Just got off of Regal Princess this week. Long line for taxis but went fast. Line split for singles and twos versus groups with 3+. Taxi to the airport cost about the same as taking the cruise shuttle service for two.

Once we had a balcony, we didn't go back. There are some larger balconies on the Regal, if you can get them. Some are actually listed in the "interior " price ranges (the obstructed balconies up front). We are about to board the Regal today, and expect the weather to be cool, but nice. We bring layers...and love to watch the world go by. There will be some very pretty scenery on this cruise, especially sailing out of Stockholm.

We used to receive free upgrades, but now often receive upsell offers. We usually book the highest category under where we would really want to be. Very shortly after the final payment date, we get an email that has to be responded to within a day or so, or the offer is gone. On the cruise we are leaving for today, we originally booked the highest mini-suite (not club class). We were upsold to a full owners suite at one of the back corners of the ship with a wrap-around balcony. The price we are paying is about half of the published owners suite price. Our first full suite!

We truly have found that cruising is a much more affordable vacation than many land based ones we have gone on. We usually have air miles because the airfare can actually be almost as much as the cruise cost. We cruise about twice a year, and Love It!

We will arrive in Warnemunde on Whit Monday, June 5th. Per travel info , Schwerin Castle Will be open that day from 10 till 6, but shops and shopping center closed.cafe and restaurants are open. We have to decide what to do...

We were on the same cruise. Had great weather. Fine entertainment. Great service. Delicious food and we did not use any of the specialty restaurants and only went to the Horizon Court one time (nice selection but we like being served). Joined the pop choir and had fun. Lots to do or not to do. Lots of gambling people on board for some reason. Not a lot of young people on board. Very elegant ship.

Sorry, I just reread the guidelines. They say you should allow 4.5 hours after we get to Ft Lauderdale. That should be 10:30!

Yes, 9 am is too early. Read the fine print on the princess website, I think 9:30 is the minimum time they recommend. Assuming the ship docks at 6 am.

I will be cruising in about a month. Was hoping to go to this new port in The Dominican Republic and hope it weathered the storm well.

My husband and I were on the first two legs of Quantums "Global Oddysey" and are interested in hearing your opinions of your trip. Love your photo from The Dubai Mall - we got there too. We absolutely loved the ship and wish the Quantum class ships sailed out of Florida.

Currently on Quantum in Med. Lots of complaints about slow or no internet connectivity. No offers to refund any of the high fees. Don't count on it.

Thank you Radio for the great day by day review. We are 90 days out from the transatlantic repositioning and looking forward to it!

Would love to see this from on the balcony. Seemed to have a lot of sq ft when we booked ir for February sailing.
