  1. We were just notified that Flam has been replaced with Skjolden for our itinerary -- I am disappointed not to do the RR but will be researching this new port. Any suggestions?
  2. Thank you so much for your link and helpful advice. We will NOT be renting a car so we will just make the best of what we can see. 🙂
  3. Along Sognefjord would be Flam Others are (in order): Eidfjord, Hardangerfjord, Bergen, Molde, Trondheim, Honningsvag, Alesund, Flam, Songefjord, Stavanger and back to Amsterdam.
  4. Stave churches I do hope we will see some of these beautiful churches in our ports. I know there have to be some in Bergen .... and wondered if when we sail Sognefjord if we pass this one? Urnes church is located on the shores of the Lustrafjord, a northeastern branch of the Sognefjord
  5. Maybe they have changed the name of the cabins as we are in 1544 next door to 42 so I think it will be just fine. This is on deck 10. Thanks for your input.
  6. Thank you all! My friends who I am inquiring for booked with Victory and it seems to be a very good ship and itinerary. 🙂
  7. Do any of their ships cruise the Great Lakes? Thank you
  8. Has anyone on this board actually cruised the Great Lakes? I cannot find any info and would like to know the favorite line to explore for this. Thank you
  9. It's not worth missing Bergen for me so I really appreciate your info!
  10. https://www.fjordnorway.com/things-to-do/waterfalls-in-the-hardangerfjord-region-p970423 This is the sort of activity my husband and I love when we travel -- we love hiking/walking in National Parks. Does anyone have experience with a third party tour company to see these falls? HAL has one excursion to one of them but I think I can find a better one -- I hope I can. I am still looking but thought I'd ask those of you who've been. Thank you!
  11. Pulpit Rock Anyone know if it is routine for a cruise ship to pass Pulpit Rock on the 'Stravanger' day? If not, is it worth an excursion boat ride? I don't think we really have time to do the hike with other things to be seen in port as that hike excursion is 7 1/2 hours. The ship excursion has this notation about Pulpit Rock: "On some calls at Stavanger, the cruise ship sails into Lysefjord but does not offer the same close encounter with Pulpit Rock that is the highlight of this tour." Lysefjord is not listed on our itinerary. Thank you.
  12. We have Flam on the itinerary - -IF we get to dock there with the emissions restrictions. Eidfjord is the port for Hardangerfjord Thank you for the beautiful video..... I love your work. 🙂
  13. Silly me -- I knew that! Trying to learn these new to me words. 😉 Our 2 fjords are Hardangerfjord and Sognefjord. Well, that will be a beautiful, quiet, serene time, I am sure, as well sail the fjords. We love the Inside Passage of Alaska cruises so we are sure to enjoy these! Really getting excited. 🙂
  14. Hi all, I have read many reviews of the Blue-Puffin tour for North Cape. In doing an internet search I came across a company, Arctic Guide Service. I am curious if anyone has been on their tour? How does its itinerary compare to Blue Puffin's? Any comment? I am ready to book an excursion for our cruise as I know the BP sells out. Thanks so much!
