I think it's due to rough waters.
The 11/24 cruise was late arriving back in Baltimore as well as today's 12/1 cruise. We had absolute smooth sailing the entire week so I don't think it was late because of rough seas.

I will be glad to answer any questions. Had a great 12/1 cruise which ended with the worse debarkation I've ever experienced. Ship docked at 9:30 and I wasn't off until noon, even with self-assist luggage.

The tastings are just that, a taste, but you can go through the line over and over. Once the first influx goes through, it doesn't take long:D
Are you qualified for past guest party?
Slap cash to your S&S account. Yes, you paid the gratuities in cash, but it makes the final bill look and feel smaller.
Yes, we are past guests. How do I know about the past guest party?

I'm going on the Pride next week. I don't want a big bill at the end of my cruise. How about some tips on cruising on the cheap? I will take my own bottle of wine as permitted by Carnival. I won't sign up for excursions - the ports aren't of much interest to me anyway. I like the cruising part better than the ports. Any ideas?

I will be going to both Nassau and Freeport next week. I have my own snorkel gear. Is there anywhere that I can walk to at either port and snorkel for free?

Normally I just turn my phone off within an hour of leaving port, but circumstances may be different on the pride.
For the first 14 hours of the cruise you will be sailing down the Chesapeake Bay. I cannot imagine there is not cell service along this route, then you will work your way down the coast to Port Canaveral where you will once again have cell service. Then the final 14 hours of the cruise you will be back in the Chesapeake Bay. So the Pride may be the best itinerary for cell service.
Does anyone have firsthand experience with this on the Pride? I am also sailing the Pride in February and have been wondering about this.
I am also wondering about the Baltimore Pride route and using a cell phone. When we dock in Port Canaveral do I need to get off the ship to use my cell phone without any unusual charges?

I'll be cruising on the Pride soon. It's good to read all these nice comments about her. I don't even see any negative remarks about the Pride. Can't wait!

I don't mean to be dumb, but who is JH? How would I get an email address or contact info ahead of cruise day for MD or JH?

How do you find out what happened to ships you've sailed on. How would I know if they're still around, or if they've been scrapped, etc? Specifically, I'm thinking of Monarch of the Seas and Song of America. Is there a web site to look this type of thing up?

What's the most cost effective way to get from Ft Laurderdale airport to pier for a Costa Cruise? I'll have a total of 6 people. What about the return trip?

We used Victor Bodden's tours when in Roatan a couple weeks ago. Our tour guide was Jorge (Pilo) who was born and raised there. He was very knowedgable, and took us anywhere we asked to go. I never met Victor or his family, but got several emails from him. A very professional tour!
Just off the Pride
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Just worse in the fact that it took so long and there seemed to be confusion by Carnival. We had to be out of the rooms by 8:30, the ship didn't arrive until 9:30 so we sat in the showroom for a while. Then they called decks 1 & 8 to leave, then all other self assist. So a huge line formed and we stood inside the ship for another hour or so, then they called more self assist by decks. Didn't make sense to have everyone standing in the ship for so long. So it was out of our cabin at 8:30 and not off the ship until noon. Yuck.
