  1. Our cabin steward replaced our shampoo, conditioner, soap in our suite on the Royal in Dec 2017. You will also get the Princess Lotion. We needed a few more bars of soap and I left our cabin steward a note and he left them and always saw that we had all of those extras when things were running low. The suite life was sweet! You will love it! We normally dine at a large table of cruisers at the late seating. We had to get accustomed to the CC Dining with our two person table. We met a family in Sabatini's our first morning and they invited us to dine with them for three evening meals in CC. Geoherb and I will be in a balcony cabin in a few weeks on the Regal. After reading this post I am realizing that I'm going to miss the suite life!

Sam is this you? If so we are the family that also had a suite. Miss you both....we are sailing on Royal again end of Feb.

We are already missing the suite life!

  2. I have to wonder if our health and funds will hold out long enough to ever get this credit. Somehow I doubt it will happen. :(

Thrak.. you are still so young ...DH is 76 and we have 4 cruises booked this year....and I see you have some upcoming....it will happen.....we are now at $50 and working toward more

  3. We have found it's always good to keep checking for price drops and promos after booking with the S&S. Some times you win and some times the price does not change enough to re fare. Last year prices did not change much.

This year big difference in switching to anniversary sale vs the S&S we already had booked. Could be the cruises we booked that played into better prices. Both are TA and one is 14 days and one is 25 days. We saved over $1000 p/p on first one and also received an extra $600 OBC for first TA.

On second TA we saved $1500 p/p and received $600 OBC

  4. Last fall we sailed on a ship that had a terrible outbreak of the Noro on the cruise prior to our getting on. They did a deep clean of the ship and delayed boarding and sailing and we could not get into rooms until after 3PM. No new cases turned up and we were on her for 18 days.

  5. on the ROYAL they also have the super Tuscan wine dinner held in Sabatini ( they close it to public that night) I think $60 p/p and it is amazing food and wine parings. We did it last December and sailed with our daughter and a friend of hers. They sang happy birthday to her and brought her a cake. It was the night of her actual birthday.

  6. originally bottled water for suites was tied into the club class roll out. If the ship had started club class then bottled water came with suite...........now I think all the club class roll outs are complete.........so bottled water should come with all suites.

  7. Cash offers are based more on slot play than table play. Cash offers are now free play monies at the tables or in machines. Based on level of play. Hubs plays blackjack and unless he plays slots ....does not receive as much in free play money.

This is based on our cruises in November and December. No longer cash to play but free play money uploaded to machine. You do not start accruing points until you spend your free play down. If you cash out....winnings go into bank and left over free play goes back into free play.

One of these cruises was a VIP casino cruise and drinks are given out while you are playing.

the other cruises we both received several comp drinks
