That has been my experience - not long waits on hold and U.S. based agents.

I called regarding a price drop after final payment and was offered a choice between a cabin upgrade or a future cruise credit, not an onboard credit as I was hoping for. Maybe others have gotten an onboard credit as mentioned in another response here, but that was not an option for me.   Also, I was told that adjustments for price drops are not offered at all within 60 days of sailing, and luckily I was about a day or so before that point. That may vary by itinerary, and there may be some flexibility, but that’s what I was told.

Regarding the Free at Sea for drinks - it’s true the gratuities are equal to about 2 drinks a day.  But do check the actual cruise fare with and without the Free at Sea drinks (and dining).   When I unchecked these two in the booking process, the base cruise fare was less.  My upcoming NCL cruise is a port-heavy northern European itinerary, and I knew I’d be off the ship for long days and going to bed early for morning excursions - not much time to drink.  And I had no interest in specialty dining. So I passed on the drink and dining packages for a lower fare.

On the other hand, I made good use of the $50 per tour excursion credit.  That was a big savings. I even booked two excursions in some ports.  (It’s $50 for the first person on the reservation, not $50 each for two people.)

What about rate adjustments before final payment ?

There aren't really any cabins "next" to the Terrace pool.

If you're on Riviera and want to go to the Terrace pool, you would take the stairs up to the pool.

This is if my memory is working properly. I'm more familiar with ships with no Riviera deck. The Aloha deck aft is our favorite inside cabin. Stairs up to the Terrace pool. Another set of stairs up to the buffet.

In looking at the deck plan of Riviera, it appears that the Terrace pool is there..aft..🤷‍♀️

So, I just spent 45 minutes on the phone unsuccessfully, with the call center rep trying to reprice a September 2024 cruise.  Princess dot com shows the Black Friday price for my category IB would be $624 cheaper. The gal put me on hold 6 times and came back and said that there are no cabins in my category IB on deck 9, so it would now only be a guarantee.  But I see there are other IB cabins available on other decks.  Does Princess price by category, such as IB or does it also have to be on the exact same deck as your current booking?  I told her not to change anything and ended the call because she said the supervisor was not available.

Unfortunately, I don't have this with a travel agent who could deal with this.

PS:  I see it says for new bookings only, but I have done this before a long while back and hear others being able to reprice for lower fare.  This is 10 months out with a refundable deposit currently.

    Thanks for any advice.

Cancel & rebook with the new lower rate?

We are past guests. Confused about the up to $400 obc. I have $200 casino core obc & DH has $100 military obc.  Would the up to $400 obc also apply? I do not see it when I try to book.

The one time we did a balcony breakfast, we had not as much selection of "goodies" and there was no personal service. Delivered and left and this was years before the pandemic. Not impressed and never did it again.

Can u request  substitutions, DH does not do salmon or  quiche.

In our two experiences, one prior to COVID and one since, they put a cloth over our table and opened and poured our champagne. They did not serve each of the individual dishes, but set them up so we could serve ourselves in the order we preferred. We don't drink coffee, so we substituted with tea and on our most recent experience, they also offered to pour our tea if we liked. We declined as we are perfectly able to do that ourselves. This is what I meant by service - not like the service at dinner where they wait on you. We were not expecting that - but the service we did get was much more than standard room service drop off. They made an effort to set things up nicely and get the ball rolling so we could take it from there. I thought it was well worth the cost.

This really doesn't sound like a "real" CVP. Sounds more like someone promoting their new(?) Future Cruise Deal (probably the wrong name). There were several threads a couple months back talking about this sales tactic. The gist was that this was a firm called "Princess Promotions" that had been "authorized" to contact potential future cruisers and try to sell them a package that sounded too good to be true.  What made them appear to be "real" Princess reps was the fact that they had all of your info and cruise history!

Interesting to see that the 50% off sale ended and the new sale today is….extended 50% off..😂😎

However…I received an email yesterday from a Princess CVP. Had recently received several from her saying she was our CVP & to call her when we are ready to book. (Still on the fence about a CVP or a local TA) She said she had some deals on an upcoming Black Friday sale. I sent her an email with the cruise we are considering, she replied back with a better offer than I can see on Princess website. Would our local TA see the same deals?

We booked a C/NE trip out of Boston for a surprisingly good price when Princess first opened them up for sale a few months ago. As it's a July 2024 sailing, the hotel prices are stratospheric in the downtown area near the port, so we're going to stay much farther north in Burlington, right on our route down, then drive the half hour down to the pier the morning of the cruise (unless I can find a hotel with a good Park and Fly package).  The Hampton Inn right at the pier is almost $CAD800 for one night, for example, and the Homewood Suites next to it is over $1K per night. I'll be trying Trinity to see if they have anything useful

    Anything through Trinity?
