  1. Well, we have a difference of opinion on that matter. The only thing that doesn't change are the production shows. There is no telling if there will be a Journey Tribute band on your cruise or not.

These production shows have got to go. And they did not even change during the previous dry dock.

well that is not good news.

I read a lot about all the bands that play on ht Indy and how good they really are.

As I said, being a huge Journey fan just made this cruise even more of a good choice - but I guess I will have to wait and see once we board (not sailing until 8/9, which is still a long way off.)

    Thanks,

  2. yes, my confirmation does mention "group booking"

I guess I should just keep trying for the next several months.

I just really wanted to get the ball rolling on this M & M cause there are only 3 registered people so far.

My TA is one of the most knowledgeable people in the business, but I can tell you w/o even asking her, she will not know anything about cruisecritic and a M & M.

I tried once again one day last week and it FINALLY WORKED.

It seems to have worked when I was about 8 months out from my cruise - just not sure if that had anything to do with it or just because it was a "group" booking through my T.A.

  3. I'm not sure I have too many tips or tricks other than to get on IOS and live it up! We found our best advice came from either these CC forums or meeting frequent cruisers on board, getting to know them and getting ideas from them. It also helps when staff on board are open and honest with their replies to your question and don't just give you the standard RC reply to some basic questions. Hope that helps!!

    Thank you the info.

I know I will have a good time, but I am the type of person that NEEDS to by FULLY prepared BEFORE I get on board.

Plus, most of my past cruises were on Carnival, and this will only be my second with RCCL, so I wanted to see what the differences are going to be.

  4. Yup, I have no idea why I can suddenly register now. Our cruise is just over two months away. Interesting, when I called RCCL & my TA, neither of them were very familiar with Cruise Critic & what it was all about or how to register for an M&M. They actually thanked me for telling them about this. They didn't know that CC members do have a certain degree of clout with the cruise lines as reviews are posted both about particular cruises & travel agents.

I suspect you are in a Group booking that hasn't closed yet.

    Cheers,

    NJ :)

  5. I will be sailing her in Aug. 2015.

Can't wait to hear more about this ship as we normally sail Carnival. Sailed once on Serenade of the Seas, but mostly Carnival.

And to the person who posted about St. Kitts, I am sorry to hear about your visit. I have been there many times both on land vacations and cruise stops and never once felt unsafe. It is a beautiful island with great beaches and a very active nightlife.

  6. Hi Mitchell - the problem is, as a local I'm not allowed to recommend any local company or vendor on these boards. If you join the FB page: Curacao - Cruise Port of Call you might get better answers.

    OK Isa65.

I think I may already be a member of that FB page.

I will go there now and check it out.

    THANK YOU!!!

  7. Hi All,

While I am NOT cruising to Curacao (at least this time around), I always value the suggestions and opinions of everybody on these boards. I myself have posted many times here in the past (when I have cruised.)

My question is, I need a recommendation for a car rental company. I only need the rental for 24 hours. I need a car that can hold 4 people while we tour the West End on our own.

We are staying at the Sunscape Resort.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Mitchell...........

  8. I can't speak for anyone else's experience but we used Tyrone just this past Tuesday and everyone in our group felt this was the best tour of our entire cruise., Tyrone was friendly, personable and made very sure we enjoyed every part of our tour. He stopped for photos when and where ever we wished and allowed us plenty of time to snap all we wanted. He also provided plenty of beverages through out the day.

I would have no problem recommending him to a friend and certainly would use him again myself.

I agree. I used him in Aug for a private tour with a group of 10 people nd loved him and his tour. We actually had Paul as our driver since Tyrone's van is not big enough. But Ty was great in communicating with me and met us ON TIME as he noted in his many e-mails to me.

  9. I used Tyrone on 8/4 during our Valor cruise.

We had NO issues at all other than he could not take my entire group of 10, so he handed us off to one of his other drivers, Carl, and he was one of the best guides we have ever had.

Once again, NO ISSUES at all.

I would recommend a visit to the Agapey Chocolate Factory. VERY interesting and the tour guide was acutally the owner. VERY nice man.

  10. My group of 10 toured Barbados with Tyrone 8/7 while visiting from the Carnival Valor.

Since Tyrone did not have a van big enough to actually go with him, he handed us off to Craig. Well, let me tell you, Craig was FANTASTIC.

Tyrone met us at the pier as scheduled. Very easy to find him. Once we met Tyrone, he introduced us to Craig, and it was instant happiness. Craig was very infomrative and very funny. He is a good story teller and he loves his home land.

We visited a combination of sights he wanted us to see and things that WE wanted to do. He made sure that we saw and did as much as possible.

Then it was on to Carlisle Bay Beach, which was one of the top 5 beaches we have ever visited, and we have been to many caribbean island beaches before.

    I highly recommend his services.

  11. Hahahaha.... I'm glad my recommendation was worth it! My wife and I are actually thinking of going back for our 1st Anniversary

well that would be well worth it. I had been to St. Kitts many years ago and stayed for a week at the Marriott - loved it.

are you the same person from tripadvisor that left Ian a great review?

  12. Have a great time! Tell him Luis from Chicago says hi!

    HELLOOOOOO,

Well I forgot to say Hi to Ian for you, BUT, he said to me a the end of our tour, Luis from Chicago says hello. For a minute I had no idea what he was talking about, then I remembered this posting.

THANKS for the recommendation. He was fantastic....... I will be writing a short review on tripavisor for him.

Would use him again in a heartbeat.

    Mitch........from NY.
