Island Princess shows 2 Obstructed View Balcony cabins on Deck 8 forward. I was wondering how they compared in cost to a Premium Ocean View cabin so I was doing a mock booking at the Princess site. I can't find any way to get pricing for those cabins. They don't show up when I select Balcony so I tried selecting Ocean View. Nope. I tried Interior and Mini Suite just to be thorough but I can't find any way to select those two cabins. Can anybody tell me how to see Cabins E207 and E208 on Island Princess? They clearly show on the deck plans but aren't "selectable" under any type of booking I can figure out. I'm likely just having a senior moment and it's not really important but it's annoying.
It is quite possible that they are "set asides" for entertainers.

Anybody travelling with folding motorised scooter on Diamond Princess, could you please post suggestions of any challenges or assistance provided with scooters especially embark and disembark on gangplanks.
Much appreciated

Understand that by treaty, no ship with more than 500 pax (viz. all of Princess' ships) may
land pax on the continent. If you're on Princess, it's strictly a sail-by voyage.
Also, as I understand it, type of fuel oil used dictates
which type of Ship is allowed into Antarctica
We were on the Marco Polo, Orient Lines, when we went.
Approx 650 paxs; however, only about 350 were aboard.
The Zodiacs held 14 + driver.
Six Zodiacs left the ship.
Three Zodiacs landed and then
about 15 min. later the other three
landed.
As was mentioned, we were divided into four groups.
Antarctica is like the Galapagos Islands; you take nothing
in with you; and, you do not bring anything out.
They must be preserved
-
since you've been any hints or suggestions?
A few;
If making landings by Zodiac,
wear loose fitting clothing.
Do not over dress.
We wore thermal under
wear.
Water proof, light, pants
We were given a coat,
which was quite warm
We took our own boots
Knee high.
Wear sun glasses
Enjoy -- It is a trip of
a life time.
As was mentioned, we made
four landings.
Rotated, so each group was
to be first to land.

unlimited Internet but satellite coverage must be sparse down there.
When we were there, a few years ago, we had very good Internet service.
Enjoy your Cruise; it is a great experience.

Let's face it --
We are just a "commodity" any more.:(
Princess has been cutting back for many years.
-
I can’t see how they could move you when you specifically mark it “Do Not Upgrade” and you’ve booked those specific two cabins. It certainly does happen.
Yes -- It does happen; on Princess.
Along with another couple, we had a Cruise booked for April.
Cabins were side by side, Bookings linked and marked "Do not upgrade".
Checked our Bookings on Wednesday --
We were moved to one part of the Ship;
the other couple were moved to another
part of the Ship. Different Deck.
Neither our TA nor us were notified.
Our original Cabins are gone.
We all decided to cancel the Cruise before
Final Payment.

Quite possibly, Princess is waiting for the status of the "New Build" before releasing the rest of the 2019
cruises. JMHO

That’s not a change. I’ve had that several times over the last three years. One cruise, it was eight days.
That was the Royal TA. Was nasty.
Four days is too long. When we were on the CB in August, most of our batches came back the next evening. One took two days.Recently off of the Crown TA and there was a note in our Cabin that it would take
four days for laundry.
We went to the Circle Host and asked what the problem was.
Quite frankly, she had a "take it or leave it" attitude.
We came back to our Cabin and decided to "leave it".
E-mailed our TA and cancelled two Princess cruses.
(Total days: 59)
Rebooked with an other Cruise Line.

Yes they do. Just ask those 150 pax left in Miami that were denied boarding on the carnival splendor around South America
Know a couple who were on that Cruise.
I told them that they needed a Visa.
They did not listen to me.
When they found out that they needed one.
They rented a car and drove to Miami.
Got their Visas and then flew to the next Port
and caught the ship.
Cost them a few $$$$$

 We are arriving in Fort Lauderdale on the Island Princess in the A.M. of 12/20 and leaving the same day on the Royal does anyone know if Princess has a way to make this transfer easy, is it a short walk or will a cab be necessary?
We did this several years ago.
Princess was supposed to set up the transfer.
PSD confirmed the transfer; however, no one
showed up.
I asked a Porter if he would take us over to
our next Ship.
A little $ helped.;)
Took us about 20 minutes to get to the next Pier.

Hi all -
However, I forget the time restraints. In order to do this, your flight can be no earlier than a certain time because they can't guarantee your bags would get to the airport on time for earlier flights. Does anyone know what that earliest time is? I believe it was 11:30 AM but I'm not sure, and I need to know so I can book my flights.
Thanks all!
Easiest way to find out -----
Go to your Booking.
Click on EZ Air Flights.
The earliest return flight time will be shown.

Trust me .....I raised 4 kids 2 boys , 2 girls (now all adults) . I would raise 10 more boys before I raised one girl.
We had the same "mix" and totally agree with you.
We did get even --
Our oldest daughter has two daughters.;)
Every time that she complained, my DW would just smile.

The absolute worst tour we did was the "pirate ship" snorkel tour in Cabo San Lucas. They were far more interested in getting us drunk from the moment that we stepped onto the boat
Agree with your comments.
We took the Pirate Ship Tour and regretted it.
Had a Mother, with her two teen age DDs, get so drunk that they had to be carried back to the Ship.
Never again.

The Beatlemaniacs are not a Princess Cruises exclusive, as they play on other ships and cruise lines, as well as land-based concert venues. Last year they were on for one round-trip sailing at the beginning of December - boarding in St. Thomas one week, and getting off in St. Thomas the next week - then came back later in the month.
Here are some pictures from when they performed on Royal Princess...
:D
My pet peeve about Princess, with shows in the Atrium.
People insist on standing on the steps; thus, creating a dangerous condition.

No. Not a joke. The kids should be herded together in one pool to make all the noise they want and the aft pool is big enough for a few hundred of them.
There is no way that the Aft Regal pool could handle more than ten urchins.
The aft pool on Regal is large enough for a few hundred childred as well as the parents that would have to hang out there supervising them? Is there an Incredible Shrinking Machine on Regal that zaps people down to the size of ants? Is Wayne Szalinski the Cruise Director?Yes -- Princess has a sequel to the movie "Honey - I shrunk the kids";)

Thinking of booking Canada/New Eng. cruise this Oct. My husband is a smoker and he knows from other ships, he can not smoke except in designated spots.
When I called the Princess help line, women said only cigar & pipes could be smoked in the Churchill lounge. My DH has smoked in the cigar lounge on RCCL Explorer and Princess Carribbean
Have things changed?
On the Royal TA, last October, saw folks also smoking cigars and pipes on Deck 17 aft, Starboard side.

What coins do you need to operate the washing machines and dryers on the Sea Princess ? Thanks.
Believe that the Sea Princes laundry still uses U S quarters.
You can get them at the PSD (Passenger Service Desk)
If they now switched tokens, the PSD will have them.
There are change machines in the laundry that accept U S dollars.
Have a great Cruise.

I also noticed the changes...5 pages of info & 26 pages listing itineraries. :(The old format was much better. I agree with you. The new format seems like a brochure.
Advertising is very expensive to print and mail.
The return on investment is very difficult to measure.
Before I retired, my Department handled the shipping of my Company's advertising. My shipping budget was out-of-sight.
Some shipments went Motor Freight' rather than UPS.
So, looks like the Princess bean counters are working over time cutting costs.
Charging for Room Service and Alfredo's may be just a start.
Time to look at other Cruise lines:(

Does anyone know if she is going to do her usual Live from  I believe her cruise started this week and do not see her on the boards.
See the "locked post" on Page Two.
Mike had an accident.

I also think that using an iron in the laundromat is a better option. On the Royal's TA with so many elites onboard (and now reading about how many elites sent in other passengers laundry!) it took nearly a week to have my suit pressed.
That rumor was all over the ship; however, we could not verify it.
Our Cabin Steward did some checking for us.
We feel that the main problem was that many of us spent several days, pre Cruise, in Venice or other locations.
Then, when we boarded, we sent our laundry in on the first/second day.
-
Some on our roll call want to delay the official meet & greet until Day 5 of an 11-day cruise as it is the first day at sea and the first day after folks join the cruise from Berlin (they embark on Day 4). In any case, many of us want to do an unofficial meeting and maybe share a drink or two on the afternoon of embarkation day (Sunday in Copenhagen).
Any Suggestions from veteran Royal Princess cruisers?
Club 6 would also be a good location, if it is available.

From what I recall, Port Side, Forward; near the Pool Bar, on Deck 9.
Can not recall any other place.
