  1. Hi,

I received my etickets yesterday for my April 1st departure from Venice.

\i have a check in time of 14:45. This is fine, but my question is... how likely is this to be the case. Do people usually check in as assigned or just show up for a free for all?

I am happy to make my way for the time noted, but it does seem a bit late in the event that there are a couple thousand of passengers ahead of me.

    Thoughts..?

    Thanks

  2. Hi,

Could someone tell me what time the late seating at dinner is on the Musica? I will be on the April 1st sailing and was just reviewing my docs and see my family has been given the second seating. We are traveling with our kids so I am concerned that this may be too late for them. Any one know if changing this will be an issue?

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Hi,

I just made my final payment today for the Musica April 1st departure! it's official:)

I was wondering if MSC offers laundry promos on board? I was on the NCL Epic a couple of years ago and they had a mid cruise deal of fill the bag for $20 for laundry. Does anyone know if there is something similar on the Musica?

    Thanks

  4. We did the same cruise on Musica out of Venice last month to the Greek Islands, etc. Flew into Venice International the day before. Stayed on the outskirts of Venice at the Hotel President in Mestre. Only 35 Euros by taxi to the ship. Hotel arranged the taxi.

SnoopyUSA, how did you like the cruise? I will be onboard next April and would love to hear your comments.

  5. Hi,

I have a cruise booked for April 1, 2018. I saw that status match if offered, so I have just sent in my match request ( I am SPG gold)

In the event that my status is matched, can I call in and have them adjust my price to apply the 5% discount? I am still a long way from final payment.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

  6. Hi,

I have booked an OV cabin for Musica next year. Ideally would have liked a balcony, but it seems they are all sold out.

We are 2 adults and 2 kids (8 and 10). I am wondering if anyone can tell me what I am in for with this room? It is a port intensive cruise so there will be little hanging around in the room.

If anyone has cruised with 4 in this cabin, please provide tips which helped maintain your sanity!

    Thanks

  7. Hi,

I am currently booked in an OV room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids)on Musica for the April 1, 2018 sailing. There does not seem to be any available balcony rooms for 4 people, but there are rooms for 3 people. The pull out in the room for 3 would easily sleep my 2 kids. Is there any way to have the folks at MSC allow this?

I am hoping that something opens up.

    Any thoughts or advice?

    Thanks!

  8. What do you need to prove being a Gov't employee? I booked this past weekend and my agent seemed like he wanted to find me a discount. He asked if I was military, teacher or govt employee? I said my agency and position are fully funded by govt and he said "that will do". Not sure about that, but I will take the 5%. What sort of ID checking procedure is there for this discount usually?

    Thanks!

  9. Hi All,

I just booked a cruise out of Venice for April 1/18. There are no baloconies available at this time. Have any of you experienced there not being any so far out? Did some open up once people had to make their final payments or cancel? I am hopeful that there will be some inventory in the next 9 months!

    Looking for fellow passengers experiences.

    Thanks

  10. Hi,

I am considering booking a cruise for spring break (Europe) with 2 kids and husband.I want some advice from the Canadians on this board about how to get the best value with our terrible dollar. I know some lines offer a bit better exchange rate. Do any of you have tips an also a great agent that will get you the best deal. I know you can't name names so please feel free to PM me.

    Thanks!

  11. I called the corporate office and talked to someone there and was told that the $1000 was retroactive and the Jan 21st date didn't matter. She said they were manually going through all the bookings and removing any OBC over $1000 from bookings.

As I suspected. Thanks. I was just hoping:)

  12. I was wondering if anyone has heard if they have grandfathered those who booked pre Jan 21st? I was on the phone today with my pcc for another matter and I asked her to double check my OBC account. She confirmed the amount that I purchased. I then mentioned the policy change and she casually said "yes, that came into effect a few weeks ago, but you bought this way before the change so you are good" I didn't press, I just wondered if this really is true?

I fully expect to arrive on the ship to b e told that my OBC is $1000, but a girl can dream!

  13. I get a pn email weekly addressed to my 6 year old that she/ we need to complete our online check in before our March 16th cruise. I have inputted all the information but it will not save the contact info for anyone accept me. So it appears that we are only 75% checked in, but just the contact info is missing. Will this be an issue? I have tried on many different days to go back and complete the process but it just doesn't work!

On a seperate matter, my booked items are very inaccurate in my web account. Is this normal that the online is so glitchy or should i call customer service? I seem to be missing $2500 from my onboard account.

  14. When I book a year ago. The rates were only slightly favourable. Maybe 12% or so. I pre paid for 3000 OBC then. Had I have bought 3000 cash dollars at the time, my rate would have been about 1.23. By NCL changing the terms with this agreement, it is now costing me considerably more. They have also had the benefit of my money for that amount of time.

I really don't have an issue with the change of policy but the refunds should have been processing as they announce the change. They need to give their customers opportunity to access the money NCL has been holding prior to their departure and make alternate arrangements if necessary. For example, I was planning to use this 3000 to pay my DSC, possible spa visits, excursions and anything else I may want.

If I have proper notice and my money refunded before I leave, I can prepay online for most of these things. If I get onboard without a refund and only $1000 and no opportunity to pre book, NCL will loose out on all the additional things I may have bought, since I will not be paying for anything at todays exchange rate.
