia

Oceana to Madeira and the Canaries: great itinerary and ports, usual friendly service and good food. Some of the most experienced staff were taken to feed the monster Britannia, as we were the only ship in Southampton at the same time as her naming and maiden voyage. This led to some inexperienced staff serving us, with the usual good humour and obliging manner you get on P and O always, but some minor mistakes were made. However, I think we could all understand why this was. And seeing Her Majesty naming Britannia onboard was a great experience. Continue reading... Costa Serena Better Than Expected by StanSue

Having read some of the previous comments we went on this cruise expecting the worst, however things turned out much much better than expected & our advice to anybody due to travel is go with an open mind & enjoy yourselves, also if you enjoy the odd tipple make sure you sign up for the all inclusive drinks package as its got to be one of the best at 25.5 euros p/p p/day of any cruise line. Food on on board is a bit limited & chaotic during the buffet feeding times but the evening dining was excellent & made all the better by the waiting staff & our fellow diners ( Roy,Lorraine, Stewart & Lorraine). Magellan Overnight cruise to Newcastle by ETFCfan

This cruise started at Tilbury and we were embarked just 15 mins after our time of 10.45. We were welcomed on board by a line of staff and escorted to our cabin by a very polite steward. First impressions were good with a spacious inside cabin. We had an enjoyable lunch served in either the buffet or dining room. Sailing was late due to problems with delivery butthere was plenty to do. There was a lot of open deck space and various lounges. The theatre was lovely, 2 tier and the show was an Abba tribute which was quite good, We also saw a comedian. Continue reading... Overnight cruise to Newcastle
