I've read several threads about the Pride arriving late. According to Carnival, the departure time is 4:30. But if it gets back late, and people get off late, and we board late, what time do we actually get to leave?

pictures and internet minutes, anything you buy at the shops, spa services, salon services, casino, bingo, steakhouse, excursions all cost $$. . basically dining room, lido buffet and room service are the free meals. . any drinks like water, lemonade, ice tea and coffee are free.. soda/alcohol not free -- I prefer early seating but that is all i've ever done.. I get hungry early and I am not a late night person so I like eating early, grabbing a seat at the show and then heading to bed.

I have it for our sailing in two weeks I can report back once we sail and let ya know. From what I'm hearing though the ship is docking later on Sundays so boarding hasn't started till like noon or 12:30 I believe. Hopefully others will reply with more current info.

We stayed at the Hampton inn blue lagoon when we cruised out of Miami last time - they had a shuttle to the port and airport. Otherwise if u want closer the holiday inn on Biscayne blvd but no shuttles so you'd have to get a taxi or shuttle over there.

can someone please let me know the bus again you can take in Nassau to get you to any of the free beaches?? What are those free beaches again as I don't remember the names? and how much it is each way per person to take the bus there and back to the port?

Also in Freeport any free beaches and the cost of taxi per person to get there and back to the port? or what is worth seeing in this port that won't cost much if anything?? just so we can get away from the industrial area for a few hours while we are in port.

We are on a very tight budget so no excursions planned or anything in any of the ports. Would stay on the ship in Freeport but if there is any must see places i'd love to get off and sight see alittle.

another question while I'm thinking of things.. any recent Pride cruisers know how much a internet package for the entire week will cost? I know when we went on the triumph many years ago we got it on the first day and there was a special price for it for a certain number of hours. trying to figure out how much everything will cost so we have an idea before we leave.

Yes we have FTTF. If you have internet access I would track the ship to ensure it is in port before heading over. They just have seat in the FTTF waiting area.

16 days for me - 7 days till my single digit dance!! 2 weeks from tomorrow we will be flying out of here. . also hoping our airport is all caught up as same with these fridge temps this last week has been nuts with cancellations and delays big time. so need warmer weather because these negative temps are not fun!!!

We cruised on the Pride's 10/6/13 sailing and had FTTF. We received an email from Carnival indicating the Pride was being inspected by the USCG upon arrival and it would late embarkation. We arrived at 12:30 as we finished check-in they started boarding the platinum and FTTF. We were in our room at 12:45. Signs were posted indicating only Platinum and FTTF guest can go to their cabins until 1:30.

 

We are also cruising the Pride on 1/26/14 so I have been tracking her and it appears that it returns to Baltimore late each week, my guess weather related. The arrivals range from 9am to 10:30. We are planning to get to the Port of Baltimore around 12:30pm.

Did you get FTTF for the 26th JMAE?? We have it so I guess we will see how early we all get to board. . We will probably just check out of the hotel at 11 and head over shortly after.. grab some snacks so we have for munching while we wait to board. Is there a way to tell how early she actually docks the day of?

I've not gotten onboard before 1 the last couple of times I've sailed the Pride.

ok good to know.. I have a back up flight at 6pm we can take if we miss the 12:50pm one so no biggy there.. so another question.. I know they are fussy about cameras and all that inside the terminal.. if we arrive between 10:30 and 11am but have to wait a few hrs to board can we use our Ipads or laptops to watch movies to help pass the time without getting yelled at? Otherwise I know I will be really bored and very anxious to just get onboard lol the waiting will be very hard. . i'm sure for everyone since we just want to get onboard and start our vacation :)

Had friends who just got off the Pride last Sunday. They got in around 9 but didn't get off the ship until around 11 a.m. When they boarded for this cruise it was around 1:30 before they got on the ship.

 

We purchased FTTF for our Pride cruise in Nov. of last year and didn't get on until around 1 p.m. Everyone's cabin was ready by that time so that perk of FTTF was wasted money. We were sorry we bought it since we didn't have any tender ports and the getting on early was the main draw for us. The Pride's scheduled time of arrival back in port is 9 a.m. but it has been late a lot in recent weeks.

 

We love the Pride and had a great time.

Ok thanks - my main concern is getting off earlier to make a 12:50pm flight home otherwise we r stuck till Monday flying home. So crossing fingers - would be nice to get on sooner than 1:30 but if that seems the normal thing right now showing up at like 11 or 11:30 would be good on embarkation day?

15 more days!! :). Anyone know when she got into port this last Sunday? Is she still arriving later than normal. We have FTTF so wondering how early we should be at the port. Thanks :)

I know what you mean. longest I have had to wait was this cruise at 189 days and finally tomorrow or in 50 min I am doing the single digit dance. WOOOOHOOOOOO:. Sorry:)

Have fun!!! I want to go on the Breeze someday.. will be the next cruise I take with my kids.. or the Magic as I love that ship as well.

I know its been snowing way to much here and the -temps are really getting on my nerves LOL. . day dreaming isn't enough I need some shorts weather LOL.. praying we have nice weather on our trip. . I'm excited to try the Pride. . i've heard good things and heard the layout is really nice. I am getting alittle more organized.. sorta.. got my summer clothes i'm taking in my suitcase.. but since we will only have 3 or 4 days of warm weather I don't have to pack as much as the last cruise I took out of Miami.

We leave the 18th and it seems surreal. Now that the holidays are over its time to start gathering what I need. I can't wait to be in warm weather. :)

I agree its nuts how quick the time is going by - I remember when I was over 100 days out as well I thought this month would never get here. Bring on warm weather this Midwest weather is not fun right now - too cold!!

wish there was a cheaper package with just the vow renewel and nothing else for people that don't have lots of $$ and just want to do the vows and not have a reception or anything.. plenty of places on board to just go and celebrate and have fun afterwards. I'd love to do this with my husband if we had the $ to do it.

I would put cash down on her side of the account like others stated.. you can put a daily spending limit on her card as well I believe at guest relations desk when you get onboard and then depending on how much money her mom gives her you can limit how much she spends each day so she doesn't run out of $$ while you are on the trip.

glad it worked out. When are you going? Hope you can have fun even if your friend can't go with you. Good luck with the knee surgery when that happens as well. We sail end of Jan.. so coming up quick. :)

have a back up plan if something happens.. check into the train or buses or flights to first port like other poster suggested. This has happened to me but not since 1995. We got stuck because of a winter storm but that was back when the airlines still payed for everything so they flew us to Tampa (were suppose to leave from miami) and then the next day flew us to Cancun.. put us up in hotels gave us food vouchers and then we took the ferry to Cozumel and got on the ship. Missed the first day at see. Hoping for a good outcome and that you make it and have a wonderful vacation.

were on that same sailing :) our only flight option is a 12:50pm flight otherwise we have to wait till Monday. . just because we non rev - fun fun lol so we are flying in 2 days before and i'm just crossing fingers we get back to port on time and off by like 10am so we make that flight. will be away from my kids for 10 days would be nice to get home same day but if not oh well. I would take the 3pm flight the 10:40 is very doubtful I would not chance it.

are there any island tours you can recommend? would be neat to just tour the island for a few hours. kinda like in St Thomas where you can hop on a tour bus and they drive you around the island and make a shopping stop and a beach stop. let me know if there is anything like that. . don't really want to do a excursion through the cruise line just trying to keep cost down.

or in Nassau as well. . either stop would be fun to do some tour. . not picky which.
