For FP, you can give Princess or your TA any credit card to pay. They don't have to use the one in the App (in fact it certainly is not used for that if using a TA).
At check-in, you can present any valid credit card to use for on-board charges.
Yes thank you I know this. I'm just afraid that Princess's system won't accept this card to pay my fare if it believes the number is invalid. Also, I get more points on travel purchases on this particular card, so I'm missing out even on pre-travel purchases. I use this particular card for everything travel. I have some steps to take this week to see if it can be sorted out. If needed I'm sure I can get a new card issued with a new number, but that is so inconvenient because I'd have to reset up all my autopays.

Ocean ready will not accept my credit card. It’s a Costco visa and keeps saying invalid # ( it works fine everywhere else). I have tired it several times over the last few weeks, same result. Any ideas?
Me too! I tried entering the numbers by hand, by copy and paste, by Google, on the app, on the PC....nothing works! The card doesn't expire for a few years and is active and working. I think it's a glitch because it's a card that I had put in through the app, then removed, then tried to put it back in. So for now I have to use a different card to book specialty dining. It better get fixed before final payment time in September because this is the card that gives me travel protection! If not, I'll have to cancel.

I prefer Celebrity but cruise Princess to break up the monotony. Celebrity seems more upscale in decor and ambiance. The specialty dining feels more special. I describe Princess decor as "vanilla". On Princess we book a day in the Sanctuary to make it special. I love that all Celebrity ships have nice solariums that are free, with very comfortable loungers, in the shade. I do love the Princess Royal class buffet though.

Yes, it is very frustrating. I booked Enchanted in December and ran into this problem booking every category of balcony. There was no option other than to allow Princess to choose my cabin, which also means that my deposit is under the non-refundable guarantee program even though I booked it under a promo that is supposed to have refundable deposits. The travel agent website doesn't allow agents to select a cabin either. I've never run into this before and hope that we don't end up on a high floor because I get seasick.

Dazzles is your best bet. They play a lot of pop music thru the ages (DJ and house band). On our cruises on this class ship it wasn't techno club music. Also check out deck 4... maybe you'll find some music you like in Jazz or Blaze or whatever venues are there these days.

It was eliminated in 2019.

The same is true in Ft. Lauderdale this week, making me so happy!

Royal Ups are commissionable at the agency's regular rate, so it's like upgrading the client without having to do any work. Maybe the big box agency had to opt out in order to maintain something else that RCCL gives their passengers or some other compensation to the agency.

I was told last week by the C&A phone desk: "Whatever you choose remains on your Crown and Anchor profile as your preference unless you change it."

I booked a cruise for the last week of February. I'm afraid that there could be a covid surge after that with families and college students flying and cruising for spring break, then Easter and Passover travel.

I posted on Sunday morning but by the afternoon I could no longer post to Cruise Critic.

Cool! You just posted this from your Millennium Basic Surf package account (and you are not in a suite) and have had no issues accessing Cruise Critic boards logging in while you've been onboard. That's good news to hear!
Yes to all. A few weeks ago I could not use CC with the surf package on the same ship but now I can.

CC is working on Millenium and occasionally I've been able to text. I was able to send a video message on FB Messenger too.

On Millenium, we just went upstairs and decided to sit at the pool because NO ONE in the Solarium is wearing a mask! The good news is that I have Surf wifi and CC is working!

We've taken 2 cruises in the last month and just stayed on the ship.

We're on Millenium now. Most people are wearing masks in elevators and when walking around, but too few in the theatre and elsewhere. I have not seen any enforcement. The staff try very hard to be friendly so maybe no one wants to play bad cop. For our own safety we are spending the days outdoors, and spending more time than usual in our stateroom. There are a few free movies on demand, so yesterday we planned our concierge class champagne and movies in bed as our activity. We have dinner in the MDR but not near other people. We are still really enjoying the cruise and are so happy to be at sea. At home we choose to only dine outdoors, and mask up everywhere, so this is still more free than we are used to. We are planning on testing at home a few days after our return, before we see people.

When looking at our cruise Jan 14th it says sold out. Does this mean the ship is full?
No. It means they aren't taking more bookings at this time.

There is a CVS out west in Plantation that does rapid antigen tests. There are also CVS stores in Miramar and Cooper City that do either rapid antigen or rapid PCR. just be sure to schedule way in advance online!

Yes, we are trying to line something up for tomorrow or Monday morning.
You can go to Lab Doctor on SE 17th St in Ft Lauderdale. No appts. $49 for rapid antigen.

We have this hotel booked for Fri, Jan 14 for 1 night pre cruise. Could you recommend a nice restaurant for dinner & breakfast? Just looking for good quality and reasonable prices. I appreciate your feedback.
Good quality for reasonable prices is a challenge in downtown Ft Lauderdale, but these meet that criteria: Wild Sea for breakfast and dinner and Big City Tavern for dinner. Reservations are suggested. There are 2 restaurants in your hotel that I haven't tried yet.

While connected using the AI Surf mode is it possible to send and receive cell phone text messages?
Is there a mobile carrier that works better than others while onboard Celebrity?
We are on Equinox this April.
I have T mobile and could not use regular text messaging on Millenium surf in December. I was able to send text messages through FB Messenger and WhatsApp.

Liquor Selections- My wife and I both had the Premium Drink Package, but were disappointed at the selection of liquors and wines at the bars and restaurants. Many of the liquors were not available and you were forced to choose from the Classic items. It seemed that bourbon, gin, tequila and many cordials just were not available.
I also found the beer, wine, sake, and spirits selection to be understocked. There might be a supply issue, but we weren't able to get the drinks we normally get.

We'll see you in January! We were on Millie a few weeks ago and it was great. We were also on her in the inaugural season and a couple of yrs ago in Alaska, so we've seen all of the transitions.
We didn't have a suite this time, but honestly the MDR was great. I think there were about 1200 people on board, including a big conference group. We had no trouble finding seating anywhere anytime, except for the martini bar. Tuscan Grill was crowded and loud...servers were stressed out and hurried, and food was overcooked... we left without finishing our main courses.
The slot machines weren't busy. The casino tables were busy at times.

In Miami in October the Diamond line would have saved us at least 30 minutes, but we couldn't find it until after we checked in.
